  1. Once ST3 is ended, you can save time by using the starship creator to make your chars until you can log on. David has suggested that DNS propogation will need to take place before you will be able to log on: "We will be then bringing up the ST4 on a new server on Monday once all of the DNS servers have updated to the new IP address." This should happen fairly quickly as the TTL is 1hour. What has not been said however, is at what time will ST4 be ready on the new server, so we will just have to wait and see.
  2. That's not a curse, this is a curse: May you poo hedgehogs for a month.
  3. Damit, somebody interjected the comedic flow!
  4. I think bugged toon is out as it happens on all toons I log on 4 accounts. System spec is probably out because it happens on both computers here, one laptop on wifi, the other a HTPC on cable. The only common denominators between the two are AVG 9 and Vista. Connection / gateway: There may be a point here. What I will do next is run some tests at a friends house to see if the same results are observed.
  5. What makes this particular example annoying is that it routes differently in each direction
  6. The options are set as stated and yes, this only occurs when AFK, usually within a few minutes.
  7. This is a very strange issue and has taken many weeks of observation to draw any conclusions. When I AFK, typically (not exlusively) in a starbase the client will appear to 'black hole' whereby I cannot interact with things such as mfr terms, vendors etc. If I try to leave the starbase I cannot get to the sector (map screen forever) so I have to kill and restart. On restarting, I arrive in the target sector. Also, when this behaviour occurs, if I write text in Local, Broadcast etc, my text is seen to other players but I do not see it in those channels myself. Similarly incoming tells are not received, but they are transmitted from the sender with no error. Now, if I AFK with all the chat channels switched on, I am less likely to crash in this way as the amount of waffle is generally sufficient to maintain responsiveness. But in times of quietude this behaviour will become more pronounced.
  8. Marco stated in the Timeline post that a wipe would be 'soon' but as yet this is unconfirmed so please do not assume this to be the case.
  9. They didn't register country specific domains, just .net .com I think.
  10. Like this? Celestial Warder, Arduinne cloud
  11. Ok it's a dev gate, thanks for that. It would be incredible fun, for future to hide gates to new places though
  12. Anyone know anything about this hidden gate in Lagarto?

    keymap.ini

*kicks up the flamethrower* When you change the control keys in game, it writes the config back to keymap.ini When you patch the client, keymap.ini gets restored. A batch file is a nice idea but not entirely necessary in this case. Another option is to > CTRL+Lclick then drag to "Output" See screenie.
  14. What Whitelighter is referring to could be resolved with a community rep. I'm not sure what became of Ayusaki but those shoes could be filled again.
  15. Since when was that link the official site of this project? And, you state "It's back up and running for free" Well that's wrong too, this is an emulator project so please don't disrespect it by pretending it's a free game that's all there for the taking.
  16. Mneme it would appear you have something to share, please share it.
  17. And you say you have no time to contribute to this project?
  18. I may be able to contribute hosting for this, to avoid adverts etc.
  19. You would not be recreating or competing with enbdatabase, the wiki would augment it. Here comes another example: http://wiki.aodevs.com/wiki/Rare_Nanos This is a wiki for Anarchy Online, and this particular section contains good info and links through to a database at auno.org. The enbdatabase doesn't contain the kind of info that the wiki would; drop location, screenshots, tactics for kills, raid information, spawn times etc. As well as general stuff like guilds, in game commands, Howto's for configuration etc Also you could never spoil the game by having too much information, reading the guides and articles is always optional!
  20. You already mentioned that some of the vendors tell you the component level in the chat dialogue. I think that this is best solution all round, and the Cdev's probably have it in their to do lists to complete all the dialogues to this standard. This standard also reduces server load as the component list does not have to be transmitted to your client. It would be difficult or impossible to make client changes, which is what would be required to put flags up etc.
  21. Observations: i) 3Kg is a *%&^(£& big chicken. ii) Stuffed? This will affect R and inertial result. iii) If nobody is there to observe, who will know whether the Hurtgen Forest populace will care or not? iv) Supposition of the existence of extra terrestrial chickens is fowl play.
