Don't be sorry.  It is just a sore subject.  Sorry you were not around for the first, second, third....two hundredth thread, on the non existent cherry picking.  Funny how something that does not exist has a name, description and we all know what it is.   It is aggravating to get to a picked over field.     My motto "can't beat em...join em" you could become the best non existent cherry picker out there. In fact get so good at it they might change the name from Cherry picked field to ..."That field has been Tree/Cad'ed"

Johnsilver   I'm thinking life is way too short to mess with this.  I was holding off to do the Agrippa missions as well, but I think that if the mission steps themselves are as cryptic as the whole mission seems to be... I pass.     Back burner the missions and start to enjoy the game again before you rage quit doing a non-required mission.       This is my recommendation to you. 

I assume all, but someone said just a few min. ago that claw and zet? is fixed for sure.  I will check longbow to see if new made is fixed.  Now for my whine of the day... "but but but... i HAVE  many many many pre-made ammo stacks that are all set to the vendor damage" /end whine

Here is the 2nd Video of my playing around.  I need to remember that the fields do not auto select the keyboard (even though it is selected in the setup).  Also the fumbling around is mostly me...holding my cell phone, recording and trying to play the game.     As soon as a correct screen size is found I think this will be VERY playable.  What is cool is that the screen can be expanded (size by the two finger re-size) and any item that can be selected is still active.  Chat comes to mind, or that hard to tap roid.   Anyway here is video #2.   Demo 2    Oh yes...again IE to view...and sorry for the background TV sounds.  I was sitting away from the main computer to play without the tempting mouse.

It seems there has been some discussion this morning about some? Player made ammo having the same stats as vendor ammo.  Is this by design or a "oops"?    

Correct me if I am wrong but.. In EA Live wasn't there a chance of a pop rock or pop hulk spawning a mob that would stay with you and actually fight with you until you gated?  I may have confused this with another game. but I do seem to remember something like that one and only one time way back when.

Is your keyboard USB? Do you have any other USB devices attached? If so remove ALL but your keyboard and mouse, do a shutdown and restart (Not a reboot).  See if you are still having the issue.  If not start plugging in your other devices one by one. If all get plugged in with no issue you fixed it. It sounds like one or more of your USB devices is sending bogus info that is being interpreted as keyboard data.   Just a thought

On the surface it sounds like a good idea, but I see many issues without even trying.  In no particular order, These would have to be generated and kept track of for each player.Let's say we only use 5 jobs...* the possible max players of 500 (you need to account for everyone even though we know not everyone will be doing them at the same time) This would be over 2500 jobs in the server Q at any given time.   If the player CTD's or logs off the missions/jobs go poof? Keep thinking out of the box, but this one is a bit more work than it will save in issues.     Note: These opinions are solely my own and in no way reflect the opinions of the powers that be. 

  Here is a link to a REALLY crappy video, I think I covered the password but oops if not.  When I get the ideal screen size/keyboard figured out will post another.  As an after thought if anyone else feels like playing with this as well post away.  It would be interesting.   Oops---way big file will reduce 1st   I'm not sure why it didn't work with Chrome but it will display with Internet Explorer (or save as and play only ) .  The fumbling around is not the application but me not sure what I was doing.  There seems to be a slight delay with the cursor following the finger but I think that most was me.  

I found an interesting spin off of the more common VNC.  This application actually let me get in and play EnB on my Galaxy Tab 2.1 10 in. screen.  I was able to access the keyboard, in game maps etc. leave the base and gate to the next sector. Screen refresh looks very good.  I do need to play with screen resolution a bit more to get it right.  I will upload a video (or link) when I get it more usable.   Here is the link to it.   http://www.splashtop.com/splashtop2   This may not be ideal for a raid but for trade jobs or even mining may be do-able.

While I don't do raids I am curious why any guilds would be reluctant to participate in a rotation? Wouldn't it cut down on Ksing, fights in game?, GM headaches?     And if the rotation were done correctly couldn't the rotation be such that the time of day for each raid be rotated as well?   This seems like a win win for all,   And if those that are running solo want to get together others of like mind, couldn't there be a set time for them as well?       Just sayin ...

As did mine .... In the late 60s early 70s :)   One suggestion...If you get in a position to HAVE to get it cut, try a short hair wig first.  I don't think you will ever regret not getting it cut.

Is there any way to mark all posts as read? There are so many new posts (to get the 6 needed to vote) I am wading through a ton o crap thinking there is actually something new to read.     Note: This may count as Mim's WHINE of the day.  

I agree with this post.     Just this morning I was in the grocery store, waiting to check out behind a shopping cart with only 4 items in it.  The people in front of that cart were almost done, I didn't see anyone else running to the apparent abandoned cart so I asked if it was their cart.  Their answer was "Oh we didn't want those items" I could have a.) Kept quiet and moved the cart, b.) Moved the cart and grumbled under my breath, or c.) Tell them it was unacceptable to just park a cart in the checkout isle with items in it.   I chose c.  They bought the items rather than put them back or move the cart out of the check out lane.     The moral is; Speak out when it is needed.  Being one of the grumbling masses and not voicing your opinion does nothing to further the game nor your sense of well being.     P.S. Care must be taken to not be called a whiner when voicing your opinion.  I (when I play) reserve the right to have one whine per day.  These usually are met with laughter and or the odd occasional agreement.

Wow, topics really do get hijacked.  The topic was...If someone other than a GM or Dev asks you to use the "appropriate" channels go ahead and call them what you will but move the conversation to an appropriate channel.     Sorry you go banned for cussing  I have seen many cuss words slip and no ban so there must have been quite a string of them for you to get banned.  You didn't say if you were asked to tone it down by a GM prior to your banning but I suspect you were and either ignored that gentle prod or lashed back at the GM.     One more thing.  GMs are not usually Devs.  

Here are my takes on current events:   Having just gone through a terrifying 3 months in RL I see the game in a new light/perspective.  As a "Zen miner" (always did like the sound of that) I read the forums when I can...even if I don't get to get into the game as much as I would like.  The guards at the various ore fields only were an annoyance to me before the attempt to curb botting.   What I did with my new found perspective was make a public comment, stating what about it was upsetting to me and then PM a Dev with a possible solution or two to fix the problem of botters without killing the fun for all.     As I remember in "EA Live" there was a timer on jobs, you could take a handful, (helped if you had a WHer with you) do those jobs and return...more times than not there would be a wait for you to be able to take any additional jobs.  Jobs were to me never an end all beat all to level my characters in game.  I used them as a top off ex/faction or to pass the time with some friends in game while doing daily RL tasks.   The moral of this post is... State your issue in a public forum without trying to piss off the Devs, then PM them your solutions. You notify the public at large of an issue and by PMing the Devs, if your idea for a fix is used it won't be known about before "the fix is in". <- That too makes me chuckle.   Oh...one more point...Whining is fun... I try to keep my whining public and in game...also only one per day and labeled as such.    Mimir's Whine of the day: Whining makes me feeeeel goood!

While I applaud the end result of such a programming effort, I don't quite understand the reason to go to all that trouble to not play a game that you are playing?  And it isn't really PvP any longer is it? It is Player v Macro...so end result it is as if there were no PvP at all.   I'm Sooooooooooooooo confused.
