Hi guys, I have an issue open with the vendor for this forum plug in/app that handles our donations now. We've gotten it back online, more or less but there seems to be a bug they think ties in with the version of the forum and they're working on the resolution of that first to confirm. FYI though, this is what it looks like when you click the 'view goals' link at the bottom. This is known and expected but we think the tracker should work otherwise.

Hi guys, There will be a brief game server downtime in the morning as I bring it down temporarily to update the operating system of the server a bit. Expecting no more than half an hour. This will begin sometime shortly after 8am EDT (1pm GMT) in the morning, as usual I will log on and make an announcement a few minutes ahead so everyone has some time to get out of any dangerous territory.

Hello everyone, Just a heads up, I will be taking down sunrise for a short period to bring the backing servers up to date with the rest of the environment, we'd normally have done this on Tuesday morning but missed it this AM. This is 10:45 PM US Eastern, which is 7:45 PM US Pacific Time & 3:45 AM GMT, at the present time for difference I think. If I haven't covered your time zone please convert appropriately from one of the above. I would expect no more than 20 minutes of downtime before I can bring sunrise back up.

Hello, I implemented password check against https://haveibeenpowned.com/ leaked list API. Your password is not sent there, just the first 5 chars from password hash. Portal may show warning about leaked password if you do any action that requires password (login, game account creation, password change, account linking).

in the past couple of hours. I was cleaning some firewall rules out after our meeting and when I made a change it was no longer allowing some of my custom groups to be nested into other rules. I believe I have this all sorted now so all public facing services should be back. Please make a thread in our Tech support section if you run into any issues accessing an expected service.

Heya Folks, just a quick heads-up on whats going on: a ) We were facing a server outtake because i made a bobo - thats first (fixed by now). b ) We are now investigating the problem where you got booted from login when trying to log into a toon located on a station (some even got it when toon is in a sector) We are trying to get things going quickly. Hi all, We are a little low on surplus at the moment to keep the lights on, so I thought I'd make a post and see if I could encourage some donations. We are heavily analyzing a way to reduce monthly costs on servers yet still have the game be playable with newer hardware options. Our current host has just become too pricey.

Heya everyone! We added some magic and unnatural code/mechanism to the game server, so it will restart automatically every tuesday morning 7am server-time...whatever that is in your zone So yay to "no more 600+ hours culprits". Note, the restart is unattended, so do NOT start any raid around this time because there will be noone to interrupt the shutdown sequence. Also make sure you log off BEFORE(!) server goes down so all your belongings are dumped to the DB. May the force...yada yada

Hello everyone, Just FYI, I have updated the forums once again to the latest security updates from our vendor as well as installing a base darkened theme. All the forum work is completed except for the following two things: - Restore a bug tracker type of application for you to post bugs for us to look at. - Some forum reorganization, possibly trimming a few out of the list that are unused (at least on the development side). To use the dark theme, please go to the bottom of the forum and you should see the word "Theme" with an arrow dropdown to the right of it, you can change it there. Enjoy.

the www.net-7.org/wiki rejects my login attempts, but [obviously] these forums do not. The www.net-7.org website also lets me login just fine, as does the game on Sunrise. the wiki does not present me with a password reset when it refuses my login and also provides no way to un-register or re-register [that I have found]. I suspect that it has set a cookie that is corrupt, but have no way to identify the specific cookie [afaik -- Win 7 Pro doesn't support that] and I'd rather not lose all my cookies for other sites [some are work related]. Can anyone advise me on how to regain access to the wiki? …

and can't login.. Please register again as they were rolled back by necessity due to the forum upgrades. Then please notify the GM Team, you should be able to use the same name as you originally used and then the GM team can link it to your game account so you can use all of your services again.

Sunrise was restarted today to address a bug and exploit issue.   The /craft command has been disabled; players have reported being able to manufacture complete craft sets (max cargo hold) using only 1 component set.   The Polar Express has been observed working incorrectly as regards the added cargo capacity. This buff has been removed.   A player was banned for a repeated questionable behavior regarding manufacturing/dismantling and selling components.
