1. I'd be interested in looking at the video Taallonn mentioned about making, and the hypothetical situation that may arise with two group battling near each other.
2. Some discussion on how mobs interact with each other has been happening recently. To get a more representative view, please let us know what you think about how mobs interact with each other. Things to consider are: How long do they take to help other mobs. Do they help other mobs? Do too many or not enough mobs help other mobs under attack? How far can/should they get help from other mobs?     I've now locked this poll as it has been over a month, and the answers have been collected.  At least one fix for recursive calling of help has been addressed.
3. One thing not previously mentioned is that mob behavior CAN be adjusted. There is no need just to turn it on or off. There are settings for how curious they are, how likely they are to help, how far they can send their shout for help and all that. I think it is more of a matter of fine tuning than just a blanket solution. From a previous post someone said they'd like to be able to pop up and kill a mob without their friend 4k away knowing. I say perhaps. One thing that we may want to consider is how much noise a battle makes? Maybe a mob doesn't say anything and is slaughtered, but you used shield spike which was very noisy, causing others to investigate. That could add another aspect of game play. Be loud, kill quickly and possibly be caught by mobs, or kill quietly and possibly slowly and perhaps make it out without alerting too many. Finally, it has been said before, but the goal of the emulator is not to make it exactly like live. Live is a baseline and in some cases we improve from there. Have the ability to make more dynamic mobs and group mobs is, I believe, part of that. I'm not saying that you guys are wrong, but the investigation should be slow and careful. To reference Castagere, maybe we should have a poll, as it does sometimes seem big changes can come about due to a few players. That would give us a more balanced view from the players I believe.

E&b Radio

Hereis some instructions on how to add additional music to E&B and some tunes to add. [s]Hereis the previous discussion on the radio[/s]. I'll actually merge them together too.
5. Here are mine: Although I didn't take a shot of my cursor over the hull, it was zero, which is why I took it. These are older screenshots, and not recent, but highlight the issue(s) mentioned above.
6. The desire for credits to do xyz is the base of the economy. If nobody cares about credits, you have no economy. IE if people have 500 Mil credits all the time, nothing really to spend it on (or spending it in such small amount it does not matter, OR getting it so easily it does not matter) then a part of the game is missing. Yes, builders can certainly build for free and do it for the love of the game. As I said before, I mine for the love of mining, but it makes it even better if I can interact and sell ores to other players or fill orders. An economy adds to the community we have since you have to interact with others to trade. No economy makes it pretty easy to have an online single player game (though you should be able to if you want), not a MORPG I don't think it has to be love the game or worship credits, I think you can have both.
7. Hah, fun stuff! If it is reproducible or happens again to you, please enter a bug report here.
8.
The Economy Is 1/2 of the game. If you build and give stuff away you take away the reasons why we hunt, mine, build, quest, run trade, do missions and Jobs. Therefore you take away the very essence of the game and we have another stress test. I was hopeing the Builders of our game would make the economy for us, by getting together and decide What the prices should be. I am guessing that they don't know the price's, don't know what to charge, don't care about the credits as much as most of us do, making the stuff we do in game "a rat race with no meaning or purpose" There has got to be an Economy ! Greed in game is Good ask Dewinter. While you may be helping a few people you ARE NOT HELPING THE GAME.
I've got to agree with Phorlaug and Stanig. You are seriously impacting a large portion of the game by having an ill-functioning economy. I'd love for the ores that I mine to actually be used in some building, but as mentioned there is really no market for it. You've just killed an aspect of the game which is arguably more important to explorers than warriors. The second class impact would be Traders, and least impacted warriors. Mining turned into something to kill time or to level, not the full challenge of finding those ores that were in demand or fulfilling a player's order. Still, I'm confident we can have a working economy in live. It will just take some time and changes as the game continues to evolve.
9. I could see it being useful with several Jens holding several mobs & the rest of the group working through them, and as they reach the mob you're holding you join in. Would be neat to try anyway But yeah, they mention solo play - HOW would it be of any use soloing? Maybe if you used it on a mob and wh'd out, but you could also cloak instead..
10. Hmm, "hot" topic with 7 Posts I'd be happy to bring back some hot topics, although you may groan when they re-appear!
11. For those having trouble submitting a ticket in game, can you provide additional details and create a ticket in the bug tracker? Do that or just message me with details, as I have not been able to recreate the problem.
12. very cool trailer, although my cynical side can't help but wonder why 2 enemy ships would go after a carrier
13. I feel that role playing adds a depth to a game not otherwise found. As Proteus said, they usually care a lot about back story and lore, and how everything meshes together. In my experience, knowing the nuances and significance of certain events as the game continues adds even more to the game.
14. You can host them at a place like box.com, then once they are uploaded can create a link to download them. In this instance, right click - share- get link to folder.
15. Certainly interested in an RP guild here.
16. Closed, as this is currently on the bug tracker.
17. Matt & Reon said it well - ships don't get destroyed and leave perfectly functioning items all the time. The idea is to have a hulk - a shell of a ship - scrap - that *may* have salvageable items. I could see arguments for more levels of debris (say some hulls are made of slightly move valuable material) but in the end, the whole point is to go through wrecks and salvage, which could be a chance of getting nothing 'good'. Back to Cherrypicking - there are many threads about this, so hopefully this won't turn into another. I'll provide links to others if needed, but I think the topic has been discussed pretty well over time.
18. Saw the video a while ago, but still like it The first time I heard of E&B was when the game was on an endcap at Target I think, on clearance. Picked it up, read it, looked at it, said "holy smokes this is awesome"! and bought it. I believe It was the first MMO I bought as I was leery of paying monthly to play.
19. Welcome aboard! Here is a link for some more detailed instructions if you want to play the additional classes and are having trouble.
20. same thing used to happen if you left the sector/docked (for kill #), but that may not be an issue any more.
21. Although I love the mission ideas and stories you've outlined, these are the BAD guys and there should be some downside to being friendly to the RDs. Currently there isn't unless maybe you gain faction by killing your own. Maybe it should be more along the lines of - align yourself with the RD or the Chavez. RD gets you the gate QAR etc, join Chavez and you get something good, access to something, that will actually make you think about which side you want to be on. Make both sides dynamic like Terran Alliance/Progen Combine looks like it will be, although now you only miss missions for the other side & both gain access to Moto. Still, love the mission ideas as big multi mission stories and tying things together are awesome!
22. Really, MS will release IE10 before they fix all the issues with 9
