  1. Yes Prre - there are issues it seems... I've been able to log on all morning, but all my clients get disconnected within 5 mins of beginning playing - most recently, crashed by the time that the 'toon enters the system - can't even target the nearest nav straight after login...
  2. Thanks Janwarrior - that worked nicely for me :) ATB
  3. Don't take it personally Felix - the game server has been up the spout for the last 36 hours or so... it's nothing that you're doing wrong... apparently it's all to do with the firewall configuration on the new server... I managed to load a character last night... ONCE... but haven't been able to repeat that minor success since!! Don't give up - we have hiccoughs, but this isn't the "norm" in terms of reliability... the team work really hard & generally, manage to do a stunning job in feeding our collective addictions hopefully we'll see you ingame soon & then there'll be no looking back Normal service **SHOULD**l be resumed soon(tm) H
  4. Well put Prre - I think you've said about all that I'd want to say at this point on the subject...   H
  5. Hi all - I have a couple of suggestions for the net-7 portal, which you could either listen to, or ignore at your discretion... 1) there used to be a N7 Logo associated with the website... this has been missing for some time, so new machines that I add bookmarks to the website on just get a standard browser logo, instead of the nice turquoise "N" & red "7" - could we please have the icon back?? 2) Account vault: - BRILLIANT TOOL NICE ONE TEAM!!! - only suggestion would be - could we have a "sort" button, to order the vault contents by type, rather than just alphabetically? - this isn't a moan at all - just something that I thought would be helpful when using the interface. thanks again!! Hobies :-D
  6. Hi - I had a working client this afternoon... logged off & then tried to log-on again... I was getting to the char selection screen fine, but when I tried to ender the game with one of my characters, the client would CTD... I tried using debug launch mode to no avail, so I tried resetting the updates in the launcher, which has helped with similar issues in the past... the launcher patched fine, but i had exactly the same issue as others have reported in the past with "unhandled exception occured in your application. If you click continue. the application will ignote this error and attempt to continue. if you click Quit, the application will close immediately.... InvalidArgument-Value of '5' is not valid for index' Parameter name: index." this happens every time I try to patch the client, and I CTD if I try to run the game. yes I am running as administrator... and yes I have tried clearing the updates & repatching about 10 times now... Any bright ideas would be much appreciated thanks very much PS - the Details button gives me the following text by way of an explanation: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: InvalidArgument=Value of '5' is not valid for 'index'. 7. Yes it seems that the logon server is FUBAR agin - I logged on briefly at 15:30 GMT to make some amm, then logged off at 15:35 to vault transfer, and couldn't get back on at 15:36 Ah well - hopefully we will have access again soon
  8. OK - good point - I'll crawl back under my little 'roid & keep chewing my fingernails then
  9. maybe one day, they could add an option to net-7.org, whereby if enough of us tick a box, it reboots everything without any of the 'gods' having to lift a finger?! I'm sure that this is probably a very bad idea for some reason, but it would help us to stop chewing our fingernails in the current situation I'm not winging at all - it seems to me that everyone at net-7 is doing a great job, and it's great to be playing agin... until... we can't
  10. rebooting made no difference, as long as the VPN was connected, same issue - repeatable on another machine - connect VPN & game won't work!! - yes the launcher reports the server as being up! easy solution - don't have the PPTP VPN connected while trying to play =D - leave work at work!! regards Hob
  11. using ESET Smart Security... (extension of NOD-32 AV)
  12. Hi there - I have installed & patched on my desktop machine - I successfully played for a few mins earlier on today on it, to prove it was ok... now I come to play, and the launcher tells me "server failed to respond to logon request" yet i can login fine using my laptop. - does anyone have any ideas what I'm doning wrong? win 7 32bit, virus checker & firewall are in learning mode... thanks Hob
