  1. I see you set N7 in admin mode, but did you give e&b.exe (the client rather than the proxy) the same rights?
  2. I agree, any 'buying power' should only buy decorative stuff - like mentioned before, something like the eyeball popper which looks neat but doesn't hurt anything. On a side note, I really like the idea of a message bar/box with game related announcements. Think of it as a N7 newsbar! (imagine those scrolly bars at the bottom of TVs) This could be used to repeat news heard at N7 (Mines collapsing) or event news (Manes on the rampage in Aragoth!)
  3. Well, that answers that! -closed
  4. There is a group of Beta Testers whose job it is to report bugs and test items. There is an organization for them, and a bug reporting system. General players are not part of the Beta Tester team, so don't have access to the set up. We do want your bug reports (See Player Bug Reports on the forums) but at the same time you can't expect a walk through of the missions to simply see if you're on the right track. Beta Testers would be provided an idea of what is supposed to happen on a mission more so than a player. They would also typically work closer with the team lead or creator of the mission. There is also nothing stopping a player from creating a guide to a mission or missions themselves. The only caution I would add is that as things are still changing fairly frequently, the guide or walk through could be out of date fairly quickly. Also, as mentioned before (and to remain on the original topic) all forums need "censoring" to some extent. Offensive posts and inappropriate material (we have all age ranges playing and reading) need to be removed. Although I believe in a good discussion and healthy debate, it should also be recognized that some things can't be solved, some posts turn into flame wars, and some will (or would) drag on for a long period of time with nothing gained. I for one also care about the image of the forums, and if there were a thread going on for months, with lots of hurt feelings, bickering and so on, I (assuming I was a new visitor) would not be impressed, nor likely to be interested in spending time in a community apparently enjoying such a thread.
  5. Alright you two - settle down (but it looks like you already have ) I also like the idea of seeing other player ships... then you really could just sit and watch the ships dock.. Also, I imagine a battle being like this: Judo judo back flip threaten, judo pirouette, pirouette, back flip drunk
  6. Figures I somehow missed this thread last time I looked over the guild topics. I'll hide them for you, and if anyone has a similar request, feel free to PM me - duplicate posts, topics started and not needed etc.
  7. Closed - Fixed.
  8. I had trouble not getting e-mails when submitting a help ticket. Not in the inbox, spam box, trash etc. checking with the tool above - boom - blacklist.
  9. Closed previous issue and split off last post to new topic
  10. Currently Plasma and Chem do the same base damage, it is just spread out. So lets say you have an explosive missile that does 96dmg (total including level bonus etc). if you change that same missile out with a Chemical would do 16 dmg/tick for 6 ticks to the sheilds. When it got to the hull it would do 16+modifier(2-4, more if the mob is debuffed). If you started out with Plasma, that missile would do 16+(2-4 or more depending on debuffs). Once it got to the hull, it would only do 16/tick and no bonus. So, if you use your missiles correctly, you could get 12-24(or more if debuffed) more damage per launch. It would make more sense if it a larger portion of damage on impact, followed by the DOT effect, but at least currently that is not how it works. Good post, I'd move it to the knowledgebase if there were an appropriate spot for it.
  11. Hi guys, Today I had a tough time submitting a ticket, and finally had to do it out of the game. I checked, and think I narrowed down the problem. If you go to "get help" and select the "I have a tech support, billing...." tab you'll go to the ticket system and be fine. If you click on the "I want to report a bug" it will look the same, but you won't actually be able to submit a report. You can fill out the form and push submit all day long, and you won't get a confirmation. The page will just reset to a blank request. If you are trying to discourage players from reporting bugs this way, I would just suggest directing them to a page that says how to report a bug. Otherwise this sounds like a glitch. Dakynos

  16. That's strange, I've heard of complaints about lots of white space on other posts, and thought it was a signature problem. As I don't even have a signature set up, I doubt that would be it for me. Grendwal are you using IE8 or tried the steps Kyp recently suggested? Also Mimir noted that switching to Firefox corrected the problem, at least in that case.
  17. +1 Very detailed and thorough input on recent changes. I'm sure that will help further troubleshooting and development. I'll pull out my TT and keep an eye out for these things and add my observations if I see different.
  18. So, has anyone played with the adjustments Tienbau made? I plan to look into them if I can sometime today. Also, don't forget that with any dynamically changing game, sometimes tactics need to change. Just because one particular strategy worked in the past, does not mean it will be the best way to continue. Maybe a new strategy will take more effort. Maybe it will work better - what I'm sure we don't want is a player base that can't change or adapt. I know content devs are definitely thinking of ways to get you to think in different ways At the same time, don't take this as me saying you shouldn't ask or question, or take every weird thing you encounter as "the way it is now." All of you know there are bugs and strange things out there as we continue testing.

  20. Added - Thanks!
  21. This should be in the TT discussion area. -Moved
  22. Thanks for getting the word out. However, this should probably be in the "Game Economy" Section under the player knowledgebase. Thanks! -Moved

  24. added the commands pertaining to the IRC channel.
  25. I like this idea - What advantage does a TT have over a JE in running a trade run? Make a bit more money (by negotiate) and hold a bit more cargo. It would be good if we had the high level trade good restricted so you either had to be a trader, or be grouped with one. On a similar note, I think it would be neat if some (or all?) trade goods took distance (jumps) into account. For example, if you run a resource crate from Dahin to Swooping Eagle, it would be one price, but if you run it to Earth Station it would be higher. This is of course complicated by the fact that some resources are in several stations. It is also further complicated by different races and classes having access to different gates. Still, I think it would be neat to see distance for some goods taken into account. It would make sense that you would sell something at a higher price because you took more time/energy/ship wear and tear to get it there. Just a thought.
