sirmorte
I am trying to log in using my regularly user name and password. However, I get an error message that " Your log in does not appear to be valid. Use the default launcher." HELP , I can't log on.I am using Vista and have been able to play using my username and password for months. Now it doesn't accept my username and password from the same computer. Here is what I tried: I have read the FAQ under tech support and tried the performace test after going to econfig.exe I have also forced an update ,twice, to the net 7 proxy to no avail. I have also restarted my computer to no avail. I can log into Net 7 with one account but now not with the other one. If you email me, I will give you my user name and password for each account. This was sent to cdev. Also, what is the default lanucher that this error message relates to? ghent96
Your first problem is that you're trying to be a Multi. Please don't. Just enjoy 1 account, and playing 1 character at a time with your fellow EnB'ers. Mult'ing imo, ruins games. It's hard to say without your crash log what's causing the real problem. Does this message occur from our launcher?

What is the path to your enb game client? (in full please) However, if you're getting to user name and password in-game, then that's not a crash from LaunchNet7, that's a crash in the game itself. sirmorte
I just installed the game and patch as directed when I started playing. Since I am NOT computer friendly, How would I know how to find the path for my enb game client? Please be specific since I am a computer idiot? If you mean the actual Enb short cut, it says:https://forum.enb-emulator.com I also went to the Enb files and found this , if it is any help:C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Earth & Beyond The net 7 launcher has this path:C:\NET7\NET7\bin\LaunchNet7.exe This starts in net7/net7/bin Also, I have been playing this game on this computer for a while. This all started to happen right have the last server downtime about a day ago. Note: I have been using the same username and password for over a month with no problem. Now I suddenly am confronted with an invalid log in and asked to use the default launcher. All this happened since the last server downtime. If you installed to the default, it would be C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Earth & Beyond\release\client.exe of course substituting C for another drive letter if you do any other as the default. Look at the top of the launcher where it says Client and tell me what it says. This looks like:

C Del[IS]
I can't find where this error is coming from. It's not in the server and it's not in the proxy; it must be some client code, which makes it quite hard to determine exactly why it's happening. Make sure you're running the launcher as an administrator; this might happen when the launcher can't patch some client file.
sirmorte
I always run the program as administrator by right clicking the Net7 proxy and choose "run as administrator". I am clicking on the net7 shortcut. Is this wrong?
Kyp [LDEV]
I always run the program as administrator by right clicking the Net7 proxy and choose "run as administrator". You don't launch Net7Proxy. You should launch using the LaunchNet7.exe, it should in turn launch the proxy.
sirmorte
I have always been launching on the ne7 short cut on my desk top, which I believe is the launchnet7. exe. Also, I am finding that using a different computer gives me the same "I'm sorry, unable to validate your log in inforation." Can you try using my user name and password that I sent you Kyp and C Del on your computer. I can't assess the game. Maybe I need to totally delete all files and start again, as much as I don't want to do that. To have this problem on two different computers is very odd. There must be something on the server side that is causing this problem. Good news: the passcodes that you sent me worked. However, why my old password won't work on both my computers is a quandary. Something happened due to the last server downtime. I believe it was a server issue.
