Mistoffeles
Hi, not sure exactly where to put this so it's going here. I am finding the new database that was put in since yesterday rather frustrating for a few reasons: 1) Only contains items now, the old one had almost everything, and better search options; 2) The item details transparent pop-up is difficult to read because of the transparency; and 3) When you do a search and then click on an item to see its details, then click on a link for example for the next upgrade of that item, the transparent window starts to cycle through all of the iterations of that item rapidly. This is extremely annoying.
Slayerman
1) Only contains items now, the old one had almost everything, and better search options; This is only phase 1 - you can still visit http://enbdatabase.net-7.org to see the old one 2) The item details transparent pop-up is difficult to read because of the transparency as the old database. What browser are you using? this is using the same level of transparency 3) When you do a search and then click on an item to see its details, then click on a link for example for the next upgrade of that item, the transparent window starts to cycle through all of the iterations of that item rapidly. This is extremely annoying. It shouldn't do, can you reproduce this all the time? Again, what browser are you using? I tested this on BOTH IE8 and Firefox 3 and 4 beta. Lot
FWIW what the OP describes also happens to me using Firefox 3.6.8. Search and find an item or items and click an item to open the item window. Close the item window and search for some other items and .... the item window pops up again showing the original item that was viewed. This can happen while typing in a new word to search for. Get a new list of results and click an item and the item window shows the original item. Then a moment later the item window changes to another item. If a lot of items have been clicked on, the item window scrolls through them all one by one. The item window has a mind of it's own. Close it and it re-opens itself. It shows whatever item it feels like showing you.
C Del[IS]
I have seen the item window re-open itself directly after being closed, and it seems to lag when you select an item after having already selected one. I'm using Chrome 5.0. Confirmed still an issue with Chrome 6.0 Edited September 4, 2010 by C Del

bondct
lrn2use your computer and IE is da best... imo anything else is for amateurs... although admitedly... you do need a 2nd pc running FF to view porn on... gotta give FF props on porn viewing and not screwing up your machine... but is not being able to hit random porn sites that live to attack your pc really an IE downfall? Tyran
is not being able to hit random porn sites that live to attack your pc really an IE downfall? Talking about porn is punishable by galactic law. (insert carebear police emoticon) But really, wtf are you doing hitting random sites? (insert carebear police emoticon) But really, wtf are you doing hitting random sites? Unless ofcourse, monsieur has pathological fetishes you would be amazed at how many pc's that I go to repair (even work pc's) are so bogged down with nonsense from porn sites... from my experience (your mileage may vary) porn sites are way up there on the list of how people screw up their pc... and of course they always deny it... lol oh and in my travels... and ull get a kick outta this... I have seen porn sites based on The Sims... people are strange to say the least...
Slayerman
Ok, Ive seen this now.... How strange, doesn't happen all the time... Will work in fixing this. Thanks
Slayerman
I'm hoping i have now sorted this. Tester please. new version uploaded to the site. Please let me know of any more problems.
Lot
It seems better now. Item window is showing the item you wanted to look at instead of a random item that you had previously looked at. Also, the item window used to re-open itself and it no longer does this either. The item window used to scroll through all the items that you had looked at before and it no longer does this either. Thumbs up emoticon. Slayerman
Good stuff I just need to know what was the next most useful part of my database so i can integrate that next. Mob Search Sector Mob Search NPC Search Manufacture Search Buff Search
C Del[IS]
Working great for me so far; no more problems with re-appearing detail windows. Suggestions: Have item details window abort loading when / if the user clicks search again. ORDER BY drop-down boxes. Keep up the good work. Lot
Good stuff I just need to know what was the next most useful part of my database so i can integrate that next. Mob Search Sector Mob Search NPC Search Manufacture Search Buff Search Top on my personal list would be sector mob search i.e. select a sector and search it and get a list of all the mobs in that sector shown with what they drop. I probably used this option the most on the older database site. Mob search was the 2nd most used option I used. Next most useful or 3rd: buff search. The other two I hardly ever used i.e. manufacture and NPC search, well manufacture almost never and NPC search on rare occasions.
Slayerman
Have item details window abort loading when / if the user clicks search again. Not as easy as you think as its using asynchronous JavaScript (Ajax), but will look in to it.. ORDER BY drop-down boxes. No way of specifying priority of the drop down fields to order by, i can add another field to choose order by priority. If you care to elaborate more, i will see what i can do. Keep up the good work. Thanks, i will
Fatheroruckus
Same priorities listed by Lot, for the same reasons. The old DB seems to be down as of today, so do what you can to get this one fully functional, as time and circumstance permit. Great job, keep it up. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. >thumbs up emoticon<
Slayerman
I will fix the old one asap when I can get to my pc.. Most of the things are already there I think... Lol Updates have been added recently...
