  1. I have a Nvidia card and the drivers can be finiky with EnB for some reason. Like Rolo said, start at low settings and work up from there.
  2. Unattended macros have always been a no-no. From what I have heard attended macros are allowed, but don't know for sure. Never used em in live or here. I'm here to play the game, not have my computer do it for me... what's the point?
  3. I agree with extending the timers on boss mobs, maybe not quite that long, say 15 minutes max. In the past you could hold a corpse open for a long time so someone could get to it, has this changed? I would be ok with looting announcements if they could be toggled on/off. This would get real annoying if it was on all the time.
  4. I guess I'm missing something here, all of the skills that double twice are activatable whereas HDC is not. Not that I'm trying to argue the point but, all of those skills also require reactor with the lone exception of HP, which was just changed to be inline with live. I do agree that HDC has some diminishing returns at higher levels, which is why my PW has yet to max his.
  5. How can that explanation be correct? Taking the example above of "80 (-41)".... If I am taking damage to shields I have always read that as "damage dealt (minus deflects)" It has always appeared to work the same for hull taking damage. A minus sign indicates deflected or mitigated damage, and no minus sign indicated additive damage due to mob debuffs, such as "80 (41)". I'm pretty sure it was explained this way in beta and live. Or have I been reading it wrong since 2001?
  6. Make sure to set all executables to run as admin. Also depending on your machine's OS, you may need to run in win xp sp3 compatability mode. Welcome to one of the MMO's of it's kind, and still one of the best.
  7. The only change to Hull Patch recently was reactor drain removal, which is as it always was supposed to be. In a tough fight, it will still take a concerted effort to keep the tank alive. Also of note, you can spam HP on a target, but if you hit the key too fast there is no heal because the skill was cut off, but there is still a Hull repaired message. Dunno why that happens, but it does. I catch myself getting in too big of a hurry at times in raids and have seen it more than once. If the skill is interupted there should be no message. Not to mention, when the mobs start disrupting skill use, the healers will start seeing more doritos on the field.
  8. A couple things to do in Win7, rt click on the executables and set to run as admin. Also make sure to run the enbconfig tool, as admin. It sets the game up and writes to the registry. I also have Win7 64, and have everything EnB set to XP sp3 compatability.
  9. Personally, I think the economy is just about right currently. I have started new chars and not given them handouts, and they seem to get just enuf credits for the next level gear as their skills progress. One of the things concerning raids that I notice: It's darn hard to find that fragile balance between too easy and too hard. The server for whatever reason struggles with anything more than 2 full groups in close proximity to each other. Guns blazing, skills used, mob movement, etc. lags things to the point of CTD's enmasse. While we all have fond memories of how they worked in live, needing multiple groups and such, the server just can't handle it, or the network is choking, dunno which. So raids need to be kept in the 2 group or less area for now, imho. I don't seem to have many problems with CTD's at session changes so I can't comment on that. All in all, this game has progressed by leap and bounds from when I first started, so kudos on that and keep on truckin.

  12. If that is the mission where you have to kill several, go to Carpenter near OMP station, or near the gate to Shepard.
  13. Not to derail but, NP chat has always, from launch had the message in green text. There are many other channels for general bs. And no, I am not one of the chat lurkers waiting to pounce. People are people and will make mistakes, lets not chastise them unless they really deserve it, and there are sometimes folks that deserve it big-time. One of the things that makes this game great is the community, lets keep it that way.
  14. Kinda like the hold would be the back seat in the car, and the vault would be the trunk. Only accessible from the outside and when docked/parked.
  15. The basic tokens unlock agrippa missions. Go to Mars and chat with the relevant npc's there for what missions are available and where.
  16. Yeah, it was great fun! The lag was a bummer, as were the ctd's, but to be expected in a crowded area with that many people using skills, firing guns, etc.
  17. A TW using any of his skill set is gonna get hit by the mob. The skill ranges are all short in order to put the TW in harms way. Sure they can kite, and in doing so it takes much longer to kill the mob than it would a PW or JD, and missiles are expensive. Any Terran worth his salt is always worried about credits. Lets remember, the TW is a hybrid warrior, part warrior, part trader. Don't believe me? Read the Prima guide on the characters of each class. All Terrans have always been long range combatants, using speed to avoid damage. I think of all the classes in game atm, the TW is prolly closest to what they were in live.

  19. Same here Terrell, the marketing of the game was horrible. I can only assume it was due to EA wanting to kill it off quicker.
  20. EA's moto "If ya can't beat em... buy em, close em, destroy em, absorb em, etc" lol. ;P paraphrasing of course, all the usual disclamers etc.
