  1. [quote name='Knix' timestamp='1303900805' post='39859'] My suggestion for new wormhole locations for the scout: Adriel Prime Odin Rex Pluto and Charon Inverness Kitara's Veil Grissom Muspelheim [/quote] I don't know if you had any particular reasoning for these locations, but if we were to use the JE's wormhole ability as a model the second wh location would be Earth (since JE's second goes to Jup, Jenquai homeworld the TS would be going to Terran homeworld), beyond that I don't know the original developers reasoning for locations (SE could be because that's where the only other Live Jenquai class was based?, maybe VT was because it's a Jenquai station way out there with decent ore fields, and I honestly see no logical reason for ABB, Carp or Endriago, but we have them, so there! ). I DO like your KV idea, however Inverness and Grissom might be a little too close together, considering there's a Carp wh already that would give 3 locations in a relatively small area. I'd suggest maybe keeping Inverness (or possibly even changing that to Arduinne just to add a little more distance to a "competing" wormhole). I'm sure some JE's would complain that this would be another phasing out the usefulness of the Explorer, but quite frankly I would like to see more wh locations even if it IS a Terran that has the ability. Now the question is are the DEVs willing and able to do this (they may have something else on the board)? Would they have to call it something else (if the skill named create wormhole is locked to the current wefts they might have to find an alternate name for the skill)?
  2. It isn't a problem as long as you don't wh to SE and show up right on top of someone's lvl 150 combat job mob, happened to me twice, first time someone js'd me and I went on my merry way, second time I was able to survive the first hit and warp away.
  3. [quote name='Terrell' timestamp='1303768294' post='39747'] When you did the calculation for the JT did you take into account that reactor optimization isn't included in the planner? Total skill points required to max a JT is 379 [/quote] you're right I did miss that, thanks for pointing that out.
  4. Out of sheer curiosity I started playing with the character planner on Net-7.org JE, JD, and TT require 412 skill points to max every skill out, that's lvl 150 + 136 skill points (so using the 136 "extra skill points" as a standard, I did a little research on who's missing out) JT maxes out everything with 54 skill points left TS maxes out everything with 44 skill points left PP maxes out everything with 36 skill points left PS maxes out everything with 15 skill points left TE maxes out everything with 15 skill points left PW maxes out everything with 01 skill points left Obviously the new character classes are missing out the most, I know the DEVs have Afterburner on the menu for the TS (which even if that went to lvl 9 would leave 7 skill points unused, but 7's not as bad as 44). I don't know if DEVs have anything on the board for JT or PP yet or not. I know whatever the DEVs do there's no pleasing everyone, but I am curious if the JE, JD and TT had all those skill slots in Live. It just seems they would have to work the hardest to fill everything, assuming a player WANTED to fill everything. Yes, I was bored when I did this, but would like to know what other players think of this information.
  5. I chose the JS. In Live my main was a JD, but now... my JD is probably my least played character. Yesterday I was able to take on a CL 60 drone in BBW with more than 8 times my hull+shield and managed to keep my shields up and kill it without a single scratch on my paint job, maybe my play style's changed since Live but imo the JS really kicks some tail. I admit being able to keep your shields up probably isn't new to experienced TT players from Live but for someone who played strictly Jenquai having the hidden classes really changed the rules of the ball game for me
  6. [quote name='Kyp' timestamp='1303116914' post='39307'] GMs having the ability to inflict silence would be darned useful, but otherwise the player should individually be able to ignore. I see potential problems with the community vote silence stuff. Course, that's possibly just an excessive fear but I expect it could lead to more problems than it corrects if not implemented very very carefully. [/quote] I'd have to agree with Kyp on this, giving players a /silence command and having others vote on it could cause several problems (ie: Player A mistells x word when (s)he dies in a raid, Player B snaps a /silence before they even have a chance to apologize and has multiple accounts to add votes leaving Player A unable to even ask guild or group for jumpstart, OR Player A feels slighted by Player B in some way or another and has multiple accounts and nothing better to do than keep Player B silenced for a long time). I think ignore and/or screenshots should continue to be the standard operating procedure. Give all players a little extra power and some will find ways of abusing it.
  7. while I like the idea of having my JE on a second account I'm also patient enough to know that there WILL be a wipe eventually (whenever we go to the next phase) and I'll be able to have my JT and JE running around together then. If a toon transfer becomes available before that will I take advantage of the opportunity? you bet! but if not, oh well, lol
  8. *laughs at the thought of 3 or more pop rocks going off at once*
  9. don't know if someone managed to log into my character or not, but it seemed as if I had no control over destination or warping. Was typing in chat to guild and next thing I know I spun around and started warping in Odin Rex, there was absolutely no way my typing could have chosen the destination The Path from Gate to Odin's Belt, and I know I didn't hit q while typing to engage warp. after warp was engaged I CTD and haven't been able to get back in so I don't know what's going on now.
  10. IF I can manage to get in I get about 10 seconds of game play (if that) and CTD again, have tried with Local Cert, without it, have tried with and without packet optimization and with/without Prototype Reorder, cannot seem to get in and stay in
  11. I too have a stuck toon in Ragnarok, Vamptaxi
  12. [quote name='Tienbau' timestamp='1300144395' post='36569'] hmm, the problem just 'went away'. Before it did, I managed to gather enough data to work out what it might be though. One question - when you are unable to log in, is the char that's stuck mostly on stations? [/quote] I always dock before logging off, and am now stuck with all my toons. Don't know if that helps you in anyway TB
  13. I voted I'm just happy to be playing again because even in Live I tried to be a generous person, sure if I spent millions on parts & then had to build something I wanted some compensation. AND I know that not everyone played like me, I wouldn't expect them to, that's the beauty of online games: everyone bringing their own unique personalities and somehow everyone seems to get their fair share of enjoyment out of the game. I'll say this now and as long as I'm playing, if I have the recipe and you bring me the parts then the button click is free, any tips will not be turned down but they're not expected As far as racial competition goes, I think the reason there's so much about the Gate War (or was it Wars, plural?) in the game, Live and now, is to actually teach us what CAN happen if we allow tensions to grow. As George Santayana said: "Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. When change is absolute there remains no being to improve and no direction is set for possible improvement: and when experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." I will admit, however, to only playing the "tissue paper hulled" Jenquai, but that's only because the Jenquai seem to fit my play style best (cloak & dagger), but I hold no animosity towards Terrans and Progen.
  14. I just have a question: Someone mentioned that Whitelighter brought down the mob in 15 seconds, so are they trying to say that once VonBon's team saw White was damaging it they all withdrew? I can probably see 7 OL 150s bringing it down that quick. If White managed to do 51% of the damage gratz to him/her, but unless VonBon's crew stopped firing when they saw White doing damage, bringing up a 15 second kill doesn't make any sense to me. But what do I know, as you can see by my sig I'm not at OL 150 on any of my toons and I haven't played in a while because of some real life problems.
  15. No, you're not on my friends list, if anything I'd like a list of all your toons so I can put them all on my ignore list. You made a post in my guild forum that my homosexual brother took offense to and he stopped talking to me for a while (thinking you were already part of my guild and since I was trying to get him in the guild... I guess maybe he thought I joined a gay bashing guild, idk). Fortunately the post was removed, unfortunately it was quoted so parts of your derogatory comments are still there. Yes, my brother may be a little on the sensitive side, but when it comes to a choice between him or some @$$ on a game... I'd choose him any day of the week. And in answer to your question about do I have any purpose other than being a Jenpie whiner, I just have to say I play and keep an eye out for bugs and exploits and have even reported a few, so I'm actually doing something to help the game.
  16. The NPC you need to talk to is the woman behind the terran NPC in the lounge, can't remember the name right now. She doesn't charge anything and I think these were supposed to be temporary patches (like Jorgan Hook for TT Build Shields skill was in ST3) because according to Marco's blog the way it's supposed to be is JEs have Build Reactors (with a lvl 1 recipe) from creation and the mission for JS was to get that lvl 1 reactor from the JE. Essentially the JE would be indirectly teaching the JS how to build reactors.
  17. Tyran, do you even have any characters or do you just like to troll the forums trying to irritate people? With your condescending attitude you show here, and your homophobic comments about Jenquai, just what is your purpose here?

    Vendor Levels

https://enb-emulator.com/index.php?/topic/788-bazzar-areas/ https://enb-emulator.com/index.php?/topic/574-indicators-on-vendors/ I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I love it actually, but it has been posted before and proper usage of the search function prevents multiple postings of the same idea.
  19. I can totally understand how some of you might be annoyed that it's another EnB-free Saturday, but try to see it from the DEVs' point of view. The way I see it they're working full time at their paying jobs, supporting their families, getting their bills paid, logging into the game so they have a chance to play like the rest of us and get flooded with tells. What's the first opportunity for them to get any major work done on the game? Saturday, and that's assuming their wife-faction (if applicable) allows it. Hey, I know for a lot of you, you have to work full time supporting your families, pay your bills, so on and so forth, and Saturday's your first chance to play and if that's the case for you then the server being down is really unfair to you. But, let me ask you this, what's better in the long run: The server being up every Saturday, crashing all the time, missions continuing to be borked (the whole Murphey's Law, everything that can go wrong, will), or the server goes down, the DEVs get needed work done on it eventually bringing the quality of the game to Live+, and you get to spend time with your wife/husband/kids/pets/parents/whatever?
  20. I'll admit I didn't sit there and read the whole thing, mainly because I had so many crashes it was impossible to read all the comments. As I recall I was there for the initial "attack mode" as you call it and I said in General chat that I was busy doing the lvl 30 HU mission (and I don't think my JD would have survived his/her proposed blind leading the blind tour). Could I have logged to my JS and helped? Yes. Did I believe their attitude warranted my help? No, that's why I didn't. I frequently change my plans (and characters if need be) to help someone, especially if it seems no-one else will. Quite frankly, Mistergreen, your comment of launching a satellite (my opinion) wasn't too bad, even Player C's "stop abusing the dead" could be seen as trying to end the conversation before it went too far. They were put in my post because they were part of the conversation. It's the treating the person like refuse and "WTS razorblades" that really offended my sensibilities. Why am I being so sensitive about this subject? Because every morning and every night I have serious thoughts of suicide, but being able to get on the internet (or even better the game) and put my thoughts out there and maybe even get input from others gives me something to look forward to. Would I ever kill myself over something like those comments? Probably not, but I have heard of such things happening.
  21. Minerva was simply looking for a tour of Grissom, Shepard and Cooper when no-one wanted to join (s)he got a bit upset and started saying this wasn't the same community as they remembered from Live. They later apologized, and almost half an hour later the following comments were still going on: (BTW so as not to get the players flamed I've changed their names to Players A-F) (9): 0:42:15 [General] Player A: I like enbarsenal but it does have more issues than Minerva:) (9): 0:42:27 [General] Player B: ROFL (9): 0:43:10 [General] Player B: omg my kids are going to wake up from my laughing heh (9): 0:43:28 [General] Player C: hey, stop abusing the dead. (9): 0:43:50 [General] Player D: WTS razorblades (9): 0:43:56 [General] Player A: lol - Zombieland here eh? Need a char named Woody:) (9): 0:43:57 [General] Player B: ROFL (9): 0:44:24 [General] Player B: that brings to mind, should we hold a funeral procession through Saturn? (9): 0:44:40 [General] Player E: Someone make a guild "We Tour Cooper" (9): 0:44:42 [General] Player F: nah, just go to Glory's Orbit and launch a satt (9): 0:44:48 [General] Player B: lol (9): 0:44:55 [General] Player A: pfft treat it like a job- dump the refuse into some sun:) Sure, Minerva shouldn't have blown up, but comments like "WTS razorblades", talking about treating the player like refuse, and other stuff like this after they've apologized? Has our community become one of bullies, are we all just the popular kids in high school now? Players A-F, if you read this I'm sure you recognize your work, have you never made a mistake? Have you never debated something that you were sure was right then got shot down and proved wrong? Granted this may be an extreme (and possibly ridiculous) example, but what if the OP has depression issues and your comments in game that I'm showing here led them to suicide? How would you like that fact hanging over your head? I have to admit after reading the above comments I was half tempted to leave too, but the fact of the matter is I love this game and I know how to use the ignore button. BTW, I don't know about anyone else but in my personal opinion those players are guilty of griefing.
  22. How about we let Postfordfan1220 continue to build his map and change the title of this thread to "WARNING: CLICKING ON THIS MAP MAY SPOIL YOUR GAMEPLAY"? Really, have we come to the point where everyone must play the game exactly the same way as everyone else? Maybe there's a few radical players out there that don't want to explore as their hunting, stumble upon a big bad mob and get killed in one shot. I personally think this map can be a very useful tool and if you think using it will spoil your game, here's your simple solution: DON'T USE IT.
  23. So glad I'm not a Progen. I understand the concept of Growlz and can appreciate the bit of role playing you're doing with her, but simply looking at her communications gives me a bit of a headache. I can guarantee I won't be deciphering her talk tree or doing the mission, but keep up the good work anyway.
  24. unsure what to put as my vote since I've seen EMP, Chemical and Plasma hit me too. So I'm choosing not to vote
  25. You know it's players like whoever that was that PM'd Toreava that gives the E&B community a bad feeling. In Live this was the best game because of the community. All exploits are supposed to be reported, as well as all bugs, misspellings and any thing else that does makes the game anything less than what it was in Live. Toreava, I for one applaud you for reporting that exploit and apologize that you met someone like that. We, as a community, need to find these exploits and the people using them intentionally and make them feel uncomfortable, instead of them making the ones that are trying to help the game feel uncomfortable.
