  1. Guilds large or small don’t affect my play style or interfere with my enjoyment of the game. Currently there is nothing in game that I am precluded from doing solo, so there has been no pressing need for me to join a guild (other than the missing companionship). Playing guild less for me has many advantages due to my haphazard play style. If I am on and have to log to do some errand or whatever I know I won’t be letting anyone down. When the changes to the progen missions go into full swing I may have to change my opinion and play style… as I have stated before join a guild if one will have me. What I can’t fully understand is what point you are trying to make? Are you saying that you don’t like large guilds so the devs should limit them in size? Or they should get rid of them altogether? This is a confusing thread.
  2. Apology accepted, and sorry for my over reaction. I have never had quotes in my posts edited before.
  3. I dont think pointing out that a site that was posted for an alternate information site was not functional was terribly hostile. I had no way of knowing that it was a .com and not a .org as was posted. But now the post was edited both in the original AND in my quote of that post does tend to make me look like a total ass or idiot. So yes if changing a quote in my post tends to piss me off a bit... you bet.
  4. Not going to happen, seems that a good suggestion and anything outside direct control is not allowed. This edit does NOT show up in a quote from me on Cdel's post
  5. Launch the launcher, type in 87.106.15.67 where you would see play.net-7.org
  6. With the original post edited and also mine...well I just look like as ass...thanks

  8. Ok, I sit corrected ...as usual Sorry
  9. I agree. With only 3 MLs (now 4) that was at least a possible leveler to the “New” (improved?) mob behavior. I wonder why it was placed into the play server in the first place. Were they placed in the db by the same dev blamed for the ore mini planets? If not shouldn’t they have been put into the test server and not play? I know…I know… we are in a testing situation but it seems that if they were placed on the “play” server and not JUST on the test server the devs should have removed them from the hulks/mob drops and left those that were in game in player's equipment. I also know that there has been posts on the removal of the unidentified AA devices but I don’t remember seeing anything about the identified ones.
  10. So that is what the missing device was........ Merry Christmas,,, Santa is taking back all the goodies this year.

  14. how about something like this? http://community.istaria.com/consigners/
  15. In live I played on a 56k modem. I think you are close (double) to or double that with the 3g. ^ Left this out on original post
  16. Ok here it is, I don’t remember anything in live that “Required” or forced grouping. I understand that this isn’t live but it seems very convenient that some arguments go “we can’t do this because it wasn’t that way in live” (ores – mobs- drops) but the same time we get the argument that “this isn’t live”. I wish one or the other point of view was decided on and stuck with throughout. I played live and I have no problem grouping when I want to group, and when other wants to group with me. But I also don't want to not miss out on content because some Dev thinks that the only time to advance is to play the game at a time when he or she thinks I should play. If it is going to be as it was in live FB, Controller, etc should be the only “forced” grouping. Others have expressed concerns with the whole forced grouping thing. It's your game do what you want. I will join a guild (if any will have me) so that when I need to advance a progen character (and conversely be there to help guild mate’s advance) I will be able to count on at least knowing when others will be there to help and be helped.
  17. Nothing... everything is great... it's just me... I look forward to being told how and who I need to group with, to play the game. Let me at it...
  18. And if it takes just not playing a progen to enjoy the game ... so be it. I already don't play my progens except for the occasional Call forward and to make ammo for my alts.
  19. I like missions, I enjoy doing them...I dislike being excluded because my play time does not coincide with the majority of other players needed to finish a mission.
  20. It is not bad unless it is REQUIRED to complete. With only 200+/- players on at any optimal time, the chances of completing a mission requiring specific races and specific skills is BAD. The time of day that I get to play (uninterrupted) is early mornings my time. And the max number of players on at this time has been 70 – 80. You do the math for how long it will be for me to find whatever combination of players I would need out of those 80 players to do the missions.
  21. I like it!! Sort of like a pawn shop. We “sell” stuff on commission, we get some % of the value up front, but when the item sells we get the rest (less pawn shop vig). If the item does not sell in a predetermined time, the Pawn shop will allow the original seller to buy this item back as above…or if not, that player looses any claim to the merchandise and the Pawn shop sells and keeps any profit.
  22. It looks to me that with just this little time this thread has been active there has been quite a lot of good information entered. Possibly get another set of independent developers together to put together this very important part of the game as it was? I'm sure many of the old timers would be more than happy to help put in details to get it back.
  23. Fish bowl raid according to Mimir: The parts needed were the rod reel and the bait. (See FishBowl.rtf ) The bait was the hardest to get as it was a drop only from the RD. The colorful parrot feather. When the above were acquired a FB was announced for x time on x day, usually they were scheduled US time late evening – 10 – 11 pm Central time. Players started to gather at the gate and start getting into teams. A separate raid channel was set up for communication between the raid groups. Guild comms, TS and Vent. Were also very valuable for individual teams The player who had the feather was the raid lead. Usually that player’s team or designee was the official looters. There was ninja looting but it was rare. There were waves of Fish, 4 as I remember each wave had many (can’t remember how many) Ten-gu. After each wave there was a delay for looting. Unique non trade loot found was announced on the raid channel and randomed. Then came the boss, with minions. As soon as the boss was dead the raid ended and minions left went poof (not sure on this part) Mega great loot in the boss. The ammo comps etc was looted by the raid lead team. Unique items were randomed at the corpse. The raid players would then meet at a station for the remainder of the loot to be divided and randomed off to the raid players. There was strategy to doing these raids, it took cooperation and communication between the teams. As I remember it there were sometimes 200+ players on a single raid, and it was laggy as hell but FUN.
