....and of course larger vaults and Guild vaults. I'd be happy to see it skill based with say two extra rows for every build or prospect level. And 2 extra rows per guild member in a guild vault. In Eve you could list items by icon/name, and there was a neat 'find' tool. I'd also like to see components separated from ores in the filter - very difficult to find things.

So for Beta - the invite only goes out to people who a. actively contribute and b. dont cheat. Just an idea

Which reminds me - I think there are two silly missions In Glory's Orbit - seeking the paths of memory or something, and checking up on the data satellites. I think that might be one where you get a L2 scan device (....it was 5yrs ago).

If you are a combat char then try finding a high lvl miner that wants to take on the L9 roids in some very dodgy places. But be nice and share the loot that drops. I sometimes need cover. Mining xp is not bad if you are mining efficiently - for that you need points investing in Prospect, Reactor (best recharge) and Devices - PM of course. If you invest points elsewhere you will spend all day watching the reactor rise for one more unit to be mined. Mine the roids above L6 (L1-6 only give 50xp per roid). L9 gives 225xp. If you get it right you suck up the xp constantly - way faster than touring. Gas is particularly good (more of it please devs!). Grouping with other miners is even better. A neat thing to do would be to attack high level fields in a swarm with combat cover. Clear the mob, clear the field, move on. The only trouble is there simply isnt enough ore fields in any one system yet, for a team to do this for any length of time. And remember to refine for trade. If you are near the next prospect level be disciplined and save the ore for the next level and you will get the extra trade when you refine. Keep enough and you will get a really nice bump up on trade.

It would be nice to have information. We did get a snippet of news earlier. But two things - sometimes it just takes an unknown time to fix something, and remember we do not have a big game company supporting this 24x7 (certainly not paid from monthly subs). We are probably waiting for someone to wake up and reboot the server.

I think the majority want a level playing field on the play server. I've witnessed a few exploits and it just imbalances the game. Tinkering with game mechanics, free loot - especially uber-items, credit shortcuts and xp exploits all serve to worsen the game experience for people doing it the correct way.

My oft repeated request is for hulks to drop loot again. Dont care if its random, infrequent or in insanely guarded fields. And perhaps some things that are hard to obtain/unusual/unigue to mining/valauble akin to loot we all know and love from MOBs.

We are probably waiting for California to wake up? It would be nice if someone who knew something could let us know what the problem is.

...and explorers should be able to make ammo, and have L9 shields/weaps/reactor and 5 weap slots and lots of turbo buffs....well NO. Choose well grasshopper... Warrior or Trader or Explorer. The thing still missing at the moment is the hulks. There is only so much point to mining ore (most minerals which you could rip from looted comps anyway). You can source rarer ammo-ores, etc. But at the minute the end-game fails the explorer. You spend the time getting E45 and T45 so you can mine L9 ores and get max build, when warriors sail around zapping the mobs and getting lots of goodies, lots of credits and trade, lots to analyse. Explorers need a slice of the cake too with L8-9 engines/reactors/devices/comps/weaps and rare (only to be mined) items. Sorry - until hulks are restored, and put them into high lvl mob areas then there is little point getting an explorer to maximum. Gallina is good to a point (so well done to the Dev that put that together) but the drop list is limited to just 4 different L2 devices, 4 x L4 devices and 2 x L6 devices - and most suck.

Daywolf - so you want UK (and US) to pull out of Iraq and Afganistan too? There are very few US troops in Europe these days - and mostly for operating US long strategic logistics. USAF would struggle to fly anywhere if it wasnt for European help, especially Britain and its dependent territories like Diego Garcia. Norfolk England at 4am sounds like JFK with all the lifters, troop carriers and refuellers taking off - and no they are not all American. Plus ships bunkering in Gibraltar. As someone said - the gaming world doenst normally want to talk politics, wars and religion. Perhaps we should keep it that way. ? and we got onto this through insurance...? Ok - politics, wars and religion and insurance.

And in my book an exploit when someone gangs 5 'newbie' chars expressly made for the purpose of trailing round the systems to gain explore XP - it never happens does it....! ?

There are some areas (not the training area) with high densities of the same ores. There are several oddities with ore spawning. I love the cleared field bonus which sets of a respawn ?30mins? ater. Some roids have a couple of devices in them. Not sure this is intended. Hulks needs some love. Some roids dont mine at max distance and you need to get up real close to start drilling, and you then find even if you are at 0.0 the ore is dragged in from a long way away. Some roids look massive, and (even though they are rock) they only have 1u of Helium. Until prospecting is encouraged more then the temptation will be to go for warrior classes.

Ah - new to this JS stuff. The installed icon on the control panel only changes the level. When you select yourself or another player you get a little battery icon appear above the selected ships panel.
