  2. I don't believe Lobevaser means to change the entire dynamics of the game. I believe he is just talking 75/75/75 to get more sp's than just the one you get after you hit 50/50/50 or maybe even as simple as being able to track your actual level more easily.
  3. Mattsacre, If I read what he said correctly, he is compairing Combat leveling to building and if that is the case that is not apples to apples. You building abilities do not have a direct effect from Trade leveling. From how I am reading the subtle hints how the building process is set-up, it has to do with faction, how many maps you have and how many times you have either built particular items or level of items to get better results. If that is the case then even if you are say trade level 25 with level 5 build, and someone has build level 9. If you have say the same faction with the particular station you are building at, have the same number of level 5 maps and have built the same amount of level 5 say weapons for example, the person at level 5 build could have the same results building a level 5 weap as a person with level 9 build skill. This of course would be if the total shear number of higher end maps the level 9 builders isn't a factor. But, since we don't know how it's actually set-up thats all a moot point I guess. But, my point still stands with trying to compare Combat leveling with building.
  4. Because essentially, all the real world analogies boil down to arguing for the need for an xp system. I've never disputed this. What I'm arguing is that the game is internally inconsistent in that the combat system is based on a single xp system while the crafting system is based on this stacked dual-xp system (first TL, then this pseudo-xp system based on print and build count). The problem I have with this argument is your comparing apples to oranges. An apple to apples analogy is just what we have, Combat, Explore and Trade levels are fairly easy to obtain, so you cannot compare the crafting system to gaining Combat levels, they are two different areas of gameplay.

  6. In a way Phorlaug your right about the spamming of Heals, because if you do so you will retain aggro. But, take this example, let's say the main tank in the FB gets down to 25% shields, the healer hits him with max shield recharge, now the healer gets aggro from the whole group of mobs. The healer will be dead if one the tank doesn't get aggro back before the next volley comes in or if you have two healers and the other healer heals so that healer gets aggro atleast one of those healers will be dead quickly, especially when its Gobb, his minions or the controller as the healers won't be able to warp away from the fight. To me I don't see a way around not spam healing in either situation especially in a raid situation unless you go back to the old FB raid way of doing things as in leaving the healers in the background along with the JD's and just pull the tanks back before they die, thats if it's left the way it is. On a side note to that, the mobs have to have a tether on them, as it sits right now they don't seem to have one as they will follow whoever has aggro all over the sectors or in the FB, unless this issue has been fixed that is.

[/quote] Awwww but I like the like "Live(2004) comments, because if this was an exactly like it was back then, the raids would never happen. I mean think about how many groups you needed to do a Fishbowl or Mordana. I doubt as it sits you could get that many people together at one time, plus if you did manage to get 4 to 5 groups together you would crash whatever sector you were in because this server couldn't handle it.
  9. One thing I would like to know though, how far away are these groups of mobs that aren't being actually fired on aggroing the healer? Also, in regards to the fishbowl raid is it set-up like live, where you could park the healers and JD's in a corner and not be killed? The reason I ask is right now the mobs in the FB will follow you across the entire bowl, or atleast they used to.

[/quote] One of two ways to kill the two mobs: 1. Kill the healer first. 2. Bring more firepower to out DPS the healer.

  12. Did you happen to read the page that loads with the launcher? The game is now LIVE, so everyone is reset to 0 on that day.
  13. I do not see how moving raid days would benefit anyone. Say we do what Magoo suggests, what's to say on FFA day Tuesday, the raid bosses do not get killed until late at night. Now you have the same problem for the Wednesday guild. To me things should stay as they are and we take our chances. The only real way would be to make the raids activated or change the timer to a straight 24hrs.
  14. Personally I would rather celebrate the first day of the EMU, the reason is this is now our game and it has the potential and actually is better than it originally was in some aspects. I loved playing live, but I don't want to celebrate the date EA went live.
  15. This should be added to the bug tracker so the Dev's see it. I need to ask though how long did you wait at the nav?
  16. I was testing biorepression the last couple days in the fishbowl , area is not working in there atleast need test other areas. As for how often it hits, I was getting 1 of 3 or 4 on the bosses in there especially on the master, so you know my TE is fully maxed on every skill. So it is working, still need to do some hack testing, I will try on the nexxt controller or Mordana raid.
  17. Well right now I wouldn't worry about the Coma until it is working properly, example if you coma certain mobs right now they fly away, i.e the AV and Gobb.
  18. Yes as Mynd said there is a feature on the net-7 portal for sharing toon/vaults, but all you need to do really is set aside one account, make some vault toons on it and give everyone in the guild the acoount info so they can access it.
  19. Sleven, an hour was the boss timers in live, that is why it was brought up. I could live with a half hour personally since your not dealing with 30-50 chars on these raids.

  21. Hey Riia are the changes going to take place on next server restart, or content push? Also, will they change on the ones people have at the moment?
  22. You could with the DEA also. That's how u got the 109% cap in live.
