Welcome to the community. As others mentioned, the close knit family is what has kept interest alive for EnB imho. Even those such as myself who tend to solo play most of the time get help and good advice when asked for. Yes, the game engine is dated but the folks behind programming the new content will keep things fresh and they do listen. I look forward to the Beta phase. I hope you and your friends find a new home here. I know I missed my MMO sci-fi fix at Sunset. So glad EnB came back....a tribute to the family community.

So many kind hearted and friendly people in this community, you should have no problem that can't be solved or answered. Ryle is right, stay in New Player chat for awhile and don't be afraid to ask any question that occurs to you.

Mayberry was definitely a part of my youth. I think I identified with this program a lot as my Pop was a deputy sheriff and I encountered a lot of the same situations in my life that arose on the show. Will be in perpetual reruns as long as humans are here on Earth.

[/quote] Great ideas all, the concept of utilizing skills from all the classes makes it even more interesting (read fun). The scavenger hunt angle, coupled with working together toward a common goal ought to make it a very popular feature. The only things I encountered over the years when doing chain quests/missions that was problematic for me was when taking me through different sectors/zones many times cause numerous toon deaths. Having to work as a group would possibly negate the problem of lowbies travelling through high level areas, the only other issue for me was that sometimes the chains were just so friggin long that I found myself throwing my hands in the air and sometimes just deleting the quest/mission. The carrot was not worth the length of the stick in other words...

Okay, I'm not stupid but I'll just say that after attempting to understand that link.....if you're happy Kyp, that makes me happy.

During the old days, I left EnB to BETA EVE. After I realized that EVE was like work only more tedious, I returned to EnB to find my guild had dissolved leaving nme the guild leader....I was horrified. Then came sunset. It sucked. I cannot put this mistake in a class by itself like the day I married the Goblin Queen but it was a mistake nonetheless. Patience seems to be something in short supply these days, we have so much instant gratification and I don't think it has done us any favors. I look at one of my grandkids and notice he (age 9) has the attention span of a gnat. I swear, if his mind had legs, they would look like Conan's biceps. The rebirth of E & B is a worthwhile effort, there are so many people who have poured so much into bringing this back for us, the faithful, it would seem a terrible shame to move off too far away and not at least check in from time to time. Even during times when I cannot log in my toons, I lurk the forums and if really desperate, I listen to the music. I stray a little at times but always come back. Real life intrudes at times, family issues, work...on and on. Be patient gang, a lot of good folks have put too much into this project to let them down by bailing now when it has come so far.

I too never once saw an ad here in the south. My son turned me on to the game. Back to the original question....2 things. My dislike for EA is their Juggernaut attitude. Absorbing Westwood like the Borg collective, shutting down EnB and the fact they made The Sims. ( Bleccch!) Ok, so that's 3 or 4. Hey, I'm an old guy and missed my siesta today
