  1. Fixed, he won't give you the yeast, if you have "Insane in the Mainframe" as an open mission.  Had to forfeit it to get the yeast.  Fortunately it's still in his options for missions.
  2. So far I've been working on this mission, and have everything except the yeast.  I hear that you can get it from Shang Li Chun.  I've heard that he has a mission to get it, but he won't give me said option.  I have had his mission "Insane in the Mainframe" in my log for quite some time.  Do I have to forfeit this mission to get him to give me his mission to get the yeast, if so, can I get the mission back after this is over?   I have Yum-O-Rum in my inventory, have tried it with & without, no change either way.
  3.   I think this strategy makes the most sense as well.  It's how I leveled my characters both here & in EnB Origins.  Explore is the biggest PITA to get for anyone who isn't an explorer (regardless of race).  The trade jobs are the most efficient way to get XP, including using Trade XP for spillover.  This assumes that L150 as quickly as possible is your goal.   If you're more concerned with enjoying the leveling up process, and not hitting the terminals, you'll need to be an explorer & it will be slow.  If you want to do it with a warrior or trader, well, you're going to have to use the job terminal, or do trade runs.  Even then you will need to get TL & EL high, before you work on combat.  The most efficient process will still be Trade jobs, you'll just stop doing them after you reach TL50, and at least EL40, then play normally from that point on.  From there your equipment should keep up with your weapons.  Your CL will have also been raised, but depending on where it was when you started it should still be behind your EL.
  4.   Had EA implemented the 3 missing classes in the original, the devices rewarded from the mission would not have been usable by the Terran Scout.  In the original game Lyle's devices were Terran Restricted & Explorers only.  As far as I know, these devices were the only items in EnB Origins that were Terran Restricted, rather than Jenquai Or Progen Only.
  5. I have to also agree with Syber & Vitaes.  For a JE we do have options for avoiding combat, and between the Fox, Lion, and Jaguar beams we can defend ourselves against energy immune enemies if we have to fight.  The other options mentioned earlier, cloak & fold space are helpful, especially Teleport Enemy which you can get by EL5 at the low cost of 3 skill points.  Coma helps too which you can get at OL20 if you provide the parts (or the ores to make them).  The PE can play dead if necessary, the Scout is the one that would have to run away.  If the Scout were to get a "hide" skill, they'd have more options as well.
  6.  An alternative is in the future have at least 2 more comparable mission chains.  Since the Scout has already had their "odd explorer out" mission chain, simply add 2 more one that excludes the PE, another that excludes the JE.
  7. In the original the devices that Lyle rewarded a JE or PE with couldn't have been used by the Scout, had the Scout been in the original game.  Those items were Terran Restricted, Explorers Only.  I went and checked the DB and they don't say that at this time.  What I was going to say, is no longer supported by the database, so I typed delete, as in ignore said post.
  8. I think there were some there too.  Even if there wasn't it would be a nice addition.
  9.   Only 3 skill points, but then again I'm pleased with the new whs & the mission.
  10. I enjoyed the mission, as is.
  11. Might be a good idea to sticky this particular thread.
  12.   Agreed.  I think trying to mess with the existing agreement is just asking for trouble within the community.   If for some reason that a major guild, or the public, cannot use their normal spot in the rotation it should not be taken away from them by someone else.  They just have to wait until their next turn comes, or use BL's raid sector.
  13. What Iacobus & Syber said.  Got 3 new wormholes today, thanks.
  14. My PE has completed Agrippa Devices & Shields, I think.
  15. Devices, reactors, engines, shields, weapons, & trade goods, as well as some types of "junk" loot do not stack.  Components, stack, usually to 240, I don't think different percentages stack though.  I don't think comps made by different players stack either, but I'm not sure on that one.  Comps are mostly going to be 100% or 200% quality.  Some "junk" loot & miscellaneous items will stack, but sizes will vary.  Ammo stacks as well, again stack sizes vary.  PM ammo gets "Superior" where manufactured by goes, so that PM ammo will stack with PM ammo.  Vendor ammo and PM ammo don't stack with each other (I may be mistaken on that one.)
  16. I like mining, and lately it's been more enjoyable than it usually is.
  17. From the original, unfortunately, no.  You can; however, go places in this version of EnB that weren't in the original.  In addition it's possible to be a Scout, Seeker, or Privateer, by following the instructions here.  There is also some equipment that wasn't in the original as well.  We're early in the Storyline, the V'rix have shown up, but haven't done anything aggressive, yet.
  18. Speaking of Smuggler's Run system, it has 2 sectors now, rather than one.  Blackbeard's Wake & Paramis.  There's a mini-raid in Paramis that wasn't in the original game, Blackbeard's Ghost.    In Sol Pluto & Charon, Mercury, Uranus, Neptune, and Venus are here, but weren't in the original, Ceres will open in the future.    Proxima Centauri (Adriel Prime & Margesi sectors), Altair (Altair III, Nostrand Vor, and Nostrand Vor Planet), and Castor (Ishuan, Menorb, and later Nebiros) are new systems, they're the newb systems for the Scout, Privateer, and Seeker respectively.    In 61 Cygni there's Moto which wasn't in the original.  Moto can be accessed through Aganju if you have sufficient Terran Alliance faction, and can be accessed from Altair III, if you have sufficient Progen Combine faction. (-1999 or better if I recall correctly)   Job terminals don't have timers like the original (an improvement IMO), you can get up to 6 at once, and all terminals are like the ones in Aragoth Station, was in the original.  In the original Aragoth Station offered jobs from multiple factions, while the other bases only offered jobs for the starbase owner's faction.
  19. Since Live started I've found 2, both in VT along the path of fire (L7 aa Gahkur Ys & L8 aa Gahte An Ne) .  The AA drop rate has been reduced since then.  I can't say for certain, but I think you'll likely have to mine rocks or hulks of a level similar to the level of AA device you are looking for.    There is likely no "good" spot to find AAs, IMO there shouldn't be.  I don't think you can do much to increase your odds of finding AAs more than increasing how much you mine.  If you go on a quest to specifically look for AAs you're probably more likely to find frustration.  If you find one don't be surprised if you were looking for something else at the time or just casually mining.
  20. Wouldn't wish those on anyone, agreed.
  21. Good post Gunny.    When it comes to raids, I think lotto is the best option.  Having lotto rather than say bidding, means that players who haven't made their fortunes yet, have the possibility to win something.  Not having such a possibility may act as a disincentive to people joining raids.
  22. Yeah, that's pretty interesting.  When it comes to client modification, are the issues against it being done here technical, legal, or both?
  23. What are the prerequisites for this mission?  I haven't been able to get it.  I hear that the NPC that gives it is Merjan Kathrada.
