  1. Cool. I may revisit FS then, because when it's working it's great to have a low sig and be able to pick the mobs out of the group and fight them one at a time - esp. when you only have 3 weps as a JE. No plans to solo Nags anytime soon.
  2. Not being in a guild in the Emu I honestly don't know the answer to this so that's why I ask - there's no Guild channel in Chat? While I agree having a functional Guild member status indication would be great *if* there's a functioning Guild chat channel a lot of what you say is addressed - "Is there a <functional resource you need> on?" seems to take care of quite a bit.
  3. IIRC in Live it was possible to see the member list of any Guild; it was at least possible to see a list of the Guilds and the various rankings assigned. Certainly far from a priority but it's something I'd like to see in the future.
  4. EA has a market cap of just under $6B, so just get a few friends to kick in a little and in no time you can buy a controlling interest. I'm reminded of the ubiquitous sports radio call-in show conversations that start with something like " . . . then we trade Milton Bradley for Derek Jeter and a first-round draft pick . . . ".
  5. That's a shame. The conflagrations created by various guilds using shared chars/passwords that ended up stealing from each other in Live generated endlessly entertaining discussions, threads, and drama - I've always eagerly anticipated the introduction of Guild Vaults to allow that to be stepped up . . . "Another Notch. Bam!"
  6. Shield Recharge + Hull Patch + Repair Equipment?? Really? Seems rather extreme.
  7. How do you propose this would be monitored/enforced?
  8. (Relatively) modern PC: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R mobo Intel Q9400 ATI Radeon HD2900 vidcard (waiting on delivery of HD5850) running an OLD OS, Windows XP SP3. Maximum compatibility ftw.
  9. New and interesting engines might make engine building more attractive. As it stands now, IMO, build engines is the least interesting of all build skills.
  10. Is this working now? I've resisted putting points into Fold Space until I knew that Fold Enemy was actually working. Seems sad to see Psi Shield go but with Recharge Shields I guess it's better to max the latter instead.
  11. Great news and recognition of how great a resource your DB is.
  12. I wasn't sniping and I tried to say it as nicely as possible - which is why I *didn't* quote the original material you posted that many reading this probably never even saw. I don't see how dropping the F-bomb and similar language like you posted in the forums (but since cleaned up, thank you) should be tolerated anymore than it is tolerated in-game. I hope I've made that clearer for you as to what I was requesting.
  13. May I respectfully request that we please keep the language on the boards at the same level it is requested to be in-game? Thanks.
  14. Of course part of Afterburn will also be a raise in sig of, oh, 100% for 20 seconds each use? Hey, you can't hit that nitrous button without making some noise!
  15. Probably even better if we just require everyone to play with a GM at their side. At login you would be held in a starting base or sector, your name would go in a queue, and then eventually when a GM was available you would be released to go out and play. Obviously if there was a GM:Player ratio shortage your gameplay time would also need to have certain severe limits on it so that others could get their gameplay time. Hey, if we limit it so that there could never be more than one player active in the game then we would be sure that nobody was getting "advantages" over other players! Problem, whatever that problem is, solved.
  16. Ya gotta slight typo there. As I remember from the EnB forums during Live, it was spelled anDRAMAda. Galileo FTW!
  17. Glad to hear it!
  18. Yup, yup . . . could be that's why they called the class "Explorer"?
  19. You know, you're right. Come to think of it, what about people that have better computers than you? Faster processors, better vidcards, better ISP connections? We know that ppl with bad ISP conn's are more likely to CTD/GTD - simply unfair. I demand that we put a cap on all PC equipment and ISP connections and require everyone to play down to the lowest common denominator - anything else is "unfair". What about those people that have more free time than others? They are able to spend more time in-game and get "advantages" over other players with less free time (or RL's). Also unfair! We need a cap on maximum time in-game/per day to level the playing field! Ohhh, and don't get me started on those people that are . . . young! I hear they can read the default text color in General and never have to fiddle with the /setcolor command - that's really unfair.
  20. Nope, only from being *accomplished* thieves.
  21. Nope, only Trade Goods.
  22. Chicago, IL - cold and waiting for a big snowstorm to dump on us starting tonight. Played on Galileo until Sunset in guild Obsidian Asylum as Jarod (TT) and Warsteiner (JE) as my two primaries.
  23. Then the answer is "Yes".
  24. Almost as rare as getting miners to share where there (secret) favorite mining "holes" were, once they'd found them.
  25. Q - did "Zizzy" register for the Stress Test and receive an email to confirm? Separate and distinct registration from these fora, common problem.
