  1. Good luck! You'll be good as new very soon. :)
  2. Yay!!! Now I have an excuse for the drinking. :P
  3. Unfortunately, there are always some folks that need to 'vent' their feelings. Usually after they have had their say they regret what they said, sometimes not. If it keeps up, then they are in the wrong guild and should leave or be kicked.   A gag function in guild chat would only cause the person to get frustrated and then the chat would spill over to public channels for all to see, which most folks don't want to see the drama.   Some compassion, and discussion might help to calm matters down. Or maybe not, who knows.
  4. I was running jobs to Freya the other night, there was a roid with 3 Disco and some other stuff, I landed almost right inside it every time I warped up there. I purposely cherry picked it to test the despawn thing. Around 29-30 minutes went by and that roid had despawned. From what I could tell the other roids there were the same, maybe the whole field respawned I dunno.   At least the stuff that gets cherry picked will respawn. :)
  5. My heart and prayers go out to those that lost family or belongings in that storm.
  6. The original agreement worked until... too much gear was getting into the game too fast, and the Devs slowed the respawn of the timed raids (GoBB, etc), which effectively cut some people out on days in the previous rotation. So, while everyone was pointing fingers at who might have done the raid, when they might have done the raid, and what reasons they did the raid at what time of day, it all points back at the Devs for changing the timer. Now I am not slamming the Devs or anyone else here, nor do I agree with the reasons for the drama and having to redo the rotation, but it did need to be done. Folks from VGE, and I'm sure Static, and BI were feeling slighted because of not being able to do the raid, and the drama was bound to happen eventually.   While there will always be problems encountered with any player solution, this latest rotation seems to most I have talked to, to be the best way to go for now. Hopefully it stays that way for a long time, cause the drama does wear on folks, they get enuf of that in RL.  Lol :)   Edited for clarity
  7. I'm with Bell, are the other 2 raid bosses per week then FFA? Or is it suggested that the guild kills the same boss every time it spawns in that week period?
  8. I have long been a supporter of activated raids. The timers lend themselves to drama due to folks butting heads over a spawn. Most folks that do the raids, do them for the fun foremost and getting the phat lewtz second. The activated type lends itself to a 'guild' event, scouring the star lanes for the widgets to make the coolio thingy that activates the raid, to doing the raid. A series of steps the entire guild can be a part of and have a hand in. Much better than line-up here, shoot there... if nobody else is shooting first type thing.   If working on converting a timed raid to activated takes away time spent on content, I'd side with the folks above that say do the content first and the conversion when time permits. :)   Edited for typing with phat phingers.
  9. 1 and 2 might work, kinda depends on how much time the Devs have to implement something like this, and to balance the drop rate. I would need more info before agreeing to either.   3 will not work. It was like this before on Gobb and Troller. The timer was given the buffer to stop the camping and strife that it caused.
  10.   Matt, I agree. There are some misconceptions on the 'inside track' thing though. I won't debate that there may have been one for some folks, but I will say that this was never the case with our guild. We practiced and developed the teamwork and worked to aquire these trinkets. So, not everyone that gets these items has any inside info on how or where. I suspect most others have done the same.   As to the nerfage, st4/beta was full of them. It has to be done to balance things out. As much as I hated some of the nerfs to skills and items, I do understand why.  Then along comes 'live' and I figured we would be done with nerfages, but again there they were. Grrr lol   I am all for a balanced game thats as close to the original as possible in gameplay because thats what we all fell in love with, and the addition of missions and items etc is a cool thing. New stuff is always good. My only wish is for a little more planning before patching it to live. It hurts to be given a new toy and have it snatched away (nerfed).   I hope the Devs don't lose heart and give up, because they do some really cool stuff aside from making this game playable again. Kudos to them for their efforts! :)
  11. The mission was a lot of work for an awesome reward.   From what I understand, most of the upset has been caused by the changing of the item after it was introduced to the live server.   The best way to stop the rage and upset is to prevent it. IE: carefully review the mission and reward before patching it to live. Had the item been warrior restricted at the onset, there would have been none of the drama that resulted of changing it afterwards. I never got around to doing the mission or getting the item so I have no stake or bias one way or the other. It just seems a little more planning/testing/reviewing would be in order for future things of this nature.   I may still get off my slacker arse and get one someday even after the nerfage. ;)
  12. Just shy of 2 hours, mostly due to us stumbling around not sure of what to shoot to progress the raid. ;) It'll get better after we do it a few times.
  13.     This ^^^ is exactly how I remember it also.

    Auto Follow

Wasn't it that way before and it was changed to 5k? I seem to remember you could hit autofollow on anything you could target (mob wise) and begin following it. For some reason I forget it was changed to the 5k distance, back in st3 or early st4.
  15. There is also a link at the bottom of the page "Mark Community read"  which is very handy.
  16. Welcome back Darkk, I knew you couldn't stay away!  j/k :)   I'm glad to hear you are not leaving the project! :)
  17. I also want to thank the Net-7 devs and staff for all the work they have put into making this game what it is today! :)   I'd also like to remind those same devs that the "whining and griping" should be taken as a compliment in the highest regards. A piss-poor game would not have such devoted, hard-core players who are so passionate about the game as to get all bent over something that gets changed in it. A piss-poor game thats horribly broken would have nobody playing it.   So, major kudos to you devs!  :)
  18.   Also of note are the numerous sectors that were not in original live. :)
  19. ***************** Guild: Voncorp Galatic Empire Founder: ammocomps ***************   Our original founder "Vonbon" rarely plays anymore, the officers decided that ammocomps should be voted founder. :)
  20. How about an orefield guardian that floats around and attacks nobody, with a little difference, when targetted it shows as a roid in the target window same as a roid or gasbag? When the macro attempts to mine it, <BOOM>!!   I know it's silly, just couldn't think of anything better.
  21. Good post! :)   If I had the time and skills I would volunteer, sadly I have very little free time, and even less developer skills. Which, by the way is the main reason I don't gripe about stuff that happens. Kudo's to all you Devs who spend your time working on the game we all love.
  22. It happened to me also, so I changed tactics, picked on a mob away from the others and kited him. Took tons of ammo but finally got him.
