  1. Nah, Enbdemo.exe installs the game to its default path C:\Program Files\EA Games\Earth & Beyond\ or the equivalent on your machine.
  2. Here's what I committed last night, so unless I change my mind this'll be it for a while. Thanks for the ideas. I didn't really like the original set myself, I just never got around to updating it. Scout > Tracker > Spotter > Outrider > Pathfinder > Ranger > Elite Ranger
  3. You do realize that the only reason this copyright was added is to prevent others from taking the code, claiming they did it all, and trying to charge for or sell services for what we intend to be open source work, right? Your response looks like you didn't read the copyright header nor what the terms were. Everyone's entitled to an opinion though, so if you did and this is still it, good on ya.
  4. Just make sure the launcher path is pointed correctly, shouldn't really matter where it's installed.
  5. This might be on me, whereas cygni is concerned TB, the harvestables were only recently placed before opening it up. The timers may not be set. I'll take a look at it soon.
  6. by the way, I meant your windows user account, not the game account.

    Guild Chat

If you all remember, this sort of thing was accomplished by channels created and password protected that you could invite people to. At least that's what I recall.
  8. Vista? If so, log out of your user account and back in. Should work after that.
  9. Alright, you got my attention. I'm thinking about it.
  10. Yep, we've used it many times to try to pull ebportal and other such sites information in the in-between periods when it's taken down and put back up.
  11. If you're on vista or seven, run as admin. UAC blocks registry settings that these tools attempt to set for the game to use.
  12. The neutral band should be -2k - +2k, I will have to look into that. We worked from a bunch of base resources on the initial numbers. They may bear a review but should be relatively close to correct.
  13. Having watched some guilds on my server camp and sell loots for large sums of money I could concur with that. We'll be considering it very carefully when we look at balance and economy. High end craftables is probably something that we'll definitely see but for the most part the Items team is going to be managing items and the economy. Those individuals could possibly give better insight on what they want to tell right now. Aschera and Riia are the two most responsible for that stuff at the moment.
  14. Wouldn't really create any lag, we could just take a timestamp and an IP and save it when you looted it. Or a user account, and if we see high end stuff that trades hands we could take closer looks but herein lies the problem with RMT (real money trade) while we can see these things, in most cases the items CAN change hands through normal means. We have no means of determining if it was bought from another player with real money. See what I mean?
  15. What does the speculation cover in particular? That would help in giving you an "official" answer.
  16. Currently no, but something like this would be one way to enforce it.
  17. I felt the need to address these two statements, Floss. 1) Trade Runs won't always be this way, albeit they may for now. SD we've heard mixed reports on how it worked and have little hard documentation on that one skill. 2) Actually the question is "How does this make the game more fun?" at least this is what I've been told whilst pursuing my degree but with that in mind, what was in live is the initial state, thus the one we restore before we look at ways to make it better and all documentation points towards Auto-registration being the way it worked, despite what people remember. Human memory can be a very foggy thing indeed. There are also screenshots showing players docking and seeing messages like "CONTROL: Registration Accepted" in the system window. If proof can be provided otherwise we certainly encourage players to come forth with it, but what we have says otherwise.
  18. We don't want it to happen, but would have no way to enforce it unless we caught someone doing it.
  19. RE: Soloing the Gate Now I know for a fact (as I used to solo the outside tada o gate) they eventually nerfed that behavior and gave all the gate guardians extreme scan range beyond the range of any Terran missile. It was that way at first, but later on this behavior was stopped because of complaints. The damage multipliers inside the fishbowl will probably be adjusted eventually to more accurately be like live when we can do much more complex mob AI.
  20. From a big picture view: Implementing a scripting system so we can make more dynamic missions and encounters (read: RAIDS) and then we have to go through the balance passes on everything to make it all fun and not let one class be super-powered (y'know, the fun part that everyone loves!). Kyp
  21. This is not a problem because as David says, we're not claiming copyright over anything they did and because we are not distributing the game client or selling it.
  22. Because it isn't required by the license and it gives you a reason to play our server. Open source requires that we provide you the code and data necessary to make the project run, and that's what we will do. Now, after it's been available for several months on our server, we do plan on releasing such data, but those story publishes will be held back for a time to ensure players have had a chance to experience it on THIS server. If the private shard/server wants to make their own, they can do so, otherwise they will have to grab it when it's made available.
  23. Notice the Whistleblower policy in the Code of Conduct? That applies to everyone on the project, regardless of position. They cannot visit any form of retribution upon any player that comes forward with such proof. If a Board Member tried something like that it would be a removal from the Board and very possibly the project depending on what they had done.
  24. The last time this area was adjusted was prior to the addition of mob skills.
