  1. No..still not fixed:( Are you aware of the bug? When you try to load net-7.org it shows up for a split second, then the applet trys to load something and the screen stays white forever...

  3. Hello ! Net-7.org has our characters online already, skills, SP etc. What about the idea showing the Hold and Vault online as well? This way we could lookup if we got "part XY" in vault of a mule toon without the need to relog. Sound great? Yes it does

I will be happy to help out since i have a record-studio here. I can do voice-overs in english (german accent) and in german as well (male). I would like to takeover the finishing of all voice overs here, which is (in detail) post-processing and mastering. All voice overs should be of the same sound quality and levels. [b]A few tips for recording:[/b] [list][*]Voice overs should be in mono (become stereo in mastering)[*]44 (better 48) KHz[*]16 Bit (better 24)[*]Wave or aif format[*]Use a condenser mic (dynamic microphones are usually arent good enough for studio-vocals)[*]To avoid plop/wind noise - use a pantyhose over the mic[*]do not turn your head while talking[*]since we do normal speaking, come close to the mic but not too close[*]avoid any rrom reverberation. If you have reverberation in your room, use a blanket over your head and mic to avoid reflections from the room[*]please do not use any compression, de-esser or other tools in the record chain - thats done in the postprocessing[*]voice overs are like good actors: You have to "live" what you are talking about. Anyone will hear an unemotional reading - comparable to a bad actor talking like a robot[/list] If the developers feel the urge to move on in this topc, feel free to join me into the "TFVO" (Task force voice-over).

  7. Hi. Did not find anything using the term "svn" in the search, so i ask here. 1. What is the SVN URL for the current repos ? 2. Can i find the MySQL DB also there? I just want to lookup some code and database stuff, check out some places in the code regarding gating, CTDs, mysql queries etc. Not saying you're not fine on your own - i am sure you perfectly are.

    v'rix

    I like having no Vrix so far - it helps the feeling of EnB. When the EMU goes live one day, even then there should be no V'rix/bug. Then we can all level a bit and someday some...."unnatural occurence" may come up introducing changes in the space we called our home... Let us all enjoy the golden sunset of Mercury, the peaceful and warm space of Glen and the endless freedom within the Endragio system...go and visit Praetorium Mons and enjoy your trip - as long as it is still there....
  9. Good morning Tienbau, i know i know But i think the launcher news are more of a "public version" of milestones. Im pretty sure to never read there: Fixed deadlock when crosslocking players in trade or changed objectID from int to uint32 for inventory items etc. The news on the launchpad shows what HAS been completed, but i doesn't show whats NOT completed (open tasks). Maybe some community members are able to help with certain tasks if they would know whats left to do ? Was just an idea. I also do understand that the coders are busy spending their free time with coding the server and that there isn't really time left for maintaining a project-status site/page/list. Laterz...

  12. Exactly this. Dont forget, while some dont mind starting over again, some do - which means less testers every wipe (counterproductive). Means i am logging in now after month of absence due to the last wipe. Why ? Because TradeXP is the uber-suxor and missing job terminals are not helping this issue But i think ive read about jobterminals...so im going to check now.
  13. Netbooks native 1024 X 600 is the problem. Since the game is 4:3, you will finally end up windowing 800 X 600. Not really fun...
  14. VMWare is free as well (Player, ESX, Server). I play EnB on VMWare under Linux and Windows too (portable workstations on an external drive) and since VMWare has a basic 3D acceleration and DirectX-Abstraction it is working quiet good. It helps, that EnB is not that gfx-hog like modern games.

  16. bhuges, i have an old tool here called "Travelmate", which was (is) a windows tool for EnB-route calculation. Its taking also wormhole-skill/level into consideration for calculation. If you clue me into your algo u using for calculation, im willing to develope a new windows tool.

    hard to read sentences without any puntuation and commas i dont know why this has been changed i think its because they are working on mobs as well some1 might have sent in some infos about aggro or not they might change this now to reflect more live.
  18. ...4 pages for such simple thing...in my books I dont talk about killsteal or mobsteal, i am talking about fairplay and common sense, so here is what i do: If i jump in and there are people already around, i ask for an invite. If the group is full or they dont want to invite me, i ask for "share" (left spawn, right spawn). If all fails, we have a problem (never happend so far). Boss/rare mobs: If a group is camping, they have the "first option" in my book. If they "overcamp", i ask for a break to let our group camp a bit as well. If all fails, we have a problem - the last step then is "most damage kill" then (intentional damage race). This last step is caused due to "unfair" acting of the overcamping group, so no need to complain (house made problem). Hunting general: Whenever i see a player around, i watch the mob i have targetted, esp. the health. If the health is not 100%, i wont' shoot the mob ! Before i "take" this mob, i also check if there are already missiles on the way. If both is no, i go after this mob. This has to do with fair play and common sense. This is an mmo-server and a consequence is that more people will hunt the same mob/same spot. Its a MUST to arrange with others and it will work 95% of the time, if you act fair and nice - my experience. Yes, it happend to me that i was accidiently shooting an "owned" mob. I immediatly stop firing then and send a tell to the other player (Sorry, didnt see you, dont want to ksing) If i was doing more damage with one shot (low mob, hunting for eg. a low level device to map), i open the corpse and give the loot to the other player !! It happend also to me, that others shoot "my mob". If they are sorry and act fair (no repeating), all is fine. If they are jerks (happend as well), i will response appropiate...

  20. I think the problem is more based on the "Unknown Opcode"-Problem. Looks like the proxy is dropping the connection while receiving opcodes he can't handle. As a result, the client is losing communication. Sometimes, the proxy seems to pass some opcodes to the client, which the client can't handle or cant handle correct at this point, then it "hard"-crashes to desktop. I see unknown opcodes after gating-crashs more often, but yesterday it happend even in space. You reconnect...you CTD again, second relogin normally works. It looks like it is also dependent on the (higher) serverpopulation. I will write donw the opcode next time when i have the chance to see them, cuz the proxy will shutdown as well shortly after the CTD.
  21. I am not leaving ... This was my first (love) MMO and will be my last I dunno if these kinds of suggestions are welcome, maybe a dev can comment this.
