The Real World

Hey folks, I wouldn't often do this as I don't want to generally ask anyone for money outside of the emulator's absolute needs to keep functioning, but some friends of mine run/work with an Animal Shelter in CA. They have a poor little puppy that's full of life but was born without front legs. They're trying to equip her with a little set of wheels so she can lead a normal(ish) doggy life. If you have a ❤️ for dogs and are willing, I would appreciate you joining their group to raise the funds. At the bare minimum, they need another 80 members in the group on Facebook before they can actually start a donation pool for it directly, but they do have a PayPal as well. H…

There is another space game that i play some times. Won;t mention any name's, but it's in sunset at the end of the month, so i'm steering some of the good players over here. Just saying.

It's been a while since I've logged in, just thought I'd log in today to wish all a Merry Xmas. Btw It's Golf

This morning I woke up to the sou d of heavy equipment in my driveway. The phone company was replacing the connection box for the street located between my and the neighbors driveways. They did not give any warning so either my portal got fried when disconnected and reconnected the lines. Or they did not connect us correctly. So no internet broadband signal or land line phone. Next available appointment is Thursday after noon.

Happy Labor Day my friends Heaven forbid that any of you live near me. The closest players I know are/were Evermore and Trillin. beer.BMP burger.BMP

A GREAT book... I was anxiously awaiting the movie. The movie was so far from the book that I wept! (not really) What a dog of a movie. The only things the movie had in common with the book was the contest and the character names. IMHO Wait until it comes to cable. Just saying, Mim

<Sigh>  after multiple 80 miles round trips for testing and doctors appointment,  the results of my latest tests are in,  (sigh)  Well its Cancer,  those of you who have been here a few years might remember I lost my left kidney to cancer in 2010 (the tumor that time was 18 inches long by a Foot around).  My tests revealed that on my right kidney there are several cancerous cyst like objects,  They are discussing with the surgeon who did that last surgery  the options of burning them off with a laser as opposed to cutting them and my kidney up, I am all for that i need my kidney or most of it so i can be a nuisance to my wife,…

I would like to say Merry Christmas to everyone playing this game, and extend thanks to all who have made this project happen. We have all seen a lot of ups and downs, but we all have come together to make it work, yet, another year. Merry Christmas to all Randy

I was o my o line to do tickets today as I was busy with a system. Upgrade here at the house. I had an issue with my laptop lock f up and not responding. I do d the issue, it was my at&t uverse modem/router the particular network if I was plugged into on my laptop was being finicky and intermittently disconnecting. I also had bought anew desktop on clearance at Wal-Mart for 200 dollars it was missing the power supply cord. 50 dollars from HP. I unknowingly plus Fred the same cable into this new desktop and was having the same issues with disconnects. But it connected wirelessly. No problem. I looked at my network switch I had one one. Slot I moved the cable there …

Well I am up in San Jose California for a couple of days, attending my Daughters College graduation. She Graduated this morning with a BSCS, (Bachelor of Science in Computer Science). Lets just say Daddy is a very proud person. I will be home tomorrow evening and back to my regular Schedule (mostly) . On a side note i just finished 25 days of radiation treatments for my kidney cancer on the 24th so that will allow me to be in game more also. Woodstock DGM I look a little elderly in the pictures i have been on Chemo for over a year and just finished 5 weeks of radiation.

Ages ago (pre, and even post Sunset) I extolled the virtues of this game and its community. When I found the emulator I was overjoyed, a blast from the past WORTH spending my time on. In fact, there was even one month I was actually able to donate to the cause (prior to my wages getting garnished for unpaid college loans). I survived wipes. Most were server wide, some were fleeting moments of stupidity on my own part. But throughout these wipes I tried to maintain the friendships I had made through this community.... and slowly I've been watching these friends disappear. Some have left because of real world problems, some because of the backstabbing and b…

I am posting this personally, and I invite my friends and colleagues to expand and enhance this post with their own comments. Our staff was informed last evening that one of our own has jumped through that Last Gate. Richard Jennings, known to most of you as Satanicexhile, was a creative and driving presence in the development of the emulator project. He was a member of the Net-7 board of directors for several years, and our CFO. He was an advocate of our presence in social media, founder of our presence on Facebook, and a positive influence on everyone that contributes their time here. He is THE reason we still have a graphics team after many others hav…

Through some basic tweaking. I've been slowing making the switch to Linux. Its' been tough but it's working. There have been a few pieces of software that keeps me tied to Windows. But Now all my games I play are working on Kubuntu. List includes, WoW, Team Fortress, Halflife and Finally Earth and Beyond. I have found other replacements for some of the windows Softwares that I use, and some of the windows software works with Wine/PlayonLinux so all seems to be rolling. I'll still keep it on dual boot.
