  1. Open a cmdtool window and type ipconfig.  It will tell you what internal IP address your router uses under "Default Gateway":   Say your Linksys router internal IP address is 192.168.1.1 (the default), then bring up IE, Chrome or Firefox and put that IP address in the address field. If you have not changed it, the default login info is:   User name: <blank> Password: admin   If you have changed it, and don't remember what it is, then use a paper clip and push it into a hole in the back of the router to reset it to factory defaults.   After you have logged in, click the Status tab, you will see something like the following:   Firmware Version:  1.0.30 build 126544 2011-12-24 02:40          Hope this helps
  2. The devs are fixing it, or at least discussing among themselves how to fix it.   See this post, and Zackman's answer that follows:   https://forum.enb-emulator.com/index.php?/topic/9192-att-everyone-having-gatectd-issues-tso-settings/#entry79826
  3. I have only 1 question for you: How much money do you have?   Last I checked, someone posted he needed 300MM to go through the back door for 1 toon (reactor).   With that said, I understand why you want to do Agrippa: You have nothing left to do in the game :-)  You will either enjoy it or curse it.   Me?  I am currently stopped at Stage II: Out of money, so will need to grind some more.
  4. Mea culpa, did skim through the Patch Notes, but did not pay attention :-)
  5. So you can fly around now?  Problem solved then.  The fix is just to delete the character/toon and re-start a new one.
  6. Shooting in the dark, but it may help us if you post the followings:   - OS version - Screenshot of the net-7 launcher window. - What Anti Virus, and did you include the EA Games folder in the exclusion list.   [EDIT] I forgot the firewall.  Zackman may know better, but how about the ports that your firewall blocks/opens.  Dunno if it comes into play, since if you are kicked back into Megan after the blue screen, it means that client-server handshake has failed.
  7.   That's because someone may have kited him into the gate.
  8. Seconded.  Also I would like to have an option to sign out of the roleplay channel.  As currently, I am forced to see those messages whether I like them or not.
  9. Patch happens around 2PM Pacific time   Also what do you get if you do this in a cmdtool window:   % ping -f -l 1472 sunrise.net-7.org   If it is successful, your network is OK, and the problem lays elsewhere.   Here is what I get from where I am   P:\>ping -f -l 1472 sunrise.net-7.org Pinging sunrise.net-7.org [74.208.192.215] with 1472 bytes of data: Reply from 74.208.192.215: bytes=1472 time=68ms TTL=110 Reply from 74.208.192.215: bytes=1472 time=67ms TTL=110 Reply from 74.208.192.215: bytes=1472 time=67ms TTL=110 Reply from 74.208.192.215: bytes=1472 time=68ms TTL=110 Ping statistics for 74.208.192.215:     Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:     Minimum = 67ms, Maximum = 68ms, Average = 67ms
  10. If you can't login, chances are you have "Lock Port" checked.  The new patch require that:   - All LHS boxes checked - All RHS boxes cleared   on the Net-7 launcher window,
  11. 2 things come to mind:   - Disable IPv6 in your windows Network configuration - Last week introduced a new patch that causes problem for everyone.  The workaround is to:   (1) Check all 4 boxes on the Left Hand Side of the Net7 Launcher app (2) Clear all 4 boxes on the Right Hand Side of the Net7 launcher.   (3) Also it may help with this post from Zackman:   https://forum.enb-emulator.com/index.php?/topic/9192-att-everyone-having-gatectd-issues-tso-settings/   Also today is patch day, and this issue may go away altogether.   Hope this helps, and welcome back!!!!!   [EDIT] Ah last but not least, make sure you log into the sunrise server, not the devs' server (Thanks dgvol)
  12. I normally go Plasma for bio mobs and Chem for mechanical mobs with hulls.   For Plasma and explosive, I use a JE for debuff.  As long as the PW/TE deals a lot of damage, the mob would concentrate on the PW instead of the JE.  Of course it happened more than once that the TE was too far from the mob, and the result was a dead JE!!!! :-)   I have not used impact that much.  Also note that some high level mobs are highly resistant to plasma or chem, in which case debuffers are a must, IMHO.
  13. Agree wrt iPhone vs tablet. most of the problem I have is to move windows around.
  14. IPv6 should be disabled as per another thread from Zackman.   (Few installations outside Japan use IPv6)
  15. I have tried it on my iPhone.  There are a lot of problems we have to sort out before we can say it is working. For a start, I think Disable Mouse Lock must be unchecked, or you will lose keyboard focus (Hit ESC result in bringing up the Windows Start Menu instead).
  16. If you box a lot, a TS is essential, IMHO, as group leader.  The afterburner & Scan skill are a must, since you have to do everything by yourself.  Also the Null-Factor shield is a valuable tool when you have to fight in Gravity fields.   A JT will be good for RAID with your guild, but if you box and fight alone with your own group, since you have TE & TT already, be aware that the JT cannot contribute DPS-wise in a kite formation using missiles, and you already have a healer in the TT.  A TS would serve you better.   As Terrans, kiting is your race advantage.  Kiting in the EMU works differently than in Old Live because mobs in the EMU are generally faster, much faster than in Old Live.  In old Live, you can probably kite most lv 50  Voltois in Antares with a lv4 Solar Sail - and facing the mob to boot -, but in the EMU, you either have to use higher level engines (and thus have less SPs for other skills), or rely on the TS as formation leader to provide the extra speed necessary to kite a high level mob.   If you plan to use your PW as  your DPS dealer, then yes, you don't need a TS at all, since you will be facing your target most of the time.   Last but not least, if you want to do Agrippa, you have to have a PP (Privateer), or know someone that have one.
  17. Cut the devs some slack please.  We don't have a rigourous test team like an established game shop does, and everything must be done in trial-and-errors, since we don't have the client source codes.  I am confident the SDevs will fix it!!!!     For now I just gate my toons one at a time!
  18. I may want to give this a try.  Does it work on iPhone (I know the screen may be too small).  Too bad my work disallow VNC, so I can't use the company NW (even during lunch time), only my iPhone would work.   [EDIT] Just watch the videos, and it was indeed on an iPhone.   So I have to install the app on my home comp, then access it using an app for the iPhone?  Do I have to install VNC SW on my home desktop?   [EDIT2] Just visit the app web site.  Will try it today when I got home.
  19.     I am not a devs and have not seen the codes, but it seems that accessing the login server is a must-do thing during sector changes.  I know from reading the dev posts that the client encrypt the messages to the server and decrypt the messages coming from the server.  That would require a re-handshake of the server encryption key every time the client gates/WH/dock/undock.   In brief, I believe the devs were aware of the problem, but could not find a solution around that.
  20. I agree with Matt 100% on the merit of Negociate vs Shield Charge.  I would max my TT's Negociate first before anything, as money is very important for Terran (because of the huge ammo cost).
  21. It is bad to test it now, because there are new problems introduced with yesterday's patch.  Just make sure that you check all LHS boxes and uncheck all RHS boxes in the launcher.
  22. This is no technical support issue, this is a bug report :-)   Joking aside, I have had the same issues.  The only combination that works for me is:   Enable all of the left hand side boxes ("Prototype Reorder",  "Packet Optimization",  "Disable Mouse Lock", "Delete TH6 Files")   Disable all of the right hand side boxes ("Local Cert", "Debug Launch", "Lock Port")   With that set up, I was able to login, but there are still 2 issues:   1. Group Leader gates fine most of the time. I still have an occasional hang while gating, single or group gating.  However, I believe it has about the same rate of hanging (or CTM) as before yesterday's patch.   2. During group gating, only the leader seems to gate correctly.  All other members have the following issues: - It gates alright, but it is not in formation with the leader - It gates to the target sector, but is far away from the leader/gate.   I believe if issue #2 is fixed, I can live with it.   The workaround I have now is to gate each toon individually (Warp in group, but gate one by one).   As I mentioned in the bug report I submitted, I don't know if issue #2 is due to boxing.  Someone, say a guild, should test this with different players.
  23. WIth Packet reorder checked LOcked port unchecked   SIngle toon gating works fine.  Form-gating has problem, one or more form member got hung in galactic map, or end up randomly in the target map.
  24. OK, I give up, I can login into the game, but gating got hung in the blue galactic map, and sometimes when it works, land me in weird places, instead of at the gate.   Will check back tomorrow when the devs have a chance to debug it.
  25. I have tried with the Protocol Check, and Lock Port Unchek, and game is hanging all over the place during gating.   Will try different combinations :-(
