1. I only click the agree button because the 'don't agree' button will not get me into the game...
2. How about more channels, Id like these: Political discussion channel. To debate whether Obama is truly an American (I believe he was born in Kenia). An uncensored chat channel where anything goes, no rules. See this channel like you would a pub - it is not meant for children and helps relief stress for some people so they don't unload it elsewhere. And it can be a whole lot of fun for those that like this. And if you don't like this sort of thing, then don't turn on the channel. And change the new players channel to player help channel to make it's purpose clearer.
3. The content Herr Director is back!!! Finally, the TS, JT and PP will be fixed. You give those responsible a telling plz, esp that Terran dev boyo hes as stubborn as a wall...
4. ENB was not addictive. The imaginary love triangle my character had with Dewinter and Proconsul Kerr was...
5.
I don't understand the question or what you are asking for. We already have a live server, are you saying we should write another one? ... Not following ... Due to game balancing and so on a single further wipe is inevitable. Limited release of less content? That doesn't sound very appealing. Maybe you are on to something but you need to explain what you're talking, why this would be a good idea, and the reasoning behind it, and also come up with the extra manpower it would take to implement. It's not part of any plan we have, so the additional work would need to be undertaken by some other, magical people.
Sry if I wasn't clear enough. My suggestion has nothing to do with a database dump, or making the lives of devs harder. Releasing a server with limited content but no more player wipes would mean the enb emulator is live for all intents and purposes. Call me selfish for partly suggesting this for personal reasons but I don't play on the current server anymore because of the inevitable playerwipes. It makes investing time into leveling seem wasted. Since on the current path of development it will take a few more years till the emulator can be launched - that means the final playerwipe would erase several years of progress. With the above in mind you can realize that only once player wipes are over will I play, and with me I'm certain quite a lot of other people (think of all the people who played the emulator for a while but then stopped). I'd be more than happy to be stuck at L50 for a while and a new sector being released each month and slowly leveling up as higher level content becomes available. Also, I love the anticipation of updates, doesn't anyone else? Dev guys, would it not relieve you of pressure by slowly releasing enb bit by bit instead of everything of live at once PLUS the 3 new professions fully balanced, sectored, skilled and itemed out? The westwood devs did not even do this. Would devs not be able to focus their efforts better like this?
6. It is going to be years before the emulator goes live with the 3 extra professions and all the new sectors and content... Has a limited release been considered instead? Something like: * A level cap of for example L50 - L70 * Limited access to sectors containing content for those levels * It would still be a beta testing kind of scenario. But the testing is done on low level content. So someone can become filthy rich here but later on it would not neccesarily mean much as a L150 player has an income that is several magnitudes higher. Basically it would not mean a great deal if mistakes are made with low level content. Some upsides: * The Emulator would be live, so no more player wipes. * You would be making use of the very cool yet often skipped low level content. * Less initial content, easier to manage for the dev team. * This method would be expanded upon by slowly raising the level cap and adding content, instead of waiting several years for the full deal. Updating the game with level specific content each time seems more structured than everything at once. * Currently the sunrise server has 200 people at it's peak, they would be better to populate a limited number of sectors than the 100 or so sectors they do now. With regards to crowding, this would be a way to test a decently populated server instead of the thinly populated one now. Has something of this nature been considered? Or are there reasons other than content that it is going to take a while yet?
7. Your question about endgame content is not stupid at all. It is actually one day going to be the single most important one I think. Because who likes leveling their character to 150 in order to do raids so you get better equipment to do exactly what...become better at those same raids? I say this because during live the endgame content was raids, raids and more raids. The live devs just made a new overpowered uber weapon each update to keep people happy. The endgame of EnB was meant to revolve around PvP but given that PvP is combat...that would not please everyone. I hope these devs can cook up something better because I would hate to waste time and be forced into an IRL life because the emulator bored me...
8. It was not giving any popup message, the buttons to post reply just said I can't post a reply. This was on the whole adv forum. But it's fixed now so TY to whoever did that
9. The ingame interface cannot be changed without a lot of fuss...ok. But what about an external interface that shows info you can't get ingame? It could show durations of buffs/debuffs on you and your group. Same for buffs/debuffs that have been applied to mobs. Reactor juice of your team could be shown. Also the corpses your group have created and the remaining timer durations. There's probably a whole lot more useful info that would be cool to see. It would add info that contemporary games have as a standard. Tons of options to show/hide which info it displays would also be great. But it's not christmas yet is it?
10. It makes sense that a station charges you. Also nice that it adds another money sink. And another point...hull patch will become much more valuable.
11. Can't post on advocate forum. A couple of days ago it was working fine but now it's [s]been sabotaged[/s] borked again, the second time in 3 months.
12. The adds are too small to be annoying, also the subjects are not annoying at all. Maybe if you added Peter North's maximum pills to the adds then at least half the people here would have to become a donator. Okay initiative anyway, though a better fundraiser would involve the threatening to let Byakhee do more than just progen missions.
13. We are all having dreams about inferface changes but apparently only KOREAN hackers can do that - something the dev team is short on.
14. I still prefer a Delorean that can time-travel
15. A secret meeting of the Emulator staff was held. They have to sacrifice a lamb, or in your case an innocent soul, every 4 days. Otherwise the EA Gods will not be pleased.
16. Thats a low number of players online. I'm guessing a lot of ppl don't play the stress test anymore as they have overdone it and quit. Playing the stresstest can harm your later gaming experience when the emulator goes live in Q3 of 2013.
17. I'm jelly about those t-shirts - they are so cool.
18. 100-200 toons populate the stress test server. But those are alt toons of people who multi-box with multi-boxed characters. So there are just 4 or 5 people who run all these toons.
19. To join the beta team you need to be friends with the beta leader. He only lets his friends join so I guess you are out of luck...
20. PS: that thing will not auto-rotate like a heli, but will drop like a brick instead because the rotor area is too small.
21. The only NPC's you need to remember are at F7 (5,6 & 7) and Joves (1,2,3,4,8 & 9).
22. My friend at EA says they are waiting till the emulator is ready before shutting it down... They are going to send SWATs into Kyp's basement where he hides during daytime. He is then arrested and offered a deal to be let free if he works for EA, something Kyp cannot refuse. But in secret this is what Kyp has been fantasizing about all along. He outsmarts EA and all of us...
23. Not just scan blind, but other environmental effects would be nice to make things more interesting. In due time ofcourse... Would not want the emulator to go far past the 2013 readiness date.
24.
No, you're right, if they cuss its their fault, I imagine they'll use ignore on you to solve the problem. However, it is abuse to just report people who aren't guilty, which is what it looked like you were saying, seeing as it is what you said.
Didn't really say that but like Heirku said - people like to swear so there is plenty of ban potential and I will be filling out forms all day, for my pleasure. Like during live, I got a few people's names changed by reporting them because they contained 'the' and 'of' type of words - all were L135+ and ended up with silly random names chosen by a GM Funny thing an ingame so-called friend once told me that some ****** reported his guildie's name and it got changed. Did a silent evil laughter that moment
*checks himself* I am not a river, and I have no pee around me, therefore I do not give the slightest damn.
Symbolism? Oh wait, you're too mad to realize that. Tyran -11 : River Kyp -15 (since it's not me) Now rly going...
