I love the wingman idea... kinda like the buy a drone idea from another post... I still dont see why people dont get the beauty of the OP's idea... opt out means you will never get attacked if you just wanna hang out... the person buying the bounty hunter has no control over when it will attack... so its not like you can see when someone is vulnerable and then just order 10 mobs over to them... and then a surrender command... which auto dismisses the mob even if you are already in combat with it... so you forfeit any prize but dont have to be hasseled by a mob...

while I am usually against these types of ideas I think many of you are being a little hard on it... if there is a total opt out feature it could work... there would be no credit scam cuz you have to pay and the award would never be bigger than the fee... no griefing... just opt out at any time and the mob is gone... the only xp it should give would be whatever a mob that level would give so no xp abuse... plus what about the idea of the birthday bounty that just wishes you a Happy birdthday or whatever happy happy the buyer wants you to get?

just had another thought... bountys dont always have to be a negative thing... you could hire a happy birthday or congratulations bounty mob... that when engaged would morph into the cute huge furry looking mob... what was that again? and give you a happy happy message along with a gift of an item or just credits ...

I think this is a good idea ONLY IF and ONLY IF: 1. a player can opt out of the bounty system 2. a player can at will just dismiss the mob coming after him... even if it is just about to kill him... 3. 24 in game hours is too long... I will assume that the mob does not just randomly wander the galaxy and it knows when you login and just randomly pops in at your exact location to say hi I would say more like 6 hours or maybe 3 real life days 4. no xp debt or equip dmg obviously Now to ofset this so that everyone does not just randomly or automatically dismiss the mob... The mob should not be able to one shot you... you need a warning shot across your bow when it finds you The bounty that was paid to the mob to come after you becomes your reward if you kill or evade it 100% of it... cuz obviously evading it will be just as much a chore

i see this all the time... just a general statement... please dont turn off your firewall and or virus protection everytime something goes wrong and you cant connect to something... no matter what you are trying to do on your computer... it HAS TO WORK with your firewall and virus protection on or it doesnt work...

you can also seletively turn off or down different sound parts in game while you are playing... from the sound menu and the settings get carried over on consecutive logins...

I havent been a TE long so maybe someone else can fill me in... but it seems that the 2k range on L5 hacking makes the skill relatively useless... that and the energy cost vs the amt of times it hits? just the amount of energy it uses vs what our guns need are almost prohibitive... stop me if I am wrong here... but 2k range is more like tanking rather than hacking... I mean think about it... when you get hacked... its not like the hacker knocks on your door, gets invited in and says "can you skuch over bit so I can hack your computer"... rather they are all over the world and definitely not in your site... imo I would rather have 4-6k range, 1/2 the energy use, and a more diminished effect (if it is even possible to make the effect any suckier than it is now), and a greater hit percentage (like double what it is now unbuffed)... jusy my .02

is it possible that when multiboxing instead of having the same process running 3x... client.exe, client.exe, client.exe can the launcher launch additional sessions with a number for example have the process called client.exe, client1.exe, client2.exe this way if you have a problem with a certain window you can identify the process... while I realize this is not totally necessary... you did ask for input

While I realize that you have not worked on or completed this yet... can you post the table that shows the formulas as to how you get a better % chance to analyze something... because I swear that it is totally nonfunctional... no matter how many additional items that I analyze, the %'s at the terminal never go up... so if you could post the formula telling how and what factors cause to increase to x% it would be appreciated... strange... i just created a TE just to see if it was terrans in general and had no problem... I am pretty sure just posting here will get you attention... but in the meantime what I did if it helps you to diagnose was just made a TE using all the default settings and just made and short name arrangements of letters that I felt would not be in use...

well first I would suggest a 2nd account if its for the youngin... this way you can both play at the same time... forget the emulation as XP SP2 as enb plays on all MS OS's up to Win7 However, you do need to make sure that on that same screen you select run as administrator make sure the volume is on when you are creating the character, as if you are choosing a name that is taken it will tell you... oh and can you login to your other 2 toons?

and you ran the test as Admin? meaning you right clicked on the icon and selected run as administrator or changed the program properties to always run in admin?

did you click on the words performance test and then click on ok when it was done?

did you install your video drivers... that looks like an 800 x 600 desktop? make sure all your drivers are in and every last winxp update is in and dotnet 3.5 as well... did you use the instructiosn here https://enb-emulator.com/index.php?/topic/714-install-enb-from-scratch-instructions-rev-7222010/ if none of that works and you have all updates and service packs then I would suggest reinstalling SP3

that idea i like... take 3 of busted up parts and make a whole... like you said... even if it breaks... it most likely didnt disappear totally...

well tbh... I would be ok with building something and having an extra comp leftover... especially if it was one of those 500,000 credit comps sadly we only work the other direction

imho if given the choice I would start at L150, the journey was nothing to me personally... imo the game starts at 150... but thats just me... your mileage may vary I never get bored in game cuz to me its more about the people... most of the times when I login (and this was especially true in live) my goal was just to say hi and chat it up a bit... its like an expensive chat program... hell I can remember back in Q3 Arena days instead of talking to a friend on irc... we would login to a private server and chat there while we practiced rocket jumps or whatever... so again imo... I think many people donate more for just a place to hang out than excitement... although I do agree with C Del... what we have now is still too easy... but we will get there...

i so hate people like that... it really makes a good argument for the death penalty... used to get that in irc sometimes... talk about pissing me off... well in any event you can count on my vote for the death penalty and hopefully they will track the bastard down
