It would seem that ripping and building lev 8 or 9 devices would work faster but it does not. You can go back to building lev1 devices again to build up your ability. Faction also matters at the station you are building those higher level devices at, so turn in those space suits and gene maps at the appropriate places to build your faction.

Well they dont have to be low level items, but you will have to build about 6000 items to get to 200% lv 9 builds. I like to pick an item I can build and upgrade to the next level to cut down on trips to the vendor or dismantler. So I will have 4 stacks of components in my cargo, build max number of items to fill my hold leaving 1 space open so I can upgrade those to the next level, rinse and repeat until all components are gone. Its better to do this in the beginning of a characters life so you at least get some experience while doing it.

Test Ship works great for most things like dps and reactor and shield recharge with buffs added. Just make sure to check the little box on the device you're testing to see what the difference is.   If you want to see the range of your guns with devices factored in , you can see it when you click on a target in game then hover over the weapon in the slot to see the actual range and how long til reload.

yep its working fine, just checked the lion beams. The db is awesome.

/unstuck works at the job terminals, never tried /endtalk but that sounds like it would be for vendor or npc hangups.

Shields do matter, but it is your luck that matters most. I've had my shields taken out from anywhere between 0 and 100% and into hull. This is with level 8 shield 51009 capacity. Enviromental Shield seems to help but not sure. I try to stay as far away as I can but sometimes I just go for it, and other times I didn't know it was going to pop as is the case with hulks. Sometimes the npc takes as much damage too from the explosion. Other times they are just duds and do nothing. I hate those. I want a mob to pop out to play with lol.

The christmas background is still there. I've had this happen to me many times. The whole site goes white for some reason and it only comes back if you close the site and open it again, refresh or reload doesn't fix it.

I like this idea, we need something to spend our credits on. I would also like to see a vendor for player made stuff.

I dont think anyone here would class you as a troll. This forum is different from others because we are all playing the same game. so taking part in the forums no matter how much is valuable for all involved.

Yea I remember the drones going out and mining for a certain distance and getting attacked, then sending out drones to protect the miners. The PS was my first character in beta and when they did the next wipe and removed the drones i was disappointed to say the least. I never played a PS again after that. Stuck to my JE and had a good PW. I started playing the PS recently on an alt and I like it. Still miss the drones though. The Drones are still in the Build Terminal but haven't seen a use for them ever again. Oh well, thanks for letting me know I wasn't nuts. :)

Does anyone remember way back in original beta, the Progen Sentinel had Drones for a skill? I remember there not being any graphics yet, and the skill got nuked early. Does anybody else remember this or am I nuts?

The first 20 levels on the JE are the hardest. Leveling my JE at times felt like it was going nowhere. But those were just bumps in the road on the way to 150. I remember around level 70 it felt like I was going nowhere. I just had to dust myself off and keep going. Mix things up abit. Do some mining and when that gets boring go kill something for awhile. Do some jobs to mix things up once you get to level 35. Find missions that are available to you, some give great exp.

I would guess that if its saying "name"  doesn't allow assisting, then the command still works or it would say " invalid command " or something like that. So it seems something would have to be done by the person or group leader to allow you to assist them. Not sure what that is.

I got my JE to 150 today. I did it with a mix of everything mostly solo. Its funny, when i got to level 70 everything seemed to be going so slow like i would never get to the next level. But after some mining around and picking my battles wisely I was able to get to 150.   Many thanks to the devs who have this game up and running.   Westwood had some really good games.

I agree /lastminer still doesn't work on hulks or anything for that matter. But really, who needs it for anything. It is such a minute detail to have the devs work on this stupid stuff, and for what. Lets let them worry about more important stuff, not who mined  half a hulk in a universe filled with thousands of roids and hulks to be mined. Get over it already.

Guessing the server is down as I cannot login either. I could login to toon select also, but after the message box pops up in the background Could not login to sector

I'm having this same problem. My character is Stevinium and he is in Margesi Sector.

Tried pressing "x" near the nav and it just brings the focus to Sgt Kagiso who is parked there, but still nothing happens.

I am also having this problem with my TE. Step 1/14 - Go to Nav Luna Hub and nothing happens. Started doing some of the other missions he offers and they work fine so far.

I like the opening video, and just hit escape to login at any point. The video is actually awesome if you think about it.
