For the very first run of ENB there should be always this reg be done(don't know if the Launcher install does it): Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 (this is Win 7, i believe for XP it is version 4.00) [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Westwood Studios\Earth and Beyond\Registration] "Registered"=dword:00000001 Create this key in registry or take the whole in a text file and change the extension to .reg for a registry file. Double click it and confirm. That will ensure that ENB don't ask you to create a new EA account. greets Hexergirl
  2. That's already on the way. As mentioned from CDel the mobs now are in the works for the new loot table system and the behavior. The most have the old system yet, but with the time all are edited to the new system so they have all that, reactor, shield, engine and skills and behavior. But as always, it takes time to get all to the new system. greets Hexergirl
  3. As far as i know the buttons can be repositioned in the inis. At least the button can be taken out or disabled greets Hexergirl
  4. Hmm, you know all how it was in live? That was pure grinding and often some weeks. Here you can do this in mid-level range(about CL 20-25) in something like 3-4 days, 7 hours per day, to get access. If less hours a bit more time. So i would say it is already a fair amount of time to get access if wanted. And there is another way to get some RD faction(no, i don't give a hint ok, i just say items ). And maybe if the 2 missions from Tzu come back in i would think it is fairly easy(for me too easy, just my opinion ). greets Hexergirl
  5. Ok, just to sum it up a bit: 1. Fishbowl is end content, therefore no one should just go in and expect to kill some mobs for just ammo. That was set up in the beginning to have something there with all the bosses, at a time it was not possible to start a RAID as it is possible now. 2. The 4 hours timer i have put in, because i assumed it will take some time to complete the whole RAID inclusive the Master. And it seems, its a bit too long for some, but also many don't get it to the Master. But, i have changed the timed RAID now in a non timed one. Many of you know how it was in live i think, after the next content update you will have to hunt the comp for a device, build it, and hand it in to Old Booney in Fishbowl to start the RAID. The device print you will get from Old Booney for a little fee in Cooper at the gate. The Feather is one comp to hunt from RDs L48. They are located in Cooper and hopefully soon also back in Inverness. All other comps are normal looted / buy ones. 3. If i have the option to lock the gate and just open it if the device is owned i will change this to that. But right now as i know we can't lock and open a gate per mission. (as i know Tienbau is working on something like that) Now you can tell me what you think about the change. Until next update i can do changes if needed or wanted. Just to remember for everyone: You can always logon without the launcher with this shortcut: C:\NET7\bin\net7proxy.exe /ADDRESS:87.106.15.67 /CLIENT:"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Earth & Beyond\RELEASE\client.exe" /POPT In this case where the DNS was the problem it should be the easiest 'fix'. I have always this shortcut on my desktop, and normally launch the game with it. Just every day i check one time for an update with the launcher. greets Hexergirl
  7. Not really logical.... Terrans have to be the fastest to hold the distance to the mobs. Also Missiles always have longest range, never can projectile have this range. Missiles have their own drive forward, that way having the longest range. Beams can't have the range of projectiles because beams using light, therefore need so much energy to get them focused, the more, the longer the range should be. Progens don't need a fast engine they don't kite mobs most of the time. Also the short range skills don't give them the choice to kite effective. What i never understood in live version that is the fact the progens have the same power on projectile as terrans on missiles. Should never be the case. But they came up with these projectile at the end of live game and messed up that a bit. Faster reload and 1 weapon slot more they should not have the power of missiles. greest Hexergirl
  8. Yes, Prima Guide was already in about 6 months in most cases obsolete. And yes the PWs did spam their skill just on lower levels, mostly for faction grinding. I never saw a PW using shield leech on raids. Here i would say, in live it was always the case that not only one had the agro because he was dead in some seconds if in range. Means, in FB for example, they did so much damage that, if you did not spread the mobs enough you were dead, and not only one. So i'm not glad about the system right now, that one PW can hold the agro all the time and the others in the group can sit and laugh about the mobs. That wasn't in live. You could always be a target even if the main target was the PW. But here, even if all are shooting it seems the PW can hold always the agro. I don't think that should be the case. greets Hexergirl
  9. Since only the fishbowl right now is set as a raid, only in fishbowl are 100% drops set. And the fishies in cooper are all set. They have the new drop tables set and since they are just named nothing else, the good drops are rare and will stay as that. greets Hexergirl

  12. CL is not really relevant if you have a much higher overall level, just takes a bit longer if the CL is lower because of lower level weapons. greets Hexergirl
  13. Ok, no tactic or cloak. Even if L8 and L7 'flip flopped' would L8s do more damage at a steady fire rate. Take for example the Purple Dragon: L7 291 damage at 200% + 175% base damage = 800.25 damage -- even if at L7 30% beam damage used would it be only = 1040 damage L8 465 damage at 200% + 150% base damage = 1162.25 damage So you would never do less damage, if you just fire without cloaking and waiting for the beams reload. And really, i don't know a device that would cause a reduction of such a high amount of damage. Edit: i had a look at the code and it's definitely correct, at L7 150% and at L8 175% greets Hexergirl

Pit ---> 9sec reload Soulfire ---> 2sec reload Purple ----> 6sec reload Stone ----> 2.5sec reload i think combat cloak ---> 3sec until double damage Stone = too fast for combat cloak even without turbo --- damage lost Purple = too slow for combat cloak with turbo, or too fast if you count in two rounds(compared to the slowest one) --- damage lost Soulfire = too fast for combat cloak even without turbo ---- damage lost Pit = even with turbo a bit too slow for combat cloak timing --- in 2 times cloak 0.4 sec lost, but is ok yet. Since using combat cloak and turbo would be the optimum for damage: 9 sec reload or 4.5 sec reload would be the best beam setup for 40% turbo. greets Hexergirl
  15. Just one thing to consider: You can compare lvl7 and lvl8 beams only if you use a comparable setup. Means same devices, and for beams, have they turbo, what reload have they, what buffs have they? Normaly, the lvl8s should be in all means better, if you just look at the the DPS. But, just an example: 4 L7 beams 6-8 sec reload --- 4 L8 beams 2-6 sec reload Combat cloaked used. That could mean with the L7s you are able to kill faster the same mobs as with the L8s Now get in a turbo, then the L7s in all cases outdamage the L8s Because you loose damage since you have to wait for combat cloak being ready even though one ore some of your beams are faster ready than combat cloak. just an example for sure. greets Hexergirl
  16. Yeah, but i would suggest to copy over ALL accounts from play to PTR not just requested ones. That way all can at every time log on PTR and test things. Nice side effect is, the PTR would have the same state as the play server + the update to test. greets Hexergirl
  17. Ok, as i promised in game here some things explained for the Fishbowl: Old Booney: Ol Booney is on a 4 hours timer. Means all 4 hours a raid can be started. The Spawns: If Booney is killed, 1. spawn after 60 seconds 2. spawn after 3 minutes 3. spawn after 3 minutes 4. spawn after 3 minutes 5. spawn after 5 minutes 6. spawn after 5 minutes So you have between the 3 biggest bosses 5 minutes to sort your loot and such. Now, if after 4 hours the raid was not finnished and the last raid was atleast the first spawn killed, it is possible to start the raid again with the first spawn. A spawn is killed if ALL mobs in this spawn are dead, not just the boss. If Old Booney is killed again and last raid was not finnished, the old raid will remain, and a new one starts. Means if you kill then all the left mobs from last raid, the next spawn after the one where it stopped will be triggered. Same goes for the new started raid. So if you are unlucky and kill both spawns together, the left one from last and the new one, you trigger two different spawns as next. My advice, before you kill Booney look around and wait a bit, if you can see a mob left, or have big boom with you. I know everyone who comes in can kill Booney if he is spawned. I would like to freeze the gate from cooper side if a raid is started, but right now there is no other way so you have to deal with it. And for the solo players: Don't try to kill Old Booney just for fun and maybe killing one mob. It's just not nice if all mobs have to be searched in the whole sector after a while because the mob behavior is not nearly perfect atm. Even more if already a raid is going. I wanted to have the raid in now, even if the spawns are not optimized yet, but i thought it would bring back a bit fun if all work together and follow some easy rules for now. Ok, if you are on a raid and after killing all visible mobs, the next spawn will not be triggered, some are missing. Just wait. Have a break and fun, the left mobs will come back to their spawnpoint. Could take a bit but they will come back. I hope that clears it a bit up and you enjoy the raids. If something is not explained just ask here. greets Hexergirl

    Fold Space

    I have tested the fold space skill on Dev Server and there is no such thing as 'set speed to 0'. So either already changed or i don't know why your speed is set to 0. greets Hexergirl
  19. Yes i know, he was talking about orbiting a planet and making this a bit visible, giving you the feeling. The sun does that. The backround isn't possible to rotate(possible yes just not visible in game ), but there is a way for stars. And if i'm right that is already in use. Just so slow that you can't see it really or maybe to few stars. Because i think i saw something like that. The stars are possible in the same way as the sun and moons. Make some screenies of the background where stars are visible, if it is in use you would see it in some hours. EDIT: Oh, i just thought a bit about the skybox....it is possible to rotate the background... greets Hexergirl
  20. hmm if you want a corrct view of it go to Witberg, ECS Deutschland. have a look from planet away to the background and wait. What you think you will see? A sun, and it 'seems' the sun is rotating around the planet. Now have a look at the planet, what you see then? The planet is rotating, and in the other direction than the sun. Now if you are near the planet, as you call it 'orbiting', what would happen with the sun? Right, the planet rotates in one direction(since you are orbiting you may not see that) and the sun in the other direction. Now, you are already orbiting from your point of view. Because that would exactly happen if you orbit a planet. This effect if i'm right you can see in every sector where a big planet resides in. In other sectors are smaller planets but a sun. So you haven't a sun rotating. And the third are the sectors they have no planet and no sun, there is also no rotating sun. The sun would not really rotate, but you would see it as that. I think, we have that already. Or i'm wrong? greets Hexergirl

  22. Not to be rude, but how about a bit just look and try? It's a game, have fun to try out things. You really want every step to be answered for you, even not asked yet? Do this then do that........that's not a game that's real life. Is it really so hard to come by if you have 3 skills available and the first one won't start, it could be that the other two maybe will be obtainable? Especially if i think about devices, they need components........so could be first comps, then devices. But to get the comps out of a device i analyze / dissemble it......so might be devices first, then comps. And no need to build comps to build a device. If i buy devices i don't need both of them. And that a skill tells you where to learn and at what level, are just needed informations. I know if you are new to a game, you can feel a bit lost that's normal. But then i go out and try this and that, and if nothing helps i ask in chat. But for me, i want all doing by my self, just if i have no options anymore, i ask in chat. But if we ever get the tutorials working, then there will be a bit more infos available at the beginning. greets Hexergirl

  24. For build components you must have build devices first. If you look in the skill descriptions and see there are more than one at your level ready then try all if there is one you can't get. Build devices should also available for y;) already. greets Hexergirl
