I'm not sure you can have a passive affect group members. But the revision does look better on paper. Though the problem with non destroyable is if you get the wrong person that pulls it in they are now stuck with it forever without GM intervention.

Why not ask for an "I Win!" button instead. All these posts asking for massive ubar items will only lead to more mobs with way more hit points and resistances that not everyone will be able to accomplish. Then it leads to them whining that they can't experience everything and that leads to nerfs, then more whining and so on and so forth.

I thought the rings were an improvement. the thrusting between the roids allows your reactor to recharge. It's also easier to keep track of clearing them and you don't have to look all around to find that 1 that is eluding you by hiding within another type of roid.

If you want to mine, make an explorer class, there was 2 back then and now there are 3. To beat the dead horse that is option 1, it will never happen without a client change. Enough everyone drop it already.

I will not pay for a nearly 10 year old game. Now if they attempted to come out with a fully updated client including all the changes that we need then perhaps. Though now it would have to compete with Eve online, SWG, STO, and soon SW:KotoR. If they could get some developers behind the story that actually know what they are doing and give them the chance EA could have a powerful presence in the MMO world. EMP will do it in burst damage, not DOT and does more damage to shields then explosive, also most mobs don't have EMP resistance. Coming in with missiles in the air launching while you get close depending on the ROF and ammo type that is one massive hit when they all come at once.

A hot swap of weapon layouts seems like an interesting concept but it makes PWs even more powerful. Imagine launching 6 EMP ML (massive shield damage) from range get close enough for chem PL ammo to tear through the hull. yeah that isn't overpowered at all.

No, no, no, no, no, no and no! When the Bogril zone was added with their raid the mobs were nothing but insane resistances and super high hit points that people got bored attacking them. I've actually heard people leaving the area to make more ammo because they ran out. It's stupid to think that people will want to waste 10 min attacking one mob in a raid. Plus if a JE can eventually get 6 weapon mounts why play a JD at all. Aside from rally what makes a TE any different then a TT or a TS? (Okay TS can't build ammo but it can be easily bought)

Remember not all of them had a mob, some just blew up and you took damage, some blew up and you got a buff from reactor recharge to speed. I'm not sure what everyone know about field clearing bonus. It isn't the entire field but the individual types within the field itself. Mine all the rocks, get a bonus. Mine all the radio actives, get a bonus, same for hydrocarbons, gasses and crystals. The exp is actually fine from what I am seeing on my lvl 24 Scout. Make the fields in the noob sections bigger with no or non aggro mobs. Have a few unguarded fields scattered in the empty sections of a sector which would be smaller. Then scale the mobs with the size of the field. If it can handle say 2 miners, then have it need 2 people to keep it clear. leaves the miners with the ability to either defend themselves or ideally get 2 people with bigger guns and lacking EL and they can exchange some CL for it.

I have no problems with strip mining. I did it in live and I do it now. You have to realize that you can't carry an entire field back with you. Chose 2 types to comb through and you won't have a problem. If you notice the clearing bonus is for that type of ore, be it crystal, gas, rock, radio active rock, hydrocarbon. I can sit in mars with my lvl 21 scout and pull all the crystalline and radioactives from behind Rom and Rem and still have some empty spots going back to the station to refine and then sell. Of course vaulting the needed ores first. My gripe is with all the flipping bio mobs there are that some how live in space, why are there not a lot of hydrocarbon deposits?

Speaking from experience, but perhaps real life happened and didn't have the chance to close out the 'roid before he had to go afk. It happens to be especially if I am doing things while waiting to get loaded or unloaded as I am a truck driver and some of these places can take hours to do either action. When they say come in for your paperwork, they mean it cause they want me out of that dock so someone else can get in there asap.

As I stated before the first thing I do is turn off new Player chat. I leave on General, market and guild chats. Then I don't have these problems.

At least we don't have the dregs of EBPortal posting stuff just to up their post count. Then again we don't have all those lame forums post games here either.

TurdFurgerson is just childish and I pointed it out. I did not know that a GM has seen and forced the change. Yes it may have been part of SNL, but it caters to the lowest common denominator of humor which most of the time is sexual innuendos and toilet humor.

Actually in live Loric was put in near the end with some missions and a faction reward for Hyperion Explorers, his station is still there in Lagarto with construction going on but he himself is missing.

In live 5k was the max warp cap and unless you were after buffs, 5 or 6 was where most people stopped with their engines.

I have never seen the TOS rules bypassed, but the Shutdown warning can be bypassed with the reg file that someone posted on a different thread.

I have that same problem. If you notice your mouse is stuck in the upper left corner and can't move until you alt-tab out again. I've tried to restore and move but nothing happens requiring to shut down from task manager.
