  1. Probably because weekends are a freetime for devs, too, and this is when they can play with code for the server. Patience, Young Jedi...
  2. you fixed it right away with a restart -- forgive me for not getting back to this.
  3. Server just came back up and I see 0 online. Just tried to log my two working accounts on and neither will logon. TWitcher and Reava are blackholed in Paramis now, but were not when I first logged them on. Twitcher was able to leave Paramis and I took her back there when I realized something was wrong with Reava. (Darn that drive to confirm information...) They are both stuck there now. A guildie, Whale, got locked up in QAR, and finally could not log that account on anymore. Reava's vault showed probably 97% of the items lacking graphics with the number of items in those slots still apparent. Probably an inability to connect to the database. Just a wild guess. I did not check Twitcher's vault.
  4. Wow - so sorry to hear of your loss. I didn't know his toon, but I've seen him in general chat. I hope you can play EnB again. Somehow, I think he would have wanted it that way.
  5. It is a great way to make a builder, and it is what I did with my TT and my PT. But it is not a great way to make a battle TT. All your skill points go into builds and negotiate, and leveling a toon with little in the way of guns and shields is very hard. Better to go battle and then up builds. It's a far faster way to max out a toon.
  6. I try to make mine quite different. But I do have another question. You guys have been great at making sure names are kidfriendly. But now we have an influx of Hos. Stashho, Wormho, etc. And gee -- they're all women. Now if they made these toons men, I might not be offended. But the bigger issue is modeling behavior for children. Now we got Hos in the game, and most know exactly what this means, and if not, they will work to discover the meaning. We also have a Mofo -- short for what? You guys do what you want. If that's the way it's going to be -- so be it. I just know what I shielded my kids from...
  7. Okay - tell me how to get copies to you. I will find the other two discs.
  8. yea - old crap on disc. just found a disc named enbfiles 3 which means I have two more discs some place. From 2004. I took all the enb files in the program folder and saved them to disc. This means any windows aspects are missing (i.e. any windows folder files), but I have the rest. My attitude is always, "You never know..." Perhaps the Devs did the same...
  9. I tried to attach a picture of how Arduinne was, but didn't make it work. geesh
  10. I think you are right. But one thing I don't see happening in here like it was in live is the huge advantage Jennies had with their low sig. I had so much fun skirting on the edge of the sig range. I could dance around the manes. That was part of the fun.
  11. It's an interesting idea, and worth throwing out there. I think you'd hear most screaming for bigger cargo holds. Another problem could be captivating beginners. (Perhaps capturing them, enthralling them, and keeping them is a better description.) If you are not familiar with the game, it throws another monkey wrench in. I already spend time outfitting newbies with "starter sets" in order to make that first time easier. I often throw in a mil to lessen the grind. It might work if the ships could somehow be reconfigured to provide a dedicated space for "gas." It would also provide a market for gas, and that might not be a bad thing. It could promote interaction, and a better support network amongst players. Maybe one of the hull upgrades could include this feature. One where the player has gained some knowledge of the game and has some insight as to what's coming down the road. A possible problem could be further degradation of the current playerbase. Many major changes in live dropped too-big-a-percentage of the playerbase. Changes that have been done here seem to have caused the same thing. There are those that say it's summer - people play less in summer. Let's see if the numbers increase when autumn rolls around. But hey - it's winter in Australia? Do the numbers. When you implement a change, watch how it impacts the playerbase. If it impacts it negatively, wrong direction. Without a playerbase there will be no game to change.
  12. Ummmm... Compared to the jenpie, they don't need 'em? I understand waiting for the code. I've kind of helped my problem along by multiboxing max jenpies. Two hens are a lot better than one.
  13. I had stated clearly that there was no need of me running around trying to win something that I could not win for a second round. I did not compete in the first round. Then it was announced that we could trade/sell what we won. I figured I would try with my TT so I could put it away for later. (10):19:56:35 Tasha: rules are simple (10):19:57:11 Tasha: 1st person to open a trade window with me will get choise of 1 Item (10):19:58:12 Tasha:, Ok , I go Hide The above was the one rule for winning. Then came the second round (10):21:10:59 Tasha:ok .. I have a Hellbore and a let me look , 1 sec , a Eoff and a reaver , you can choose 1 and if you cant use .. you can sell .. 1 Item .. 1 winner .. (10):21:15: 0 Tasha: whoever asked for the level 5 Duct Tape .. Sorry but I space anything that is not level 9 , but you can sell or Trade anything I give out and in the end.... (10):22:19:39 Tasha:.. Guys .. I need to do this right its a uber weapon , Please leave area if you cant use Hellbore I got the feeling someone was having a few beers. Limiting one-time items to only those who could use them was unfair to all unless it was done so in the beginning. The whining dude? I saw only one person whiiiiiiiiining in here and that person was whiiiiiiiiiiiiining about people not liking being jerked around. And we were jerked around. Like dogs being led around with a piece of liver. *shiver* I myself will take a wide berth around any of these contests in the future. I just want to have fun playing, not being led by mindgames. I saw the power. I don't want to get anywhere near it.
  14. Hahahaha - wow, dishes; laundry; and how did that bunch of rotten bananas get there? Downtime is a GOOD thing.
  15. Absolutely nothing has changed on my end. I am working two different computers with two different accounts and two different operating systems. Nothing wrong on my end.
  16. I'm a bit confused here. Notifier says offline, people say online and others say they can't log in. Mine does say "Offline." Is it offline? And thanks so much for all the uptime. And perhaps I should add that login has been a little more problematic since last patch. Not anything I couldn't resolve at the time, but still problematic.
  17. I used to know quite a bit about literal copyright. I've forgotten most of what I learned. Digital copyright is a different animal than literal. Someone brought the fact that people sold high-end items looted in the game on Ebay. Now - that is most likely a huge copyright infringement and worries me. I did see items being sold on Ebay just by chance when it EnB was live, and, wow, what can I say... Talk about ruining a game... So if you couldn't afford to pay $s for items to facilitate play you couldn't play a game? Give me a break. Are there going to be any guidelines restricting the actual sale of high-end items outside the game?
  18. I spend a lot of time searching for items to flesh out my TT’s build list. In doing so I’ve noticed some peculiar things about just how long you have to wait for certain loot to drop. Now my observations are based on a fairly short period of time. I joined the Emulator stress test after ST3 started, and not too too long before the wipe made necessary by the database corruption in ST3. Loot appears to be cyclical. When a certain set of loot appears from mobs I am hunting, I know enough to go away wait for a few hours or days to hope for what I want to drop. I know, at some locations, that this thing, that thing, etc. dropping at the time pretty much guarantees I will not see what I came for in the loot drops. I’ve been sitting on Gupta for way too long waiting for the titan’s heart to drop. I picked up several cfe’s in succession and then crystal dynamos started dropping. Fiiiiiiinally after several hours and getting to the point I was nearly drooling on my keyboard from fatigue, the titan’s dropped. I'd sit on Gupta again to confirm the cyclical nature of drops, but it just ain't fair to others for me to hog that location. Besides... this could be something you already know. Does this bother me in particular? No. I just thought I would bring it to someone’s (anyone’s) attention in case it should not be so.
  19. Hahaha - yea. but I thought I detected a different issue other than server shutdown. He has login crash after Megan, and that is a typical Vista issue (for some renditions) or Windows 7, unchecked Win XP problem. The vista issue on some computers was not resolved by the time I upgraded to Win 7. There was absolutely nothing I could do to correct things on my Vista desktop in order to make enb run. Was almost like there was a "missing bridge" between Megan and the character database - a missing piece, so to speak. So you'd get to Megan, wave at her, put in your login password, and warp directly to desktop. Do not pass go and never get to toon-choice screen.
  20. Just checking to see if you have windows xp compatibility checked in your properties for net7, enb, etc. What is your os? And finally - did you get in yet?
  21. No, Amythyst, you were already there. You were there, first. What I said stands. You took what you needed, and we just happened to need those nice building ores. After thinking about it, I did realize that I was there to do almost the same thing with the exception that I would have emptied the roids. But it wouldn't have made a difference if I had emptied the asteroids! The field would still have taken its sweet old time to respawn, and I was making a set of shields for which I had to make the parts. After thinking it over, it was more a problem for me that you got there first. See? I'm being honest. I would have emptied the roids, you took what you needed along with all the high level roids and left the stripped roids. Neither would have made a difference when it came to the length of time it takes to respawn a field. Neither of us went there with the intent to clear the field. But neither of us had large enough holds to finish off the fields. Together we might have done it, but I didn’t ask you to do so. I mentioned you in general chat when you were stripping the roids, so that is in my chat log. No need to resolve anything between us. We’re okay.
  22. Not true, Amethyst. My entire response was based on crossing paths with you. Although I did not speak to you, I do have documentation. But read what I said before you jump on this response.
