  1. Sharz, Sharza, Shara are my main 3
  2. fair enough but yes i do agree it should be optional
  3. Maybe i'm missing the point, but i don't see what difference it makes? If you continue using the 84% item and get it mapped from it, and then rip down the 100% item, how is that any different to switching the items? There might be something i don't know that makes it different
  4. Just a thought...does this version of the game (once it goes live) have to be EXACTLY the same as the original? Surely not, and surely it already is VERY different. My point is, that whilst a limit on the number of jobs able to be held at any one time (5 instead of 12) would probably balance the XP gain (a good thing), i think that the time limit of 2 jobs per 5 minutes is absolute rubbish and should not be introduced. To me that sounds like a grind mechanism put in by EA to increase time spent playing (ie. more money, hi blizzard). That would mean you would have to stand at the terminal for 15 minutes just to get a full load, and that's assuming that no one else picks up the jobs you are waiting for. I would suggest that once the tools for job tweaking are in place, that a limit of 6 jobs but NO time limit would be more than fair and balanced
  5. Can't hack shut down engines and shields?
  6. Sigh, still too low for this I'd come just to watch/help
  7. This sounds awesome! Not to mention a lot of hard work... *sits down in the patience chair*
  8. This is a pretty cool idea I also like Merlin's last suggestion that Tien commented on, not FORCING people to start again but suggesting that we make a new character or two. I for one would gladly make a new character to see if i can find any bugs/exploits etc. Oh and Phorlaug, not trying to make your post any less meaningful, but aren't a lot of the Pros that you listed, things that can be done without a wipe? They seem like bug fixes that can be pushed to the player server at any time, that's all
  9. Seems like it, I've tried to use it previously to no avail... There are working character planners for each class at tun0.com/enb and it shows the skills for every class, I haven't looked if it shows hull info etc or not though
  10. I ended up just doing somer/fenris after TL5 or so, whilst the BBW gates are open, as you can see in my sig it worked well enough haha. (10-15 or so of my CL/EL are from Trade runs also)
  11. Nothing has changed at my end as far as i'm aware. Unless my girlfriend put something on my computer or my brother capped our internet But no, i don't think anything has changed. My internet is run through a server computer, but nothing has changed on it since i started playing either. Perhaps it's something to do with my ISP and its connection to the US? I'm from Australia so our internet is fail compared to yours
  12. Hi guys. I am having a lot of issues in game, and this only started in the last week or so. I will quite frequently get stuck while logging in (after selecting character), gating, docking, talking to vendors and accessing terminals. The main culprits are logging in and gating. I will arrive at a gate, click gate and the loading screen will pop up. However once on the loading page, there are no red circles or text saying where i'm going, it just has the loading... in the bottom right corner. The client will just sit there, loading indefinitely. I have to go into the task manager and end task, then reboot the launcher and start again. And then half the time after i choose my character, it just sits on the loading screen trying to log in (same issue basically). Last night was worse. I flew from FPO to the VG gate, clicked gate, froze on the loading screen. So i ended the task, rebooted and logged back in. My character was now in the middle of Nif cloud, getting shot at! So i decided to go the back way through Akeron's Gate. Once i got into Akeron's Gate, i flew south to the Saturn gate, clicked gate and got to the loading screen. On the loading screen, it had the red circles and the text just like normal. However, it took an abnormally long time to load. Once it did load, i was actually back at the Aragoth gate in Akeron's Gate, so i flew back to the saturn gate and tried to go through again (luckily this happened on such a small sector ) The same issue happened to me a few times in BBW, i would warp from the Aragoth gate to the Tau Ceti gate, go through but after a LONG load time, i would spawn back at the Aragoth gate. With vendors, sometimes the talk tree won't even pop up. I have to log out and back in, which usually solves it. Other times the talk tree will pop up, but clicking things won't work, i have to /endtalk or whatever that command is. With terminals, this has only happened once, on a job terminal. I opened it up, went into explore jobs and then it hung up. I couldn't click any other types of jobs, couldn't select jobs and couldn't close the terminal. Had to re-log to solve it. Another issue i have had, is when i'm running two clients at once. My second instance of the client will warp around but nothing actually registers, for example i flew from Net7 to the Beta Hydri gate, once i got there the gate icon would not light up, i had to re-log and then i could gate. It would also warp to a nav and just keep warping, as though it hadn't realised that i was there yet. And also, a lot of the time i was warping up to an undiscovered nav, and i had to sit at the nav for about 20seconds before it would register that i had found it. Another thing with the two clients, a few days ago i had my TT taking my TE around Inverness Planet quickly, to get the few navs there. For starters, nothing loaded on my TE's map, no navs and Inverness Down wasn't there. Then, when i got to each nav, i had to sit and wait for it to load everything nearby and register the nav. Because my TT was thrusting at around 1200, i assumed it was just because i was moving too fast for my TEs client to keep up, but i have since had all these other issues. Sorry for the incoherent post, i hope it half makes sense!
  13. Valid points guys, hadn't really thought about it like that
  14. I came back on to say pretty much that ^ lol... So the only way it could really be done is by changing the stack size (I'm assuming, please correct me if I'm wrong) Perhaps the stack sizes could be revised to something a little more sensible? Say 50, or 100? 240 is just insane, lol
