May be randomize each hulk timer plus or minus 25% of the timer value. i.e. Hulks 1-3 8h timer plus or minus 2h Hulks 4-6 16h timer plus or minus 4h Hulks 7-9 24h timers plus or minus 6h That way, if a miner clears the hulk field (which I've seen already happening) they can't just return a fixed amount of time later and farm the hulk field again.

    BB ammo samples

    Well no clues needed to know which developer just can't give it up. I'm looking forward to trouncing whatever dumb obstacles this mission puts in the way, getting the samples analyzed, getting the *bonus that wasn't asked for* Brimstone Ballista analyzed -- and parading it about in this thread afterward with how easy it all was. Although I do wonder how many times we're going to have to call in a GM to fix the mission because it's *broken*. I don't even use a Brimstone Ballista and probably still won't but I see what asking for things for the common good does. Too late to hope a different saner member of the development team will intervene and add samples to a vendor just like the others samples are available?

    BB ammo samples

    Are you taking the Mickey? All we want are AMMO SAMPLES added to a vendor. And your idea instead of that is to make a mission that seems can only be attempted once, requires a group of players to do it killing a chain of lvl 66 bosses and if we don't get the ammo samples analyzed successfully we're so out of luck because it can't be repeated? No, we didn't want a Brimstone Ballista to analyze.
  6. Top on my personal list would be sector mob search i.e. select a sector and search it and get a list of all the mobs in that sector shown with what they drop. I probably used this option the most on the older database site. Mob search was the 2nd most used option I used. Next most useful or 3rd: buff search. The other two I hardly ever used i.e. manufacture and NPC search, well manufacture almost never and NPC search on rare occasions.
  7. It seems better now. Item window is showing the item you wanted to look at instead of a random item that you had previously looked at. Also, the item window used to re-open itself and it no longer does this either. The item window used to scroll through all the items that you had looked at before and it no longer does this either. Thumbs up emoticon.

    BB ammo samples

    "Secondary flavour" .... "flavour mission". WTB Byakee-speak translator PST. I figure "flavour" means something like "additional race specific content". Anyway, skipping the mission rabble rabble rabble any news on BB ammo samples coming to a vendor until either DT arrives or ST4 ends? Or I am going to have to identify who can build the ammo and spam them to death with ammo requests until they go into hiding and cry for help even if I don't need ammo!
  9. FWIW what the OP describes also happens to me using Firefox 3.6.8. Search and find an item or items and click an item to open the item window. Close the item window and search for some other items and .... the item window pops up again showing the original item that was viewed. This can happen while typing in a new word to search for. Get a new list of results and click an item and the item window shows the original item. Then a moment later the item window changes to another item. If a lot of items have been clicked on, the item window scrolls through them all one by one. The item window has a mind of it's own. Close it and it re-opens itself. It shows whatever item it feels like showing you.
  10. Please can a vendor start selling ammo for Brimstone Ballista projectile weapon. A few players have this recipe from Byakhee's progen missions but the missions are being removed soon so there will no other way to acquire the ammo recipes unless a vendor sells them. Also it will reduce the stress on the few players that have the recipe as they probably don't want to spend time each week supplying BB ammo for everyone that needs it and they probably have better things they may want to be doing with their time instead. I don't think it will do any harm to add them to a vendor during the stress test. Easy enough to remove BB ammo from vendors again before live or if it becomes available during the stress test again if the sector and mobs that used to drop them are available again.
  11. It's not flawed logic Byakhee - this isn't live. Vendors in this stress test are already selling ammo samples that were drop-only in live. It's not breaking any rules to add BB ammo to these vendors now that missions don't offer them. It would take the stress off the players already with the BB ammo recipes who really don't want to spend hours each week making ammo for others who can't get the BB ammo recipe themselves. You know it makes logical sense, stop denying.
  12. Write it down and refer to it when required. This sekrit method has worked for Earth & Beyond players in the past so I have revealed it for you now. With this little effort you too might eventually become familiar enough to go to the right vendor without reference to what you've written down and without visual cues.
  13. There are plenty of exceptions where ammo that was mob-dropped only in live is being sold by a vendor in the emulator during the stress test just so that players can analyze them. Players have better things to do if they've gotten the ammo from your mission than stand around building stack after stack of ammo for a queue of players See common sense and add it as a vendor sold item along with the other ammo please. I guess those other ammo samples will be removed in the mythical live condition.
  14. Any chance BB ammo can be seeded in a vendor somewhere for players to analyze now that the missions are gone to get the ammo recipes? At least until ammo samples drop in the proper place? Or may be add it to a loot table somewhere perhaps the higher level combines in Moto?

  16. Please consider giving the respawn timer for the Celestial Warder on planet Arduinne a touch up. The timer at the moment is the same more or less as what it was in live i.e. between 2-3 days. A shorter timer would be more fun compared with the rush right after the server restarts. Two hours would be splendid.

  19. Play server is starting ... if it goes online I wonder if guns will fire 2 shots then stop.
  20. I used area repair quite a bit in live. In the emulator I haven't seen any reason to put points in the skill yet. Rarely seem the type of equipment damage that can be repaired by equipment repair. Just seen the stupidly ridiculous quality loss on items which far exceeded what occurred in live and can't be repaired.

    Moto

    Yes, only the two factions that operate in Moto are effected when you kill either side i.e. Progen Combine or Terran Alliance. I joined the Progen Combine and reached -4600 with the Terran Alliance and -1000 with the Progen Combine. And then I decided to switch sides ... I could easily make up a role play reason for switching sides however the reason was a simple matter of fact that the loot tables for the Terran Alliance up to and including level 56 sucked compared with loot dropped from the Progen Combine. Want great loot in Moto? Join the Terran Alliance and shoot Progen Combines. Both gates inside Moto eventually turned red. The Progen Combine station ... when you login it's named "Prison Colony Haven". Seemed appropriate granted that there was no way to exit the Moto sector. I kept shooting Progen Combine for 3-4 days until Terran Alliance reached -1999 and the gate that they control that exits into Aganju turned yellow. I didn't test going in and out of the gate for fear that while I might be able to exit Moto to Aganju I might still not be able to re-enter Moto. It was probably safe but I decided to carry on to -1499. I'm still in Moto improving Terran Alliance faction between -1999 to at least -1499. What struck me about Moto besides the crappy and unappealing loot dropped by the Terran Alliance was that there was no way to regain faction if you were outside the Moto sector. It may be a good idea to seed some faction mobs in the adjoining sectors. If you get locked out there is no way to fix it.

    It wasn't in live. None of the below were in live ... Paramis Ghost of Blackbeard Black Spitter or any of the other items GOBB drops. I hope both plasma and chemical can be added for the Black Spitter. And seeded in the Paramis station vendor and drop from GOB's minions too.

    Don't you think it inconsistent that the black ML comes with four different types of ammo but the projectile gun comes with just one ammo type i.e. impact. Would be great to have the option of perhaps not just only of plasma but chemical as well.
  24. Yes may be but it's not as concentrated or as available compared with live. On average I find between 3-5 rocks containing 9s in a field, more if two fields overlap one another. In live there were dozens of 9s in a field. For me, there are three problems with lvl 9s - the 30 minute spawn timer, the low density of 9s in a field and the scattering of types of 9s across different systems. I don't have issues with level 8 and below. It's just 9s that have to become easier.
