  1. Zachman pointed out that there is a kill count displayed, I just have to turn on System message to see it. Also, the kill count reset if the toon with the mission is logged out.  Docking would not affect the kill count.
  2. in my play, I always have the TS with max afterburner as lead.  Saves my skin several times, as I have opted not to have high level engines (lv5 max).  It appears that the speed of the leader has more influence on combat speed than other members.  Say, I have a group of 4 TT/TE and a TS.  The group has higher combat speed when the TS is group leader and the TS's Afterburner skill is engaged, compared to when the TS is not.   When a high level mob spawns on top of the group, the maxed afterburner skill saves a lot of XP debt for me.
  3. I am in the step 1/5 where I was suggested to kill 12 Vindis Warriors.  I have killed may be 20 of them (Level 48 Vindis Warriors) to no avail, and the mission does not advance.  Of course I killed the Warriors in a group where I believe I do the most damage, but I have not seen the counter goes up like in other missions.   What did I do wrong?   [EDIT] Talk to guildmates, and they said they did the missions 2 weeks ago.  May be because as Terran, I ran out of ammos and had to dock, so the counter reset to zero each time.   If so, the devs ought to look into this issue, because to take 12 lv48 mobs, a Terran will have problem doing it without re-supplying.
  4. So no solution for the daily Megan hour for those of us on the left coast?  The irony is that we are the only ones that would play at that time, given that 9-10PM is prime time in the West Coast, while most East Coasters have gone to bed cuz that's past midnight for them.   Would moving the server to the West Coast fix the problem?
  5.   If this is a good outline of Agrippa, can someone annotate it with Agrippa Stage level (hopefully with mission name)?  I have all 3 Progen toons in various stages of Agrippa, and I have no idea what how to progress without screwing up.  My PP is now at level 98, and I don't want to miss a Stage 1 when I do the HU100.   Currently: PP: lv 98, build lv7 shield &Reactor, have done the ammo run, the shield and reactor qualification.  I have also completed the Software mission and can build the laminate mesh.   Currently 2 Agrippa missions: PP1: The end in sight: Need an Amplector Shield from a PS.  Stuck here PP2: Need a PW to test the shield: I know how to do this , cuz I have already done with my PS.  In retrospect, I should just ask the PS to give me the shield.   PS: lv81, build lv5 (Shield and Device) Have completed the Skirmish Shield test and the device qualification test (Restore Quinque).  The device Architecti now says I need build lv7 device to proceed PS1: The end in sight, same as PP1 PS2: Energizer" I need to go down the Path Of Fire with the list of components in haul.   I can do this, but need $$$   PW lv88, build Weapon lv5 Have done the ammo test. Have done testing the Skirmish SHield for the PS CUrrently: PW1: Battlefield Preparation.  I need to obtain a Calathius Omega Beam from a Privateer   So my PW is waiting for my PP, my PP is waiting for my PW, and my PS need $$ and job runs to advance?   SO my question: Is the PS's Energizer mission is the one that allows me to proceed?   [EDIT] I am aware of the Gold Token that can be purchased, but that is out of the question for me.  I don't know how people can make 50 millions, because I always struggle to make 1million to buy the parts for Agrippa missions (like building 5 Rifle).
  6. I'd say check the MTU and the Firewall on your router.  If changing the router causes problem, the first thing I would do if I were you is to look at the router. Also, to get around the already-online problem,  you can create a new toon, and use it to talk to a GM and ask him to reset the other stuck toons.
  7. There is only 1 mouse!!! so unless one use a __very__ smart macro, I don't see any advantage.    Also the amount of jobs that you can take are like 2-3 per 5 min refresh/new jobs (just pick numbers out of a hat), so any one that box will have to wait as many time as a non-boxer times the amount of alts (Say you wait at the terminal 5 mins to get all 6 jobs, a boxer with 3 alts would have to wait for 3x5=15 mins!!!!!
  8. Make sure you run the Net7Proxy and __NOT__ the E&B client?
  9. I mean this: you were fighting, then all of a sudden a high level mob spawn on top of you.  If one of the group member has his reactor drained (due to fighting), group free-warp does not work.  The leader have to kick him out in order for the group to warp.
  10. May be I am wrong, but I always thought that "Progen Combine" means Rogue Progens?   May be the Devs need to add. to the faction table, a legend explaining what mobs/group consists of Progen Combine, The Alliance etc....
  11.   I can't support the claim that   "And back then you were stopping whole group if one of member's reactor drained, not now."    In EMU, I fight in a group all the time, and I just cannot warp if one member of the group has his reactor drained.  I usually have to kick him out and warp in order to save the group.
  12. You taking thing too seriously pal.  I just want to make a joke about Zachman's note that giving feedbacks to improve the game make the reporter lose popularity due to the nerf bat.
  13. Is it just me, or yesterday's patch also caused Rally to have a shorter duration and drain more energy?   May be SiSL (and the guy complaining about the beam range) should heed Zackman's advice of stop reporting these "anomalies" because the nerf bat will strike again!!!!
  14. We may need a new ISP/ASP if oneandone cannot solve the nightly 12-1AM gatehang problem?  :)   Move it Westward please!!! (I can hear the Eastcoasters screaming murder already!!!! :D
  15. So how well do we make our case heard at oneandone?  I guess all we need to know is whether this problem is solvable by the ISP, or whether there is a workaround for it (besides playing other games between 9-10PM PST every night :) )
  16. I just don't put points into Hacks nor BioRegression any more.  They failed some 90% of the time against mobs at same level, let alone higher level mobs, and do not work when we need them!  Unless the 2 skills are fixed to account for the SP sink they require, they are not worth it.
  17. @Bloody Riz   Actually, the ball is on oneandone's court, as sunrise.net-7's ISP provider.  They can always route traffic around the Kansas node during the vulnerable timeframe.
  18. @Dragonrose   I multibox a lot, and have had no problem, unless it is in the vulnerable window timeframe (9-10PM PST, during which timeframe, I shutdown EnB and play other games because playing a single toon have the same problem of gating). I use sandboxie.  Since multiboxing is not officially supported, we can take this offline, so you can PM me, and I can help you out with the technical details offline.
  19. Here are my logs: I used a 1250 ping size packet to simulate server traffic on gating. 6:00 PM PST Host % Sent Recv Best Avrg Wrst Last PandoraBox 0 1018 1018 1 1 2 2 cpe-142-11-88-1.socal.rr.com 0 1016 1016 13 32 257 28 tge7-3.fnvyca18-cer02.socal.rr.com 0 1018 1018 11 16 111 14 tge0-8-0-9.grgvcabt-ccr02.socal.rr.com 0 1017 1017 13 22 147 19 agg23.tustcaft-ccr01.socal.rr.com 0 1017 1017 13 22 65 16 107.14.19.30 0 1017 1017 13 22 176 21 ae-1-0.pr0.lax00.tbone.rr.com 1 1005 1002 15 22 146 20 66.109.9.206 0 1016 1016 15 30 724 16 64.209.105.234 0 1020 1020 81 86 206 85 ae-10.bb-c.slr.lxa.us.oneandone.net 0 1020 1020 82 87 231 85 ae-11.gw-distp-a.slr.lxa.oneandone.net 0 1020 1020 81 92 305 83 ae-1.gw-prtr-r4-1a.slr.lxa.oneandone.net 1 1016 1015 81 89 528 83 u15438806.onlinehome-server.com 0 1020 1020 82 88 205 84 9:15 PST Host % Sent Recv Best Avrg Wrst Last PandoraBox 0 1113 1113 1 1 2 2 cpe-142-11-88-1.socal.rr.com 0 1112 1112 13 36 634 46 tge7-3.fnvyca18-cer02.socal.rr.com 0 1113 1113 11 17 64 19 tge0-8-0-9.grgvcabt-ccr02.socal.rr.com 0 1113 1113 13 23 64 19 agg23.tustcaft-ccr01.socal.rr.com 0 1113 1113 13 23 133 15 107.14.19.30 0 1113 1113 14 23 70 19 ae-1-0.pr0.lax00.tbone.rr.com 0 1111 1111 14 23 91 18 66.109.9.206 0 1112 1112 15 35 639 47 64.209.105.234 0 1116 1116 80 87 137 87 ae-10.bb-c.slr.lxa.us.oneandone.net 0 1116 1116 81 88 140 98 ae-11.gw-distp-a.slr.lxa.oneandone.net 0 1116 1116 81 93 287 132 ae-1.gw-prtr-r4-1a.slr.lxa.oneandone.net 1 1101 1097 81 92 499 85 u15438806.onlinehome-server.com 1 1081 1072 84 93 180 89 At 11:15PM PST got hit by lagfest (and 4K XP debt on the TS :-) ): |------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | WinMTR statistics | | Host - % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last | |------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------| | PandoraBox - 0 | 107 | 107 | 1 | 3 | 6 | 3 | | cpe-142-11-88-1.socal.rr.com - 0 | 107 | 107 | 23 | 34 | 69 | 27 | | tge7-3.fnvyca18-cer02.socal.rr.com - 0 | 107 | 107 | 10 | 20 | 61 | 14 | | tge0-8-0-9.grgvcabt-ccr02.socal.rr.com - 0 | 107 | 107 | 15 | 24 | 52 | 15 | | agg23.tustcaft-ccr01.socal.rr.com - 0 | 107 | 107 | 15 | 25 | 56 | 16 | | 107.14.19.30 - 0 | 107 | 107 | 14 | 23 | 52 | 21 | | ae-1-0.pr0.lax00.tbone.rr.com - 0 | 107 | 107 | 16 | 23 | 48 | 20 | | 66.109.9.206 - 0 | 107 | 107 | 17 | 28 | 177 | 19 | | 64.209.105.234 - 32 | 48 | 33 | 0 | 131 | 156 | 128 | | ae-10.bb-c.slr.lxa.us.oneandone.net - 24 | 56 | 43 | 126 | 132 | 177 | 133 | | ae-11.gw-distp-a.slr.lxa.oneandone.net - 48 | 38 | 20 | 0 | 133 | 172 | 128 | |ae-1.gw-prtr-r4-1a.slr.lxa.oneandone.net - 43 | 40 | 23 | 0 | 133 | 173 | 135 | | u15438806.onlinehome-server.com - 37 | 44 | 28 | 126 | 133 | 177 | 129 | |________________________________________________|______|______|______|______|______|______| WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider
  20.   Alright. I see.  So a new net7proxy is forked off every time we gate, requiring a new UDP port, and packets with that port may be dropped by intermediate routers.  Yikes!!!!
  21. @Zach,   I stand corrected, as I am not familiar with either Live or Emu codes. However, the point I made still stand: Since people and me included experience random Hang in Blue Galactic map while gating, even outside the bad window (12:00-1:00AM EST), the obvious fix is to implement a retry mechanism in Net7Proxy, and here is why:   When I gate 4 toons on 2 comps in that 12-1AM window, 3 would get through fine, one would be hung in the Blue Galactic map.  That means that the network is chucking along fine, albeit with dropped packets.  A retry mechanism with sequenced numbers between the proxy and the Emu server should fix it.
  22. My 2c:   I have Galactic Map Hangs even during the normal hours outside of the 9PM-10PM PST window, albeit less frequently.  I live in LA California area, and have Time Warner Cable as the ISP.   I believe we can fix all of this by implementing a retry mechanism to handle lost/dropped packets in the Net7Proxy and in the server side.  In Live, the client did not have to do retries because they were using TCP.  Since the EMU server switch to using UDP, a retry mechanism implemented in Net7Proxy is a must to address the issue of dropped packets.
  23. IMHO, any changes to the E&B client is tough to make, simply because the Emu devs have no access to the Live E&B source codes.
  24. I agree with Matt.  I don't want the build to pick up the 200% comp if a vendor comp can yield the same result, or the other way around, I want it to use the 200% comp in order to get 200% product, but the term picks up the wrong comp, and yield inferior product.  My customers would not be pleased (What happened to my 200% I just traded to you for the build, you cheater!!!!)
