  1. Give mobs 15 speed per CL... im telling ya... that way at cl 35 or so its already impossible to kite them in reverse, and starting at CL60 it would be nigh impossible for anything but a NoS equipped player to outrun going forward (and completely impossible for CL66)

  3. Yeah I as asking Algeron actually. I dont see how JD is broken at all. I mean sure theres some bugs and so on, but JD is so effective by itself I cant believe someone is claiming its killing the fun factor. o.o

[/quote] That sounds virtually identical to the SWG smuggler missions actually. Youd choose either PvP or PvE, and then bounty hunter NPCs (or players) would try to intercept you before you could make your delivery. If you chose PvP, it forced you onto the bounty hunter terminals (BH PvP missions) for 10 minutes or so, you couldnt deliver right away. You got double pistol modules (a form of damage increase buff) if you went the PvP route. Incentive based risk/reward. So, in that vein, make the PvE trade runs get ya attacked by factional NPCs/MOBS, but the PvP one flag you attackable to ... any pvp enabled player, and you get double the xp if no one kills you. (random delivery locations and so on so it couldnt be camped.. and make a timer where you have to be decloaked somewhere as a jenny so you couldnt just groupstealth it for mega xp every time)

Honestly where is this "the jd's whole skillset is broken" coming from? Ninjette does just fine killing pretty much anything she targets. Heck she even killed Nesshix the Hand the other day without getting hit a single time while a couple other JDs were killing the Minions. Seriously, JD is not broken (at least in no way negative or detrimental to the profession). I can see some skills needing some tweaking for specific playstyles, but believe me, its effective as it is. Too effective, as I have said before.
  6. Id you really read what he said Alessan, the new content is about to get pushed out to live for beta testing. They hope to have it "done" by the 23rd. This sounds to me like a bunch of stuff is gonna be out there new to do. Besides, they can always add more as beta goes on. Remember we havent had a content push in over 3 months, we are due. I cant imagine they sat on their hands for those 3 months either. I forsee some serious business coming down the pipe by the end of the month.
  7. It would really be nice if there was a way for those of us that HU135 before we even knew about Agrippa to be able to somehow do the stage 1 questlines. I dont mind the concept of it being very difficult to go back and do, but the notion of completely wiping a maxed gear and level toon just to be able to pick up a questline seems a bit screwed up to me. Example being, I came back to game about 6 months ago, on my 150PW, and found out about the flech omega. Awesome, had one made... decided I needed to learn to make my own ammo, got the invite to do stage 2, can make the beta and ammo, but my main toon will never be able to do stage 3 because I didnt even know this stuff existed a year or two ago when I was leveling up. Like I said, make it hard as hell if you want, but there really needs to be a way for established old toons, especially mains made before agrippa was even in the system, to go back and do missions from the HU50 and 75 eras. It would make no sense to wipe Ryle out to get the build for flech omega, and lose everything else hes mapped and completed and have to do all of that over again. I heard there was something snarky said like "if you want to do stage 1, reroll your toon" nothx, thats giving up a heck of a lot for a stage 1 mission from 2 years ago. Like I said, make it as convoluted and intensive as youd like, but having at least the chance to do it would be pretty dang nice. Especially for those of us like myself that didnt even know it existed at the time.
  8. Hey Kyp honest question. Why does the project development need to be kept secret? Wouldnt it make more sense to reveal whats being worked on so bugs and suggestions can be addressed as its developed? Might save time, honestly. I get that its probably to keep us intrigued to a point, and maybe to simply being bothered and so on by "this that and do that" but i dunno, larger community input at the time of development itself actively could speed the process. i mean we all just wanna get to gold, right?
  9. Well phorlaug that is a darn shame, it really is. Id have thought that perhaps such an argument would lead to "lets settle this in the arena" and the boys tumble out back, one gets his butt whooped and then we go for beers after. PvP requires profession balance even moreso than PvE does. While the thread you mentioned really had nothing to do with this one, the community backlash over a call to balance something, is just part of reality of making it fair. Pvp enthusiasts like myself, and I am sure many of you guys, are power gamers. Min/max specialists getting the best stuff and using the best tactical advantage. We go for the best class and combo to get the best result. Power gamers will play the flavor of the month (whichever the best is between patches) and move on to the next big thing the next patch as skills are nerfed, equipment is added, things change. It happens in every single PvP game out there, especially with griefers/trolls. They always play the overpowered alpha profession so they can feel like badasses and mock the others. I was surprised it got that heated, given I figured people would put balance and fairness before personal victory, but thats just how it rolls. I still have faith in this community to pursue a fun and engaging PvP environment if people will put the measuring sticks away. Just to crossover, how fun would PvP be for anything but a JD, if the JD was pretty much unkillable by any other profession regardless of skill level? Would lead to some pretty boring PvP tbh, and a potential griefer/epeener nightmare. (lets all plays jds and prey on the other 8 professions til everyone else ragequits out of frustration. then what do we do? kill each other as JDs? whos gonna decloak first?) Right now, if you put PvP in this game as it is, at this very moment, the JD would fit the title of PvP alpha class very very well. I dont care how good a player is at any other profession, if a competent player took a jd versus them the defender would win every single fight. And what has history told us about what alpha classes do to PvP? Everyone rolls the alpha class and PvP dies. (Death Knights in WoW, Spies and Dark Jedi (post NGE) and Jedi in general Pre-CU in SWG, Peacebringers in City of Heroes, etc... had pvp communities in an uproar because you could play the profession and wax anything but your own profession if that, with ease. i wouldnt want to see that happen here)

  14. I have seen this as well and discussed it with someone in game. I feel this makes very little sense. Shutting off an ability causing complete helplessness for 20-30 seconds (unless you have a equip engineering buff) is pretty much asking for instant death in many cases. Then again a lot of the TS skills have conflicts. Like activating afterburn in a group and no one in the group can use skills til its shut off, etc. I think the whole TS skillset needs a look at, into how they are applied, and fix them so they dont affect others or have serious and likely unintended consequences for their use.
