  1. Is it right that anyone can view the MOTD of any guild set as public? I can see the MOTD of guilds that I am not a member of and can see details that ought to be only viewable to guild members for example teamspeak server details. The MOTD should really be hidden on the portal except when viewed by a member. NB. MOTD = Message of the day, a guild chat property. Guild leaders probably want to remove some details from their MOTDs until this issue is resolved.
  2. Hellbore uses up vastly more energy per second to fire compared with other launchers. I hate to imagine what an increased fire rate would be like! It would not change how I prefer to use a hellbore anyway -- fire once per mob for the debuff. By the time the reload timer is done, it is ready to debuff the next mob. As you point out the hellbore does not do great DPS but the other launchers benefit from the buffs on the hellbore. Can any other debuffer in the game debuff targets at up to 8k? It is a pretty special weapon already and with a proper setup the reload is approximately halved.
  3. I think it may be related to how slowly content has been being pushed out over the past few months. When there is nothing new to do and the current stuff starts to become boring it is natural for the regulars to gradually enter into hibernation waiting for new stuff to arrive. Also the regulars know that ST4 will end eventually and there comes a point when they decide to cut their losses and login less often.
  4. I think Scuti stage 3 is 8000 Collegia (modififed by whatever voodoo Byakhee put in with the dynamic stuff) + 2M credits. Vegato has the same requirements so Scuti might have a new bug in the dialog ... Have you tried showing Composita a sample of Flechette ammo (might need to show L7)? That might open up the subtrate choices.
  5. Thanks Zackman -- synchronizing the e-mail address using the new portal feature worked. All avatars appearing again and operations on the portal work now too.
  6. Issue: After logging in to portal try any operation the portal reports "Log in first" in a red bar across screen. Logging in does not show a list of avatars either. Issue: How to change the e-mail address on the portal or does it matter? I have changed e-mail address used on the forum a few weeks ago and it no longer matches what the portal has on record. Is this causing the above issue? With a different account (with e-mail addresses that match in both places) the first issue does not occur. Any ideas or clues what is wrong?

  8. I like it when a plan comes together will keep an eye out for restart and/or content update to try reactor alpha again.
  9. 9M credits for the CGSPOF? No problembo, don't mind that at all. But I reserve the right to go increase the size of the orphan pool to thin out the share and reclaim some credits indirectly.
  10. Well, thanks for the reply Byakhee. Not sure yet whether I want to ROFL about on the floor or wipe out RD faction to below 1,000. As Will pointed out, that is a great deal of faction grinding to accomplish the reduction from nearly 10k. But not impossible. At the back of my mind there is a wondering if I won't find out yet another roadblock after achieving that faction goal for Red Dragon (may be not yet implemented until next content push ...). Just to reiterate again my privateer has already passed testing Alpha and Beta Agrippa research for weapons and shields. It is amusing that this roadblock was thrown up only for reactors. But I suppose Intuneric Vigoare will eventually have the same attitude towards testers for shields and weapons too. Or there is some other contrivance going on that I am unaware of and do you care to comment?
  11. I voted no because maploco gives all the appearance of behaving like a 3PE. If Net 7 can already do this kind of feature then that would be great. No need then to involve a third party for providing a feature that Net 7 would have no control over.
  12. Did the server crash or was it taken offline by a dev to apply another patch? I believed that the restart 24-48h ago was for the delayed content push that Kyp mentioned due to late submissions. (There were some fixes made, like the shunt shield to reactor effect and some new drops added). It seemed odd to me that if this recent downtime was for another patch then there would be a new announcement? That's why I think it crashed. More than 3h of downtime reinforces the opinion that this was indeed a crash rather than another patch. A patch taking the server offline this long anyone wouldd expect some further news that it was taking longer than expected due to a problem.
  13. The server restart this morning appeared to push the latest content. My privateer went to revisit Intuneric Vigoare to see about testing the Ambush Alpha reactor but still she won't allow the mission to be taken. Re-attaching faction table as the attachment was mangled/lost during the web server location move. [attachment=1499:lotppfact.jpg] I appreciate that tools may have been offline or unavailable during the server relocation. I still hope Byakhee that you will be able to resolve Vigoares recalcitrance (recycled genome may do the trick!) or hint what kind of bribery may be required.

    Mob Dps

    In live it was possible to combat CL5x mobs with any profession although the degree of difficulty varied depending what your profession was, your equipment, your buff setup, your skill points and skills, etc. A Jen in live getting hit probably needed to find more ways to adapt. A JD could solo the drones in BBW above the station and those drones were much tougher than the emulator. A PS could solo the V'rix on Planet Primus and in the shear adjoining Swooping Eagle. A JE could kill any mob solo 1v1 one time at least to prove it could be done. Voltoi started off being pretty tough but then with better weapons and better DPS they got easier to deal with. A pre-turbo PW with all-Archos had to kite, then along came turbo and better buffs and the situation adapted to fighting face-to-face with the Voltoi even against the CL60 boss. Cooper is a venue for levelling up and the difficulty shouldn't be set for OL150 players to have a challenge. That would make levelling up for players trying to progress to the end level too hard. Nifelheim Cloud already seems tuned for OL150 players it was a place in live you could go to level up combat but in the emulator the time versus effort equation doesn't make it worth it. There is always a stage where mobs are tough and challenging before your character improves and you adapt. When a character maxes out their equipment levels and skills the challenge changes. That evolving nature makes it pretty difficult to compare one players experience from live with anothers. And then trying to compare that with the emulator without knowing all the parameters might be a folly too far.
  15. I don't think EA care as long as they keep on raking in the $$$$ from guillible gamers. I haven't bought any EA game since 2004, pretty proud of myself tbh.
  16. Uptime => 372h and counting so take it that the restart is postponed? There are a couple of fixes players are waiting on most notably the shunt shield to reactor buff.

  18. Ahh whatever, I am just glad to have the ability to transfer characters to different accounts. If anyone thinks it makes more sense to re-arrange the column order and number them 1-5 feel free to +1 this post.
  19. I guess a normal player has gotta try this out sooner or later, so I did just that. I added 6 new game accounts and spread the 15 characters on the original 3 game accounts across the 9 accounts (only one character didn't need to move). I logged into the avatar screen of each account to check the characters were in their destination places and they were! Thumbs up! The only tricky part was intending to move certain characters to slot 4 (your slot 3). Please bear in mind what I've said above about the layout on the avatar transfer screen, it's not logical to present the columns as slot 2, slot 4, slot 3, slot 1, slot 0. Most people count from one not zero and would probably prefer it if the columns were simply just slot 1, slot 2, slot 3, slot 4, slot 5 from left to right.
  20. Avatar transfer service tab -- finding the order of the columns a little bizzare for two reasons. Only programmers would number things starting with zero, lol. And the layout is kinda illogical. I realize its laid out like the avatar screen. I might have preferred the columns labelled from left to right slot 1, slot 2, slot 3 slot 4, slot 5. I just know I am going to have a whole world of pain trying to move a character from slot 3 on account A to slot 1 on account E. Remember to take away one, look at the column titles carefully ... it'll be like taking aim with an arrow, nudging it left, right, up, down.... fire!! Woops I moved the character from slot 2 on A to slot 1 on E. I didn't mean that! Wait 180 days to try again. Too bad. Noooooo! It could be easier. Edit: How about adding two buttons at the bottom: [Ok] Click to commit a change after reviewing you've placed the character in the right place. [Cancel] To rollback the character back to where it was.

  22. Noticed on the Net-7 portal that the ability to switch between game accounts registered to a forum account has gone AWOL. It just says "Welcome back!" where it used to show a drop down box listing game account names. Was fine yesterday so problem began recently.

  24. LotPP finished stage two invites for weapons and shields and completed all stages. Unfortunately, stage two invite for reactors still does not proceed in to the alpha test because Intuneric Vigoare still will not play ball. It is puzzling me because neither weapons or shields were a problem and because Vigoare allowed alpha testing for the shield and weapon and beta testing for the weapon as well. I know that Vigoare needs the Ambush Alpha to be equipped and that was what I ensured before opening her dialog.
