  1. Trying not to feed the troll, and sorry to the people who get emails on this thread but...   You and people like you are a major part of the problem.  So next time you want to be critical, look in the mirror... and GTFO..   Thanks.. have a nice life.. good riddance and all that..
  2.   #1. is great if we wipe out the gazillions of credits already in circulation first, would put extremely rare items into the "common" category... which I don't think is likely.   #2. See #1 Buying your way to max... bad idea given the amount of money out there...    #3. Not a bad idea, but 100M for a WH... I'll use my JE and get there in 4 gates no matter where it is..
  3. I apologize, I am just a very literal person, I didn't mean to imply anything by it...   Prima guide?  How may one take a look at this thing you speak of?   :)   Oh and don't take me wrong Uly, I love all of you devs... I just like to make sure I understand things clearly otherwise I look at what I see v.s. what I am told and get confused... When that happens I question...
  4. Yes, thank you....   I agree the Ore prices were askew, some ores were incredibly high value and others were almost not worth harvesting... I hope you took into consideration the commonalty of the ore as well, I can hit a field and pull 100 of an ore and only 10 of another.. the larger quantity available should, with reason, be lower value by some factor..   I have not explored refining and building items from ores then selling the items, though I can imagine someone using macros to do this, for face to screen players this would be VERY tedious to do at any scale.. For you it would be good to know which items they are building and make adjustments to them to make it less profitable to do this, but I am certain there aren't that many people doing it.    From what I can tell the vast majority of credits come from loot.... Many players don't even have a prospector, let alone spend hours running around harvesting ores to put into a factory situation.  They get their loot from selling items to vendors that they looted while killing.  Once you break a certain level (CL40-50) the profits for loot exceed cost for ammo and profit slowly builds... I think it is inaccurate to say that the two primary ways to make credits was via prospecting over the long haul.
  5. Are we back to daily crashes?   The lag is horrible too.. and it's not network lag on my part... severe bursts of lag for 5 or 10 seconds periodically through the day...
  6. How can he have set the value of ores on the Market?  That is supply/demand based, more importantly it is buyer driven, which means if a person will pay 1M for a refined ore or 100K that is between the buyer and the seller... No dev can set that...   And if this is simply the lowering of sale value of refined ores to vendors that is probably appropriate to some degree, but for those of us that play primarily prospectors this will seem like a credit nerf.. Since JE/TS/PS doesn't gain much from selling loot but from refined ore I hope you kept this in mind as their primary source of credits. Although Credits as a whole have lost their value in general if you are going to nerf the ore sales value at vendors I would expect a similar nerf to the Loot sales value because that is where MOST of the credits are made...   If someone is mining ores, refining them, building components then building items to sell those for profit and making massive profit you have to consider the time it takes to do all of that.. sale value of core items, weapons and devices needs to be brought into that scale to prevent people from doing this kind of thing on a Macro to make credits will also bring down the sale value of all vendor sold items.  Which is a massive endeavor and could be construed as a massive nerf of all credit making methods. For those of us who do not macro be careful you are not nerfing everything for the sake of a few people who abuse things.
  7. I don't see this.. I just checked my L9 ores at a vendor and they are offering 400 - 2000 credits per ore... If their value has increased I just don't see it.. And where does one "buy" such ores? Your reply implies we can buy them somewhere.  Where is this mystical and magical place?
  8. It won't work that way... you'll probably break something doing that.. each player has it's own options file where that info is saved.. Not like the keys or shortcuts..
  9. Login server is down it appears.. we have to wait for someone who can fix it, to fix it... main server still pings so if you are logged in you can still play, at least for now.. until you crash...
  10. Then by all means, organize a group and do the raids... If you can do that then you are doing better than anyone else has in a long while.  The rotation is for the big guilds that raid routinely to keep from stepping on each other.  EG has entered "Big Guild" status and they want to raid regularly, this means entering the rotation.  Smaller guilds and individuals can't even pull off a simple gate raid regularly let alone one of these large raids...
  11. That would also be a major improvement.  If there was something AFTER this that was "FUN" or "USEFUL" without further aggravation it would be a motivation factor and a reason to achieve this goal of finishing Agrippa.  So far I have only made the components and items for my own ships, the demand for them on the market is spotty and I doubt I will ever recover the "investment" it required to complete.   I have noticed that I am now able to complete Terran Advantage I - III missions with use of my new Progen team, so that is something for my TT to get out of this.    If they did the following it would make HUGE strides to clearing up the "PITA" factor of this series.   1. Fix the back doors.  Either move the content needs out of the closed sector or change the mission to accessible content.   2. Back door missions that require items that are extremely rare or raid drops that are very hard for people to get need to be reconsidered.   3. The level restriction at 75 or be forced to back door the Stage I needs to be clearly understood by the prospective Agrippa apprentice. It says it in the mission but people just don't understand it.   4. The "Run around" aspect of these items is intense.  Having to go all over the place for one mission is fine, maybe two missions, but there is over a dozen prints that require 'unusual' items and components.  There are some ways that could be cleaned up, perhaps by a custom vendor that has many of the things you have to run clear to Mars or Endriago to get. The Level 4 vendor is a HUGE help, but it would be nice if there were a vendor that sold many of these peculiar components.   5. Fix the mission that bug out, specifically the SOOA mission and the L8 testing missions in stage III.  These missions can me a major obstacle if the apprentice is not able to complete them.   6. The L8 testing mission for the Flechette is completely unhinged.  How a CL42ish PW or PP is to kill 21 CL51 Ten-gu with any degree of success is beyond me without a group backing them up. If it is a test of the weapon a group of backup ships defeats the purpose of testing a weapon, the results would be inconclusive.   7. Look at the Flechette PL again... The ammo components issues are bad enough, but the sig reduction buff makes it useless for any PW that would be the "Tank" of a group.
  12. My perspective is different Pakk.. I don't see the value of the Agrippa missions, having completed the entire set of missions for all three classes, to be worth anywhere near the effort and exasperation it creates.  Even with a lot of help from others, thanks to Lannister, Prre and others as well as bits from the WIki I was able to complete the series...  Yes as I look back on it they were not so horrendous as all the hype makes it seem.  That being said there are aspects to this line of content that could be retouched in various ways, not to make it easier, but to make it more rational, more logical...    That is simply my opinion, and as you probably know I am all about expressing it when I feel the need.  I don't expect anything to change with the content, however I will not advocate anyone to experience it, in part or in full.  The 6 useful prints that are obtained when it is over are not even remotely worth the effort to obtain them.  The only people who should be going through this ordeal are those who are dead-set to have the ability to make those 6 items.  (Ambush 8 and 9, Skirmish 8 and 9, Tactical Advantage 8 and 9)  Some may find the Flechette PL worthy of consideration but it has a number of issues that make the weapon nearly useless to anyone who does not have a full compliment of Agrippa builders.    I think it's great we have a race specific line of missions for some "slightly better than average" equipment that is not necessarily race specific.  But it seems to me that the Agrippa missions are excessive in their detail and restrictions for the end content they provide.  All of these opinions I had before I endured the content, but I have not spoken about it until I had experienced it first hand and could stand on the experience and give my opinion some spine.    Agrippa is not worth the time, effort or credits it takes to complete it and maintain your sanity. That is my opinion and only my opinion, the entire thing needs to be revisited and rationally rethought given the grief it has caused, the number of abandoned toons it has created and the massive time sink it represents.
  13. Oh, so Progens don't need the Sabine? Great news..
  14. They shut it down to fix Varen's Girdle sector.
  15. We are currently developing information on mobs and drops in the net-7.org/wiki  but it is still very early in development..
  16. Yeah that would be a client mod... not going to happen..
  17. I am getting so tired of hearing "That's how Byakhee wanted it"...   There is no reason why the center of experimentation of the Progen Military Complex would NOT be able to refine critical ores needed for production.. None, Nada, other than pure sadism..
  18. I agree with CPwings here.. There is no reason to add more irritating aspects to the game.. Just the recent addition of failed debuffs has caused me a bit of frustration.   Also 2 additional points....   1. Who flies around with stacks of refined ores in their hold?  2. Real life issues do not translate well into games.  I play to have fun, not be annoyed by little crap all the time.
  19. Lack of a refining terminal on this station causes undue irritation while doing Agrippa missions for Sentinals.  Currently the PS is required to fly clear to Endriago to refine ore needed for her missions.  Emporos doesn't have a refine terminal either.  Can we get one added at NV station please?
  20. Back to the original Poll.. I was looking at it and thinking... Is this actually how it sits?  We all know the stats on the number of toons created of which race/class is highly inaccurate when you consider what people actually PLAY...   First we have to look at this term.. "Played"   Does this mean the toon gets logged in and flown around or actually being used to to it's fullest potential?  To my way of thinking "Played" means the latter.. Using the toon to play as a solo entity, not in support of trade runs/jobs or combat healing for your PW while you pound it with endless ammunition that it hauls for you.. These secondary "Dual Boxed" toons are not being "Played" they are being used like a utility knife, to solve a logistics problem for the toon that is actually being played..   I Play my JE.. A lot.. bounce from sector to sector looking for this mob so I can kill it for it's loot for my builder side-project, or looking for more of that elusive Grail Water and maybe a hulk or two.. I do this for HOURS.. So I can say that I do "Play" my JE..   I play my JD, if I find something with my JE and she gets her butt kicked trying to play with it.. out comes the JD.. Fly it out to wherever and see if I can get some payback... a nice RTB and she's back home... Or I take her out and track down Feathers, farm parts for this or that build project.  Grab a newbie JE from off the loading docks of Joves and drag them to some god forsaken corner of the galaxy and let them loot and leech some combat XP while doing it... That is PLAYING the JD..   My JS is more often paired up with my JD.. but not in the way most people think.. In the pairing my JS is always "Leading" and the JD simply becomes extra firepower... JS is for farming comps or camping an item.. she and JD can sit for hours like a shark in the depths and then when their prey arrives it's dead in seconds.. Think about it, 9 beams cloaks and all those buffs, not much stands up to those two.. So in a way I Play my JS...   I play my PS  (the big one) .... I fly her out to Lagarto and some of you may have seen me leisurely loping around the large field there in the gravity well.. Gathering bits from hulks and the odd L9 ore.. Mostly looking for Tiles or suits to feed my faction issues on my toons.. Normally my TS is in tow, mainly as a easy path through the grav well and a storage spot so I can stay out longer than my tiny PS hull will allow....   My TT.. sit in OMP parked and pops in to build this or that, maybe once in a while I'll get called out to support someone with a Jinx mission or maybe even a raid here and there... but I don't "Play" my TT.. I USE it..   The TS is a Courier.. as a miner she falls short of JE's ability to decimate large fields of ore in a short time.. But she's got a big hull and she's fast.. Great for parking near a spot I am working and holding loot or ore.. I USE my TS..   The other Progens are still in development, but my JD has spoiled me.. I've been wracking my brain to find a "Use" for the PP and the PW when they are done and equipped properly... Time will tell...   My poor TE... my aversion to Kiting and Ammo has put this toon DEAD last on my list to develop.. For my play style she just won't get picked often to come out and do her thing..   The point being two fold..   1. What toons do you PLAY and what toons do you USE? 2. Don't let the server stay down for 7 hours and not expect me to ponder such things...
  21. Is OK.. this is part of it.. patience when patience is needed... one of the lessons of an EMU with limited staffing..
  22. I actually like this idea.. slow regeneration of the hull rather than a "recharge" like hull repair does with TT/TS.  I wonder if it is possible given the internal code involved, because I'd like to see something like this for JS..   Total Hull points /4 spread over the duration of the buff, similar length of time as say... Shield Charging or Reactor buff that JS already has.. so not a HUGE buff and not going to save someone getting pounded, but will correct for small damage that got past the shield but wasn't enough to take the ship out..
  23. Since this server is hosted at 1and1 you need to realize it isn't parked in someone's garage and connected to the world.  The hardware we are talking about is in a server cluster, in a cabinet, in a data center with thousands of other servers.  Hardware failures in a data center stack is not like a single server, they are stripped.. triple redundant and monitored constantly.  If  server even twitches the data is moved to another server in the back ground, traffic is shifted over and the "Problematic" hardware removed/repaired and replaced in the stack as a spare.  So a hardware issue is possible, yes.. but often would only result in a momentary connection drop to the outside user.. Cloud Stripes are awesome.. You can shoot 3 or 4 of the servers in a stack and it would barely twitch.. Yeah Shoot them, with a shot gun, if it didn't cut the power to the rack, it all keeps going..   The power of virtualized networking...
  24. There is so much wrong with what he posted I am convinced he was just a troll..
