1. I don't need a wipe.... cause I always wear my Depends.
2. The XP already has a built in drop-off of sorts, as you level up it requires more xp to fill the bar, thus giving diminished returns of a sort. Are you going to diminish the XP further? And how will that affect the built-in diminishing returns?
3.
Maybe some other surprises. I can say this thus far, not everything has been done for Halloween on the server from what I've seen
Care to give us any hints Rojo?
4. While a tad long winded, with a couple of typo's here and there... Gratz Devs! I had a blast doing this mission. The Pumpkin Chunker and Eyeball Popper are cool toys, and the 2 skill points was "cherries on the top". Thanks for all the work you folks put into getting this event together. P.S. Thanks too for making the Snoball Launcher work again.
5. I guess maybe my memory is rusty also. Yes, I read the patch notes when the new skills were added, yes, I was playing the game at the time. But, I really don't remember the 2 minute cooldown being there all the way through to sunset. After all, many things were changed shortly after patching into the game, adjustments were always common. The thing is, until the anger skills work properly to hold agro on the warriors, sap was an excellent stand-in tool. Not to mention the added dps factor. If the tank lost agro he could easily get it back using sap. This is no longer the case, if he loses agro now the other guy that got the agro is dead before it can be pulled back, unless the mob is killed first. We have lots of things that still don't work properly relating to mobs, and skill useage by them or players. As I understand it there was certain folks who somehow used sap effectively giving themselves god mode with infinite shields, this needed to be fixed! The skill was effectively broken as it did not transfer sapped shields to the group, just the player himself, which caused him to receive too much shield per sap. But, does it really require the 2 minute cooldown to mitigate that exploit? Fixing the problem with group sap would mitigate the returns to the pw. As to the PW being nerfed to being useless, I don't see it that way, it's still a tank that deals alot of damage and takes it too.
6. As a TT, I am always thrilled when a JS is in group, especially in raid formats. The energy buffs and optimization keeps me in power much much longer than if they were not there, and they do a fine job of healing as well. Another benefit to the JS in raids is, some of the mobs spread the love towards the healers, the JS doesn't get their attention near as much as a TT or PP. Sure they aren't a killing machine, but neither is the TT. The Privateer is another story, a killing machine and healer all rolled into one. In almost all of the "tuff" raids, ie: GoBB, the JS makes a huge difference in the outcome.
7. Farmed yes, quickly no. More like lots of people spending lots of time stockpiling.
8.
The real problem has always been the limited AI, that the healers can sit in perfect safety while the PW tanks everything. Getting the mobs to spread their damage out is not an easy thing to balance, especially right now when various defensive skill/equipment/buffs do not yet work. There has been some progress though. Eventually, I think a certain skill will need to not attract aggro through the damage it does, or even better, maybe have it "repulse" the aggro when it deals damage to a mob. Right now it just reinforces the aggro, keeping it (mostly) on the tank, which even the new aggro mechanics haven't been able to overcome that well.
This is not completely true anymore. There are several raid scenarios that spread damage to the healers. Albeit not like "live" where casting a heal was cause for instant agro from everything in range, and where warriors had to use their hate skill to recover the agro before the healer melted. Until the warriors hate skills work, the mob ai should not be changed too much, or, instead of pw's leaving their toons parked, the healers will be.

Ship Decals

Sounds like a cool idea! I was always proud to have my FF decals on my ship in live.
10. I belonged to one of the smaller guilds on Andro that were lucky enuf to be friends with MM, and get in on some of the raids. There was always some kind of drama from other guilds about timing sucks and such. I still remember the "allied" forums on MM's site for rotation issues and such. For the most part things went pretty smoothly after the big guys got a rotation going. And Ryle is spot on about some of those raids and the camping that happened. Market channel went by so fast with sell ad spammers it was hard to watch lol. The community here now is vastly better than live. In live I kept many of the channels closed because of asshattery. Here I have most of them open, and not one name on ignore. Maybe it's because most of the folks here now, are older, more mature, or core folks who loved the game and are glad to be back.
11. The only thing that made the sap too powerful was the ability to cast it while inversion was running. Many other skills will not allow that by simply telling you another skill is running. Why couldn't the fix have simply been to stop the overlapped skills? I have a PW, and never knew they would overlap simply because I knew that most skills won't allow it. I have never seen this skill as unbalancing the class. In a serious fight the PW still needs a healer along, or he's gonna warp out to recharge. I have seen PP's use inversion at the same time as shield recharge, which clearly is unbalanced. On a different note, something has happened to the Voltoi in Antares, the spawns are scarce since the patch.
12. I was at work, running a heavy equipment repair shop for a contractor. We first heard about it on the radio, then watched some of the news feeds on the bosses tv. Not long after that we saw all the commercial planes in a landing pattern one after another headed for the airport. I'm pretty sure our airport had never seen so much air traffic before, or since. The planes had all been diverted and instructed to land regardless of destination. Bad times for sure.
13. I'm one of those unlucky ones that have never gotten an activation email. Must have something to do with my ISP. Added another account that needs activation please. mjrdude2 mdrozan@sbcglobal.net
14. Much of what "live" had changed during beta to live, price wise. And after launch changes were made constantly to prices in an ongoing attempt at balance for the economy. I remember many threads on the forums about balancng the economy. There were many threads concerning balance on every thing lol. EnB was, and still is a "fun" game to play, whether balanced or not. IMHO economy balance should be way down the list of things to fix. The game is still in stress test mode, and not even to alpha or beta as yet. Many things still need to be fixed, and while the economy is one of them, it does work atm. Lets give the Devs time to get all of the broken stuff fixed before worrying about stuff that works, just not quite right as yet.
15. Just as in "live", I have a TT comp builder. I also made a JE miner to get me the ores I need when I need them. I have ripped comps, who hasn't? But, like was mentioned above, 99% of the time I rip low level stuff for the low level ores that nobody is gonna want to bother mining. The system is working here pretty much like it did in live, mechanics wise. Now, if we had 2500 folks playing daily, the demand for ores would be far different than it is currently. And I'm certain the market channel would have lots more WTB/WTS offers for ores, etc.
16. I was in on the mayhem that happened when Nathan Zhao and his cohorts put up a last stand. I still have a screenie of the encounter somewhere.
17. I remember many hulk fields and asteroid fields there. Mining was always challenging with the Manes and Oni's running around. The Tempest encounter was also tons of fun, building the OCD, then as Lot said above, keeping it secret to avoid folks trying to steal the prize.
18. Switching off "New Player" doesn't help the new players that need help. The problem was in live, and has moved here, and is next to impossible to fix. Prre had the best solution posted above, put the offenders on ignore, that way it is easier to see the posts of folks that need help.

Sorry to hear it David. I haven't seen any of the ads due to being in the donator group, but I had hoped it would help get folks to donate. I noticed we are sadly behind in donations this month again, which is already half over.
