  1. I'm 54, been married 27 years, been employed in the Graphic arts/Printing industry for 35 years, had worked for 8-9 different companies, worked for some of them part time. I can look at something mechanically and can make repairs when ever needed, having a short learning curve makes one desirable to employers.   We/I never lived extravagantly or beyond our means. I always wanted a large boat. I had a picture of the boat I wanted stuck to the refrigerator with a magnet, 20ft 175hp fishing/play, LoL ended up getting a 15 footer with a 15 hp. My boat ended up paying for itself 10x over, I purchased it in 89' and I still have it and make repairs on it myself. As a matter of fact, today I just got done wrapping it up for winter.   My first car was a 73 Ford Gran Torino Sport w/351 Cleveland. The county HWY patrol clocked me at 93 and 98 MPH coming back from WI back when the drinking age in Wisconsin was 19 and in Illinois it was 21. I loved that car right up until the moment I T-boned a Van on a side street in chicago a year later with my now wife in the passenger seat.   Your thinking why the hell am I telling you this? So that maybe you can see from above what to do and what not to do.   Find a job that you like and enjoy doing, when you do that, you become good at it and take pride in doing it.   Budget yourself, splurge once in a great while to remind yourself why your working so dam hard, go out for a great dinner and if you feel like having a drink or four try to do it within walking distance from your home. Remember the bigger and better the things you surround yourself with, also come with a high price for its upkeep and maintenance.   For your first car get something reliable and stylish. If it nickles and dimes you with repairs, it'll drain you of the money and time you should be spending relaxing with a good woman watching the sunrise or sunset. Stylish because you don't need to be teased by the people that call themselves "Friends". You'll know shes a good person when she shares your same interest and expectations of the future. If she can hold onto a good job, that's a good part of life's battle.   Set your goals but don't be discouraged by life pushing you down, And it will ! It will pass, it always does, you have to keep picking yourselves up and push on Always, always learn from everything you do, your friends and family too. Repeat the good and not the bad. Find a hobby, sport or outdoor activity, keep your mind and body active, that day will come when you wish you had.   Work on your retirement NOW ! As Kyp said. Job after job I put off the SEP, IRA or ROTH,  I wish I hadn't. Never EVER use your retirement funds for anything other than your retirement ! Now that I'm getting closer to retirement I'm no where near where I should be. Wow this sounds more like a "Note To My Young Self" Good luck, I wish you a great beginning and a Not So Bleakend ! :)
  2. 11/1/2015 I'm back. It was a nice weekend. Caught some fish not the ones I was hoping for, I can't complain. [attachment=3280:Penny looking.jpg][attachment=3281:P looking up.jpg][attachment=3282:Morning.jpg][attachment=3283:Catfish.jpg]

  4. Oh, oh, Now you did it Phorlaug !
  5. January, 2013 I am sorry to say that this game is just to fun for me now. I don't think I can continue to have this much fun any more.   The mobs behaviour is causing me to Innovate, adapt and Stratgize causing me to use my brain and adding to the fun and helping me forget my day a work..   I can't believe how excited I get when I get the Drop I was hopeing for, this is unexceptible.   I wish my guild members would stop helping me get the builds I need when they aren't busy.   The new builds that are in game and the new ones that will follow, will unfortunatly give me something to look forward to in the future.   The fact that the GMs help me/us when we need them is really sad, they really do help keep us on our path of happieness. The DEVs listen to our input and talk amongst themselves and sometime put our suggestion in our game. Whats up with That? The Beta's working in the shadows and behind the scenes take time out of their day to test the DEVs changes for us, this is just wrong.   Again, I am sorry I will continue to play this game for a long time to come.   So without further ado, I will see you in game.   Semper Fi !
  6. If you really want to know what they are saying, Press Print Screen on your key board and open MS Word and paste. Sorry but your still going to have to type in the Alphanumerical dialogue manually into the decoder at your leisure. Also if you get something like this and want to save yourself some time. Modified Blue Dragonfly.
  7. Just kidding. :) This is helpful. V'rix decoder/encoder
  8. Lol, don't look at me. :) I just about gave up on it.
  9. I'm not sure this will work its been a while. Group with the alt you want to promote to Guild leader then try it. But I seem to remember a GM or DEV is the only ones that can do this that's why the players were ask to nominate a guild founder because it can't be changed by you. ?? I could be wrong.
  10. +1 I like. See mission "Horrible Horatus" Omoron Dention Center (Spelling).
  11. Excellent Lobe ! We're glad you got some quality of life back, take it easy and heal ! Whats the best way for you to play the game? Standing, sitting or horizontal ? What about exercise ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laminectomy
  12. I kind of like Vendetta, running into asteroids and all. I really like the weapons and the mining, the many ships that you could purchase were cool too.

I've been to 3 of those destinations already, but you may already know that. :) One of the most remember able  moments was getting on the Very Crowded Tube, "Mind The Gap" A few Asian gentlemen pushed their way off, I will always remember the proper English woman say "Bloody Foreigners".
  17. Its been a while since Ive had a real vacation. Here's a scary thought. I have been thinking of visiting some of our players countries and cities. My new passport has got no stamps in it ! Here's what I've been looking at, seriously.   London - Oxford - Brussels - Amsterdam  Then do it all in reverse... [attachment=3205:UK rail.JPG] Itinerary: Fly into London, train it to Oxford stay at a bed and breakfast 2 nights, Train it back to London --> Brussels then on to Amsterdam. 21. OH ! Black Crappie are like Paper Mouth Piranha, pound for pound they fight better than LM Bass. Let me show you a stringer of Black and Whites with a couple of big Blue Gills, nothing in that 2lb range you got, I got these in WI.   BTW, nice to hear from you Vrixy. [attachment=3170:B&W Crappies.JPG]
  22. Oh Man I spent over $1500.00 getting my truck and boat in good working order. All I need now is some good weather and a body of water.   I have fished Wisconsin (Castle rock & Petenwell Flowages), Kentucky (Lake Barkley & Kentucky Lake), Michigan (St. Joseph River) and quite a few lakes and rivers in Illinois in this boat.   I'm not going to mention deep sea fishing in the Caribbean and Mexico's pacific.   I am sooo looking forward to getting out this year, IF MOTHER nature will be nice at some point !   My fishing buddy. [attachment=3169:Dog and cat.jpg]   Anyone else do any fishing?
  23. It seems if people want to die-by-train they come to my town. Web search "Hit by Train Des Plaines, IL"
