  1. I find that most people in the Big 3 are rather helpful. Even the Big 3 have called upon a little help when short handed, and have no issue with an outside member joining a raid with them. I've been on raids with people from Builders and VGE. They even share loot. If you have a toon that can handle raid content, you might even get invited yourself. As for my guild (Epic Gamers), we have been more than happy to have outsiders fill out groups for raiding when needed. We have gotten to the point where we can field 2-3 full groups at the right times, but as Getoffme stated, it has been a long time coming.
  2. Darkk, I don't think everyone wants to be insta 150 (yes, you said that not everyone is like that). I know for me, when I'm on a warrior class, leveling explore after lv 30 is just...boring. A few classes are just a bit screwed when it comes to explore xp after a certain level. You can only run so many tours, or dump so many satellites/garbage around the galaxy. After a while, I just want to kill every Earthcorps I can find and get drunk on looted Yumm-o-beer to kill the pain. Back in the day it was not too hard to group up with miners who wanted protection from mobs as they mined, but the server population simply doesn't support that kind of gaining explore xp to any level. Here are a few suggestions that you can agree with or just tell me are stupid, or not doable due to programming/client constraints...   1. Specific explore missions where one is asked to drop a beacon at a given coordinate. This beacon marker will then show up on the user's map and becomes another nav point for that pilot only. Place a limit on the number of beacons a pilot can drop in any given sector. A sense of accomplishment is seen here, since a pilot is gaining nav points for each sector.   2. Specific repeatable explore missions where a non-mining class is able to scan asteroids in order to help miners find specific ores. The miners could get that information and mine the ores for the non-mining class, trade the ores to that class, and allow the pilot to deliver those ores to complete the mission. XP would be given for each delivery. The ores will be used as part of a building operation for a structure that can be placed on a planet or in space. Once all the material is collected (a lot of material, could be 100,000 of six or seven ores), the mission arc is complete, and each pilot who contributed a set amount of ores can have their name inscribed on a plaque for all to read (a la Glory's Orbit) once the structure is built.   3. A way to combine explore and combat xp is to receive a mission that sends a pilot to a sector to eliminate hostile mobs. No actual nav point or location, other than sector, is given. A pilot would literally have to explore the area to find the hostile mobs. Once the mobs are eliminated, the pilot records the approximate location, relays that location back the the mission giver, and receives explore xp for actually exploring the area.   Just a few ideas. I didn't want to complain and not have an idea or three waiting in the wings.
  3. Login server down? I can't log in any toon.
  4.   Well, there sort of is a notification already if you read the mission logs. The whole blurb about making sure that there is room in your hold for "x" amount of mission tokens upon completion of the next hull upgrade is basically telling you that you are getting tokens in your hold, right?
  5. +1 on the issues with leveling explore. Why did they even change the xp given on explore jobs and instead give credits? Because it was that way in live? It was a waste in live and it is now. Who has a high level character that really needs the 6000 credits from high level explore jobs? All that xp/credit split did was make it even more painful to level explore xp.
  6. Destructive Interference Pulsator L9 Beam Unique (one per ship, sorry) Jenquai Only Structure: 100% (200%) Range: 2000 Reload: 4 seconds Damage: Special (10% of max hull of target per shot) Energy usage: 125 Buffs: None Special: Beam ignores any shields, as focused particles hit the hull of an enemy ship and cause destructive interference of the resonant frequency of atoms at the subatomic level, weakening the structural integrity of the ship's hull.
  7. Thanks. I can tell you that the lv 7 grav link stacks with the debuff from the Skirmish Omega shield (L9). It also stacks with Cassel's Wither (L7). I have heard that all three stack, but that doesn't seem to bear out in the damage I see in combat. If I debuff with the Skirmish then try to debuff again with the Wither, I get the message saying that a stronger debuff is already on the target. When I debuff with the Wither first, the Skirmish just seems to override the Wither buff. Perhaps I am seeing something wrong.
  8. Do PW's get the benefit of an impact debuff from grav link at lv 5 or lv 7? I keep hearing different answers on this. I rather not call forward my grav link skill to find out if I don't have to.
  9. Perhaps I'm not certain how this works, but I did the mission. I went through each step, and at the end, after turning in each stacked ammo type  I have no token and no reward. I talked at the end, the mission disappeared from my mission log, but I checked my builds and my hold and received zilch.
  10. I just completed this mission on my PW and got nothing...no ammo map, gold token gone, nothing?????
  11. Good info Knight. I was starting to stress over the thought of getting spit ammo samples for my PW.
  12. This wouldn't work for some buffs. Environmental Shield, for example, is somewhat level dependent. If someone in the group is too low a level for a particular level of E shield, they wouldn't get buffed. The overall idea is great, and I can say that from my experience in at least one other MMO I played for a long time, it was a real time saver. That game had many more buffs though.   Another possible way to look at doing this is with an area-wide buff, where everyone within a certain distance of the buffer gets buffed. This might not be hard to do, since the game already has AoE attack forms such as shield nova, shield sap and leech at lv 7.
  13. Don't even bother to kill the Chavez in Glenn. My shield nova was on for three minutes...yeah, I timed it. I finally shut down the client and went outside to work in the garden.
  14. As I do Agrippa, I have a tip for everyone. When gathering resources, get lots of extra ores and other mats needed and keep them in the vault. There will probably be a time when you will need them, and getting some of these mats is a bit of a PITA. Save some angst and just grab a lot of everything. I even made a new toon just to hold Agrippa stuff.
  15. Really...Agrippa is bad enough, but when majorly massive amounts of lag are also involved, it can drive a person to heavy drinking :(
  16. Not that this really matters, but if you've ever used real life flechette rounds you wouldn't be too impressed with the sound, but at close range, the damage is impressive, even devastating.
  17.   I think this ends the conversation for now. Since everything respawns anyway, I would think that the devs have more pressing matters to deal with than change something that actually works in game.
  18. Let me clarify. Yes, I see a very short clip when I click to leave (ship starts to turn to move, flash of light as my avatar disappears, etc), but then I sometimes get another short clip in 3rd person view of my ship exiting the station into space.
  19. I finished Cassel's Wither, but I found a lv 41 along with 2 lv 35's. IIRC it was at nav Muspelheim 3. Still, not hard for a CL 40 to handle. Now I can be a real Progen and use impact to pound my enemies into space dust.
  20. This is a bit odd, but I noticed a few times lately that when I click to leave a station, instead of going directly to the blue map screen I see a video of my ship exiting the station. Anyone know the reason for this?
  21. Thanks Prre. I spend too much time in Jenquai land.
  22. I've spoken to Theodoric Cassel and received a few missions from him, but nothing that seems to lead to getting the mission for this device. Any advice on how to get it started?
  23. Found him twice at nav 3 as well. No Tatsu's for me either after many kills.
  24.   Let me add that I am green to the NPC faction that attacked my mob. Don't know if that makes a difference. I'll take a few jobs at asteroid xg-72 in Swoop if I get on later since I see a single lv 35 Shimwa crusing the area at that location and see if it happens again. The only other times this ever happened to my personal experience was always with multiple NPC's in formation, not single NPC's.
