Mim's whines have returned

Recommended Posts

OK, I whined about this before and thought it was sort of fixed.  Bio-Extractors acting as if they were Virix ...bad enough there are now attacks when exiting stations but...now bio mobs are teaming up, hacking and killing within seconds?  What has this game come to?

Bio-Extractors are the space body snatchers. Their entire purpose for being is to harvest your organs for unknown reasons. ;P

WHere did it happen near a station though?

I agree with what they are supposed to do, not just in groups of 4-5 acting as a coordinated pack. While I was fighting one 3-4 surrounded me and made me whine like a little girl.  So this is normal pack behavior?  Solo play is getting hard to play and I hate the thought of multi-boxing  just to do a bit of mining.

The Virix are around stations required for Progen upgrades...Take a walk on the wild side and visit a few.  I can dig farther back in my log if required...

Hey Kyp...Here is the chat section.

:14:32:31  [New Players] LeanneTS: Arx Spartoi, Endriago. Do yourself a favor and dock that station from the top-right to avoid undock ganking by vrix

I recall only two places where Bio-Hunters behave like that;

1) in the fields in Arduinne, where you can attract 5x CL46 and up to 2x CL55 if you are not careful. But those navs are not on your star-chart and its not a place where NPCs tell you to go. You are exploring and running into a bad place.

2) in XT near their stronghold in a grav-shear. Which shouldn't be a problem, the game warns you extensively via NPCs it's dangerous behind the forcefield.

--

The Vrix at Arx Spartoi are a problem though. New characters and newly returning players who choose with progen already had the Primus hurdle, and the ambiguous hull-upgrade conversation at Warship Genesis/Aganju.

But now they also get gimped at a station which handles parts of their starting missions and skill unlocks. Putting CL40 V'Rix there, was an unwise change.

The place I was mining was in neither of the places you listed. And there were 4 - 5 Level 50 Bio-Extractors that acted like the V'Rix.  This happened about 8 months ago when I whined about it at that time.  It seemed to be fixed.  I was fighting one and had the other 3 or 4 show up almost instantly.  I have a .09K sig so I didn't think I would attract that many that were not visible.

And the whine continues,

Mim

Is there something special about that spot that you don't mention the location?

I went to check out this thing...yeah a low level will be killed leaving the station.  A touring group of 40's in a hexagon pattern are just doing flybys.

A miner usually does not give away their best-est mining spot but...I guess it isn't an issue anymore.  I was in Lagarto.  A high level ore field 7-9 and hulks to match.  When there I can usually fight off what ever comes my way, or if 2 or 3 attack, I have time to power down and wait for their departure.  4-5 hitting me at the same time with the hacking of ALL abilities, sort of renders one incapable of a defense strategy.

P.S. My PS is maxed of all abilities (except missile) And ammo, but this is relatively new.

@CDevs:

Database Object 19848 is maybe too close to the station, would place it 10K more out.

Database Object 19849 is for sure(!) too close to the station, that one is like 2K outside the station, it should be like 25K ?

If any1 can replace the spawns before tomorrows restart and hola so i can sync DB...

PS.:

Im moving 19849 now in game (temp solution till restart).

Hi Zack, I moved both offending spawms out last night & reduced the wandering zone of the one spawn to help stop it wandering towards the station and then seeing a target...

Dev server won't let me in, so I haven't been able to double check its effectiveness, doh! it was my VPN causing the problem accessing Dev...

Four of the five Level 50 Bio-Extractors instant aggro.  So are these now V'rix toadies?

Just asking,

Mim

Yup, but the pack aggro is something that I never had to deal with...see other posts on it.

So is it possible for the devs to wipe my PS and transfer my points to a Jenny with cloak? (Kidding) paper is not a good hull material.

Just continuing the whine

Thank you for the ding... not sure why but thank you anyway.  I always appreciate a ding for no reason.  As if it meant anything.

My sig is 0.9 Is there a way to get that lower on a PS?

Would be hard to guess without a listing of your cores , weapons (type) and devices.

below is the list useable by Progen sentinel , of equipped item to lower signature

A fragment of Ancient technology.

The InZen Baka is used by Clan Chavez to see farther and faster,
while keeping their own signature low.
Baron Samedi's Ara
(L6)
i_pu48.png
Baron Samedi's Ara is said to have the power of Oluwo, the Lord
of Awos. Always searching for an edge in battle. Cecilia
Serrano-Basilio bartered with Baron Samecli's order eventually
giving up her share of the Chavez mining operations. Cecilia has
been happily disrupting Red Dragon mining operations ever
since.

Baron Samedi's Ara controls damage done to weapons,
increases Missle Weapon skills increases scanning range, and
decreases ship signature.

This launcher uses Chavez Ara
Missles.
Baron Samedi's Iku
(L6)
i_pu40.png
Miguel Chavez sacrificed many Red Dragons before coming across
this weapon, though it is unknown why a Red dragon was in
posseeion of such a scared arifact. Miguel then granted Baron
Samedi's Iku to Juan Pelayo Arnedo who is believed to be the one
who will capture the traitorous Javier Montero.

Baron
Samedi's Iku controls damage done to weapons, increases Beam
Weapon skills, boosts scan range and reduces ship's signature.
Baron Samedis Arun (L6)

The net-7 database as ZERO return for any ** Activated ** reduce ship signature item for Progen Sentinel

they cant use the Musca device line ( Jenquai only ) nor the Pleiades Reactor line ( Progen restricted )

----

Might be an opening for a new mission idea for Agrippa or research by some progen into stealth borrowing/copycating

depending on the Dev and CDEV willingness to adress this

suggestion make it a recover musca and pleiades mission to give to a progen NPC who then ask you to learn to build new progen devices ( based on Musca ) and reactors ( based on Pleiades ) and engines lines ( ask for lower solar sail from bogeril for study ) from the returned item he select .

NPC name sugestion could be : MimIr the Sentinel researcher

could be introduced into the Ceres base for additionnal hardship ;-)

Yeah i complained about these mobs alot too. In live they were not this powerful and attacked in groups like they do here. In live one of the best hunting spots was around OMP. The claimjumpers were great lvl 20 mobs to hunt. But now its ruined by these bio extractors sneaking up on you will you fighter the other mobs.
