1.
one thing i don't see are the turn in locations for suits. i seem to remember that from merlins old post.
Turn in people for the suits are the 3 race leaders.
  2. I am not sure I understand this thread, nor the drugs that may or may not be involved with it. But I can't help but feel like it's a good idea and that I should support it.
  3.
here's my fan pictures.
Old and relevant picture is old and relevant.
  4.
While I do believe that foul language does not have a place in MMO gaming, atleast on public channels, I do find it curious that it should be brought up by a GM named after an offensive act.
If a type of spitting is considered an offensive act, I'd like to know when I moved to bizzaro world.
  5.
Perhaps we will some day get to the point where, like in China, we will auction off human organs...
......? *Hides the bloody cleaver and the severed Jenquai head behind his back.* Some day? you mean we haven't started yet?
what else i don't like in EMU? - too easy - buggy - lacking content all 3 are fixable.
Ironicly enough Byakhee is doing his best to address #1 and how he goes about it is why this thread is here. Personally I like the missions, it's what I spend alot of my time on the Emu working on. The other two issues are under constant effort by the entire staff.
  7.
Well thanks Heaps... ill look into that after i go to the attic and dig out all of my maps spreadsheets and drops sheets i had made in the short lived "live" version... i have tons i was an EnB nerd and if i had tons of time on my hands and could contribute tons id put in a application for joining the team... cheers and i may just take 6 months off work im so happy LOLZ!!!!
Just remember when you amass your data from Live we would love to see what you have. We have alot of information from Live, but to the best of my knowledge there is alot more we could have that we don't. Who knows. What you saved from Live may be information we need. Better to check and find out.
  8.
Ok mates im true to my word.. gimme a few to get home just departed for Ireland for 2 weeks or so and my cards are at the house.. all i have is the company issues... soon as i get back ill drop some cash to make this even ....
For the record I was joking, but of course we would all love whatever you wish to donate. In the gaming world, I would say this is one of the best donations possible you could even think of. (Maybe if some money would get me into the SW:TOR Beta, that might be a good expenditure of cash too, but I digress....hehe)
on another note.. what are the 3 hidden races or whatever you use the shipbuilder to get??? im a bit confused...
There are three races, Terran/Progen/Jenquai. And three base classes, Warrior/Trader/Explorer. Originally before the game even launched there was going to be 9 player race/class mixes. Terran Warrior, Terran Explorer, Terran Tradesman, and so on for 3 Progen classes, and so on for three Jenquai classes. This was cut and I am not 100% certain of the reasons personally. Someone here probably knows them, but not me. It was cut down to 6, not 9. The ones left out were the Terran Scout(Explorer), Progen Privateer(Tradesman), and Jenquai Seeker(Tradesman). To play as one of those removed classes go to www.net-7.org, go to the download section and get the character and starship creator.
and lastly anyone have a database link for ALL ingame equipment drops zones mobs bosses elites etc?
The best tool for this to find what drops what is by googling EnB Arsenal. That site, which I do not think will be up for much longer, is sorta kinda somewhat right. It hasn't been updated in a long time and this is always changing. The staff here at EnB Emu would rather we put together our own database and so they will not share with us the exact live info of what drops what. I believe a user named Bidoc wants to try to get a database together but currently it is in it's infancy.
  9.
is down for me too.
Yup, as best as I can tell it is down for everyone.
  10. Offline for me too, as well as the Net-7 Server Notifier. This handy little application may be of use to you.Use this link here to go to the thread you can get the Notifier at.
  11. I am not 100% certain because as of yet I am not doing much with Jenquai, but I think the Maeltroms are not in the game. If this quest is working you may just have to go to where the Maelstrom would be. It is far in the north east section of Swooping Eagle. Around or past the Typotl Maw nav. This map will be of assistance to you.
  12.
For god sakes ill pay the operating costs myself monthly to get this working !!!....

Woot got it I'm up n running ...
Hmmmmm. Now about that money....
  13.
Ha, true. How does GetCo write? I never had a reason to use anything GetCo, cep'n maybe some travelin' engines.
GETCo products just normally have 'GETCo: Continuing our 500 year tradition of sustainable development' in their description, plus describing what it does if it has extra effects. Example, Armadillo Plate Lv9 "GETCo: Continuing our 500 year tradition of sustainable development. When activated on a targeted group member this item gives an increase to target's EMP resistance. When equipped this item causes a small decrease to your chemical resistance, but gives an increase to your explosive and energy resistance. While the Sniper has "The Ballistic Sniper currently has "Ballistic Sniper, brought to you by GETCo. Allowing you a very good outlook over your enemies. Powerful Possibilities, Unlimited Opportunities, GETCo." Now while that would match the broadcasted ads, it doesn't match the description listed on other GETCo items. If you think the way it is is fine, I would be ok with that. It is a special item afterall. But if you want to bring it more in line with other GETCo items, I suppose only a small alteration is called for. "GETCo: Continuing our 500 year tradition of sustainable development. We now present to you the Ballistic Sniper Missile Launcher, the last word in long range and powerful weapons. Designed for use specifically by advanced Scouts(Or Explorers if you prefer) in Hyperia." might be a good middle ground?
  14. Actually I thought that is how it was working now. Like if you max Combat exp but get 100 combat exp 50 of it poofs, you get 25 Trade and 25 Explore exp.
  15.
L50 missions are for ammo
Thank you, I was not aware of that. I could have swore it was for a weapon. I must have misread.
  16. Architecti Telum's first mission to me was (and I am sorry that I forgot the name) an 8 step mission with alot of fetching. It ended with needing 100 Hades Blood. I am almost certain that she is the Weapon NPC for the Agrippa tech missions, and that she said she would give me a blueprint as a reward for the quest. But after finishing it all I got were 15k credits. I checked the manufacturing station but I could not find a new blueprint listed, in weapons or anywhere. I tried asking in the game if maybe I had gotten the wrong quest for what I thought I was after, but I just was getting confused further. I already tried to make a ticket out of this rather than posting it here but when I tried entering 'Miri' for the Avatar name on the Ticket Submission page it kept telling me to put in the correct one and would not let me submit a ticket. (As I side not I think the quest is "Progen @ 50-75 - Hey! Who turned out the..." but I forget the version. This was completed yesterday by my PP.)
  17.
My Thoughts exactly, except the gasme is older, so the reapers are from E&B
Well, the Bio Reaper mobs are from EnB. The story written here is from Seeker.
  18. Reminds me of a downright cuddly version of Reapers from Firefly.
So your arguement of the devs having a hard time providing the web service required is invalid.
I believe the 'hard time' was a hard time convincing others that it should be done. Not hard as in how hard it is to make the database.

I hadn't really intended to get into a discussion like this, my original intent was voicing my opinion on something Kyp said. I am sorry I incorrectly attributed that comment to you. You are right in that I have not read this thread completely before commenting and it does reflect poorly on me. I am sorry. However I do stand beside the rest of what I said. Many other MMO's you will find alot of information available (done by the players) and it does not (in my opinion) detract from the game. One can seek information on their own if discovery is something they like, or if they are after other things by playing the game they can use the player made databases to assist their specific goals. But information that in many MMO's that is not readily available are things like the locations of the most sought after drops(which could include Time of Death for mobs that respawn on long timers and/or have low drop rates). Neither of these things in my experience detracts from the over all fun or challenge of the game. Out of all the MMO's I have played I have yet to come across one that did not have many, many helpful people. But I will swear by my blood as a gamer that the EnB Emu community is -the most helpful- I have ever seen. I do believe this is partly due to the fact the population is so low that it is easy for alot of the more common players to know each other and help each other out partly due to necessity. But I do not think that will change if the Emu's population grows. The core base of the players will mostly be the same and I believe they will set the tone for the player base to come.
Bribing a player for information about an item..... Relying on the good will of others, call me a skeptic, but not a good idea..... Anytime a thing is not freely available, someone will hoard what they have found and seek some way to profit and parlay their possession of it into a power position. This may not be apparent with the game in it's current state, but if locations of items are not available to all, those with that information will not give it away freely.
You......you have played the Emu, right? I mean we are talking about the same game, right? I have never, ever encountered having to bribe a player for information in this game or any other. I have encountered people trading in game currency or favors for items/knowledge/assistance. But never bribery, that's way too strong. The 'good will' of others in the EnB Emu is more constant than death or taxes. In other games maybe, but if you do not trust the good will of people in this game I really have to wonder how much you have interacted with people. Try to get something built at F7 and they will bludgeon you with helpfulness and good will. Provided you are polite and have the components to build the item. And as far as "Anytime a thing is not freely available, someone will hoard what they have found and seek some way to profit and parlay their possession of it into a power position" I would have to say in general yes, but not in this community and not in many communities in many MMO's. I am almost positive for ever one story of a miserly a**hole in a MMO I can come up with 5 stories of charity, kindness, and assistance in a MMO. As far as information anyways. The only times I can think of information that is truly guarded and very hard to get is things like exactly when a boss died(one who is on a timer respawn window), the reason being some people killed it and are trying to get it's drop, and they want to control who knows when it will respawn so they have to face less competition. Also possibly (more specific to EnB) where the most profitable fields to mine are at. Ones most likely to contain highly coveted ores. Neither of these two things were ever part of the EnB Database, and only the mining field info would ever really be something that could even be on a site. Time of Death for boss mobs is just one of those things you either know cause you were there, heard it from someone who was, or you don't. There is nothing stopping you from camping that mob to find out Time of Death on your own though.
I never intended to imply you're with me or against me. In fact, you are doing that, not I. I am asking for more diverse style of play while you are limiting it to one of your choosing. You'll dash my style to support their's. Again, making the info available doesn't require anyone to use it. It appears to me, you're pushing for a cut throat environment, perhaps inspired by Eve. I do hope not. This is a fun game, Eve is not. This is a friendly game, Eve is not. This is the game I have chosen to play for now, Eve is not.
Cut throat how? As far as I can tell the move is a move towards helping the Community to rely on eachother.
Nothing is stopping players from collecting and displaying the information, we won't say a word. This is in effect what wowhead is, a player collection. I'd be more than happy to see one. We just won't provide it FOR you as that DOES cheapen the game if we hand it to you on a platter. If you all find it by consensus, then it does not. That's the main difference here.
I understand that Wowhead is player made, I said as much. And I am not asking that you guys provide us with a database, I said that too. My point was to address what you said.
We do not wish to make the game impossibly easy by providing a means of getting all information in one spot, that's why we had Slayerman hide the drops on the db because previously it showed the mob it dropped from, the relative percentage, AND the sector. This makes it a pinpoint, ho-hum kind of thing, whereas asking other players might net several possibilities.
I just wanted to chip in with saying I disagree that the availability of information makes it easier. It was my understanding you were saying that all of the information being available would make the game impossibly easy and ho-hum. I was just saying that there are many games that have been around for years that have been picked apart and put together by the fanbase down to the smallest variables and they are still great fun. And again I am not saying it should be the Staff that provides this information, it should and must be the players that figure this out. Also I am sorry if this is distracting you from getting real work done. Forums are an evil thing, but necessary, hehe.

    Loot Table

I have tried to avoid posting here because it feels like this thread is about three inches away from becoming uncivil and locked. However I have to point out there -are- MMO's that have websites devoted to explaining every little detail of things in a game such as exactly what mobs are where, what level they are, what they drop. I never really played WoW but I do remember the name of one site, Wowhead. But my main MMO I played for 6 years, Final Fantasy 11, had FFXIclopedia as what I considered to be the best source of info. These sites in no way make the game "ho-hum" or "impossibly easy". Just because you know where something drops doesn't immediately invalidate the entire rest if the game. And yes, I know those sites are player run, not ran by the MMO themselves nor is it linked to the game's database. But they do display where things drop. But to clarify things here before there are misunderstandings I am not asking the EnB Staff to change the database back so it showed where things drop. Right now I am very pleasantly surprised they are running the database at all, and am thankful. My only point for posting was to say I disagree that making the information readily available of where to find things cheapens the game at all. And, to Bidoc, you can look up the info on EnB Arsenal and/or ask people in the game where things drop. I guarantee if no one in General or Market knows it is either a cold day in hell or the item is not in the game yet.

A small comment if I may. "All but the most rare drops" can still be found at the EnB Arsenal, and some of the rare ones too. The only problem is more and more of that database is innacurate since that is not our database. However I would say on greater than 50% of it is accurate, and the rest is sorta accurate. For example I was hunting CL 23 Chavez and they were dropping some stuff that the other Chavez in the area should've been dropping according to the Arsenal. So it wasn't dropping from the same mob it should have, but it was close enough that it could be found by someone who used that site as a guide of where to go for the item. I have no comment about the rest of your post. I do not know why certain things are done at EnB Emu so I will not pretend that I do. I am sure they welcome suggestions, though I can't help but think they have heard these before and might have reasons for not following them.
