  1. I'm very sorry to hear of what's happening to you as I've had relatives with Parkinson's and am myself genetically predisposed to it . . . but I just want to add a data point that I haven't observed the behavior you are describing. That's not to say it isn't happening for you but only to raise the possibility that maybe there are other factors at work. All the best.
  2. The problem I was experiencing is that each time I spoke to Brook my mission jumped and then the session totally locked up and I had to logout to reset. When I would come back Brook wouldn't have any meaningful talk with me - so no missions . . . like the "The Missing Transport Mission". After *another* ticket and (again, really great) GM response I was finally able to get the Missing Transport Mission from Brook and proceed. There's something hinky going on there, though. The first time the mission jumped ahead I was like lvl 6. That's definitely borked. After that it seemed like it was just trying to find the right spot in the timeline that would allow me to get the required mission. I've completed the Missing Transport and successfully engaged with both Brook and Kerr and am on my way to Tiberius . . . and the, ugh, Ionna-J. So it's all worked out now but there's still some glitches to be encountered.
  3. Well my new PT is at lvl 18 now and still can't do lvl 10 HU. Initially while talking to Brook while I was lvl 6 or 7 the mission suddenly updated to step 2 and was telling me where I would go for my Lvl 30 upgrade (good ol' Ionna on Endriago). I opened a ticket and was reset back to step 1. I then got past lvl 10 and spoke to Brook again - same thing, jumped the mission to step 2 - and locked up the game again so that I had to exit to char selection - but I still have a n00b hull (unless hull strength 15 is what one gets after Lvl 10 HU - and two weps and one device slot). Been to Mars and talked to every NPC there - no dice. Back to Ars Bursa, nope. Even headed all the way out to the shipyards on a lark but, as expected, nothing. So it's nice you saying one can still do their hull upgrades and all but it's not how it's playing out here.
  4. My TE "JarodTE" seems to be in the same situation. He's a Captain and has the appropriate ship level (one weps slot and one device slot that are yet to become active) and is over lvl 90 but has the Report to MacKellan for Lvl 75 upgrade as the current HU mission lvl. Of course she won't talk to me past the go-away-and-glares-at-me portion of the talk tree.
  5. Not to mention that it's 6K explore XP - which that Fenris/Somer run isn't going to pay unless you've already maxed out Trade.
  6. Of course there's always the status icon in the upper right corner of the portal . . .
  7. I definitely notice a difference (for the worse) if packet optimization is not enabled. In addition to that, though, I will also click the "none" (or whatever it is, I'm not in-game right now) to null out the list and then click the level(s) I'm looking to build for that session. Perhaps it's more psychological than it is real but it seems like limiting my list in this way causes it to load faster.
  8. Alt-Tab to the dbase and list the vendors that sell the comp you want. Voila, the name of the vendor at the station is revealed. Over time you don't need the crutch as you know them all by heart.
  9. Best way to tick off an Englishman? Introduce him to everyone you know as an Aussie. Do that to a friend from work at our after-hours bar all the time, it just never gets old.
  10. Sounds like I'll just have to park him - again - for a while.
  11. Ummm . . . I'm really lost now. I'm not really sure what all this means as I don't know who does what . . . I just know that as a *player* I appear to be stuck. What are the "old fashioned trade means" that would allow me to obtain a token? I've gone back to playing my other chartypes for now, it's just so much more straightforward to know what they have to do and get it done.
  12. How about contacting one of the Guild leaders and asking him/her if they could ask their miners to stop cherry-picking? That's pretty rude behavior and I would like to think that any respectable Guild would not intentionally cherry-pick fields like that.
  13. Byakhee - any update? Still not sure what I should do with JarodPW to get him access to tokens/missions. Thanks.
  14. Sounds like Kyp has some code updates that will make this moot, good. However - from listening to various chats on this I think there are some players making a problem out of a non-problem. Specifically I've seen people talking about being "freaked out" seeing high(er) level mobs in areas where they don't expect them and demanding that something be done. Look - if it's a (player) named mob it's not going to do a damn thing except float around. If the named player isn't online I certainly don't have any issue with somebody else gunning it down, but gunning it down just because you don't like seeing the mob where you are makes no sense.
  15. Definitely wasn't in Earth and Beyond (Live).
  16. Search is your best friend if you wish to avoid dup threads: https://enb-emulator.com/index.php?/topic/2379-manufactoring-from-vault/
  17. Whoa, giving out skill points for every holiday seems over the top, just IMO. Especially when you consider that for many of the holidays named above players are AWAY from the game. I think it would reduce the value of the EARNED skill points by players gaining XP if people that happen to be online at some specific times are able to suddenly inflate their skill points.
  18. I find most people are typically willing to help out in a xfer, I know I usually respond to such requests. Usually just ask in the [Local] channel while in a station "Can anyone help me with a quick xfer between chars please?" and somebody will usually respond. It's expected that you have BOTH chars already there, of course, so the other player isn't waiting for the target char to complete, say, a trade run from Fenris to Somer.
  19. Great idea! Yeah, I don't think anyone is looking for a catalog of all available missions but a little help in finding them would be great. This idea would seem to go a long way towards getting more players to seek out and take on missions.
  20. I'm a little confused as to what I should do next. Yesterday while doing the Lvl 75 HU mission (since completed, I was at the WRONG Vali, sorry!!!) I chatted with Byakhee, along with others, about not having any mission (other than the L75 HU) in my mission log - and that I couldn't get any tokens to do any of the optional missions. Per what was said I opened a ticket for a GM to remove and reacquire Mission ID 99 (this is for my PW char) which was done. When I logged in today I was happy to see that my mission log now had the Master Mission back in. Yay! As expected I needed to go to Kerr and then to the shipyards and pay 10K, which I did. After paying the 10K to the shipyards the mission then advanced to step 4: "Advanced on completing your Lvl 30 Hull Upgrade mission from Ionno-J Denion Pourvenir Mons (Endriago Planet)" What am I supposed to do now? I still can't progress the talk tree with Centuriata Nota to give me a token. I'm going to try heading over to Ionno-J just to see what happens. [uPDATE] Well, Ionna-J wasn't much interested in talking to me (Shoo, shoo, go away!) so not much help there. Hmmm, won't let me upload a screenshot so I've put it over on Flickr and linked to there. 21. Snopes.com is really your friend for stories like this. I think I've received like 6 or 7 (always forwarded) emails from friends alerting me to this "awesome event". However, not every email alert you receive is a hoax. If you recently heard about Plastic bottle bombs being left on lawns and driveways then be aware this is TRUE. Is there some shortage of dog-poop and/or paper bags that's driven kids to this new extreme?
  22. But wait, C Del, how about adding in the non-guild count as well? I mean surely some of us are to blame for the OP's woes, no?
