  1. This was for support following a catastrophic issue thanks to some ransomware and some outdated software. Tehre is a "Server Status" thread pinned at the top of general discussion. If there's outage/downtime, report there and we should get notified to do something with it and do so at earliest convenience.
  2. I was referring more to a 2nd instance. I gave a promise when we went live that there'd be no further wipes if we could possibly help it.
  3. Maybe one day if we had the time to do more balancing of the economy, as it is due to some past happenstances it got sorta wild.
  4. Thanks, sorry for the delay but my next offer was going to be what Karu offered. Usually something like that is because a config file is corrupt and it is trying to cast some missing information to match a data type. Effectively registry being broken and pointing to a bad place would cause the same thing. Did you have an error while updating recently or anything? (Launcher, not windows)
  5. Is there anywhere in the text that it mentions 'InnerException'?
  6. Should be able to just delete the respective file in most cases and then restart, the patcher should grab the "latest" if it's not that's possibly a bug. This should just be an exe included in the package you use to launch the game. But no, because of some past changes old versions of net7proxy will simply decline to function server-side and there's nothing you can do but replace the file.
  7. This has to do with older certificate authorization mechanisms. Modern OS require a bit more. So really this is on us for a cert going back. We're still trying to get everything back in place and fully automatic of course in terms of the day to day, as time permits of course. While you *can* do this to get in, we strongly recommend that you restore the setting as soon as possible, bad guys out on the internet could take advantage of this and get certificates on your machine that do Bad Things™ to you. *edit* Just to clarify what this is doing for those less technical, typically a certificate proves a target computer is who it says it is and why one is all but required with most sites these days (ever notice how most jump to https:// and give you a warning up front if they aren't?). What you do by unchecking this is tell your operating system not to bother reading the CRL (certificate revocation list) which is published by Microsoft and/or other vendors and basically lets your computer know that a particular certificate with a given thumbprint has been marked revoked or has expired rendering it invalid. Without this revocation check, someone could slip you a script to redirect your browser for example when you went to google and actually land at a fake google page where you wouldn't know the difference and could steal your credentials when you log in.
  8. Would seem to be, wasn't aware of it. I'll add it to my list of things to look at next chance I get.
  9. Just as a general rule, I think you can probably uncheck prototype reorder, and for most people that should be true. As Zack has said in at least one of these threads, the entire purpose of that is to battle fragmentation, most people shouldn't need it.
  10. Not every vendor supports these settings but they can cause some issues with gating for sure. That said, I cannot see a logical reason for the server being brought up on different hardware to be causing such an issue. Doesn't mean it's impossible but we'd have to do some serious digging to try to find out what might actually be going on.
  11. In order to see what might be happening a capture would have to be done to see if any network traffic is being actually being lost or potentially misrouted.
  12. Check and confirm if you have the 'delete .th6 files' option checked as that is the most frequent cause of getting stuck at this screen.
  13. Delete the net7proxy.exe and let the patcher re-create it from the patch source. The issue is that the old universal installer I created is... well... old and has those old/incompatible files. It needs an update, just no time for that presently.
  14. I would recommend you double check to see if 'delete .th6 files' is checked on the launcher. Those can cause weird behaviors with loading new sectors or leaving them and entering stations if they get corrupted, that's what that option is in the launcher. If you have it checked and it's still happening then we might have to go a bit deeper but hadn't heard this as a widescale kinda issue yet.
  15. Well we certainly haven't done much to change any such behaviors at a program level; it could be that some mob spawn placements performed in that period have larger signatures than expected, but shouldn't be really. Most of the folks that develop content have been doing it for a long time and are generally familiar with how to set it up, so if anything it'd be some kind of bug with the signature not working as expected but would expect other reports of such too.
  16. We will be rolling back the data and trying to correct this issue now that we've identified it. As I said we reserved the right for further outages and whatnot, I was wondering if we'd run into something with data that didn't show any symptoms during the imports.
  17. Certain you're on the right/expected accounts, yeah? @Zackman - couple more if you get the time Not loading into the game, or not appearing on the selection screen? To be clear. so the 4 toons from the 4 distinct accounts are missing? Thanks for filing the ticket.
  18. This has always been occasionally present but thanks for the report. Generally caused when certain client patch files aren't present or are somehow corrupted, thanks for the report. You can try reinstalling from scratch now that everything is fully functional
  19. It may not be up yet, we still need to kick all the tires on the portal yet which is why i've cautioned folks not to try transfers.
  20. In the topic, something wrong with the game now that it has been restored? Let us know, as politely as possible or be sure to open GMTickets however please understand that support may be limited or back logged for a little while as we go through any such issues.
  21. If they are then we are sorry, we did everything we could with rebuilding the databases from what we had. I'd just make sure by logging in at the net7 portal and see if they seem to be missing there as well (do not initiate character transfers or anything of that nature)
  22. We do reserve the right for continued outages as we fix other things as I'd indicated in an earlier post but it should be stable enough to play on barring one of those situations.
  23. Ok, the game is back up. Again, STAY AWAY from account/item/character transfers for now, or you may live to regret it.
