1. That sounds odd. No experience of OS X but have done the setup on linux. The ENB installer opens the fileplanet link through a browser on the linux desktop for me. What is it doing on your setup? The same or trying to open iexplorer.exe? Is there any log output from wineskin you can check see whats going on?
2.
I see... You could ask the person who was recruited, who recruited them. Just a thought.
Obviously, that happens but its not foolproof. The recruitee could forget, could <shock> lie, or not be online to be asked. It would be helpful to add the recruiters name to the guild message. Not as useful as data logging recruitment on the portal would ultimately be, it is still incongruous that the guild message for recruitment is missing the recruiters name.
3.
When you recruit someone it does tell them who is recruiting them...
Obviously, it is the other message that we'd like changed i.e. the one that appears as a chat message to all guild members in the same color as the guild chat channel. It says who was recruited but not by whom.
4. Would it be possible to add to the portal Guild -> My Guilds -> <guildname> a new tab that showed a data log for recruitment? Showing something like name of character recruited, date and time the character was recruited and who recruited the character. A month worth of history would be ideal. Access to admiral rank only. At Static we have stict rules on recruitment and we like to keep a watchful eye on who is coming in to the guild. It is quite a chore at the moment to keep track with so we would be quite grateful if this feature could be added to the portal. Sidenote: If the in-game recruited message could be changed to show the name of the recruiter that would be splendid too! Thanks for reading this suggestion.

%systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts Can you could try adding entries in that file ^^ temporarily, for example the following: 74.208.192.215 play.net-7.org sunrise.net-7.org www.net-7.org 74.208.132.71 patch.enbemulator.com That ought to do the trick for the launcher and the proxy, if they're having fun times trying to resolve the names. And get you access to the portal again.
6. Did you move items to mule using the account vault transfer? There is a problem that makes items disappear if the mule existed before the wipe - when the mule is logged in for the first time its data is wiped ... so you'd lose everything moved to it through the account vault transfer. If you moved the items ingame crashes have been making stuff disappear for everyone. Except I think its more a case of broken architecture somewhere not the crashes fault because you can move items around and be standing idle inside a station for a few minutes before a crash and items disappear.
7. Depends on your definition of a fat wallet. I have a scout that enjoyed the debris yet only has 1.4M credits @ OL65ish. Devaluing the credit value of debris would make the chore of picking it out of hulks at 150 even more onerous. You'd have that anchor dragging on your play time and also be getting fewer credits for being a nice miner and bothering to take the debris. Oh wait, it would just be another reason not to mine the debris. It is a little appreciated fact of an economy that to have one you need credits to spend within the economy. Too often we see players saying what amounts to fewer credits equating to a better economy. Sorry does not compute. I don't doubt that an explorer that sold everything they got from either prospecting or combat looting would be richer than my scout. I've tended to put loot away for my other characters to print for recipes. However, any profession that takes the net approach of absolutely making credits will do just that. And the credits explorers may get from debris at their present value is a small drop in that possible ocean of income.
8. Yes L1 Debris is a quick and easy route to trade levels for new explorers. Time-for-time comparing a non-explorer to an explorer I would estimate explorers get 50% more trade levels in the same amount of playing time. If an explorer actively goes after every drop of debris before the fall off at around T25 they benefit greatly. Both non-explorer and explorer take advantage of double trade XP trading debris and loot with another player character. However at the other end of the trade spectrum when debris is worthless for trade XP it becomes an abhorrent chore to strip that debris out of hulks. Non-explorers are still getting loot that is worth something in trade XP. Explorers just an anchor dragging on their play time. May be in the full picture it balances out at the end and may be nothing is broken.
9. The calculations from the AB buff may be bogus in they way they are calculated. For example the warp bonus is calculated as a percentage of ONLY the engine warp speed and ignores benefits from equipment and skills. Probably the same is going on with thruster speed and the other stats that AB is supposed to improve. In short: we are not getting the full deal. May be the AB percentage should be being applied to the full value not just whatever the engine stats happen to be. For 10 points may be 5% should actually mean 5%.
10. The AB skill is like every other skill you prioritise how you want to spend skill points. Because it is percentage based at low levels the benefits don't seem all that great but there are still benefits nontheless. As you get better skills and tech levels the benefits increment up. Some will take the choice to put in a few points to begin with. By 150 it is definitely worth investing all the points for a maxed out AB skill. Show me a scout that is not obsessed with speed eventually - they get a religious experience with AB.
11. Castagere was referring to the difference in mob behavior between live 2002-2004 and the emulator, those are the changes.
12. No Zackman the issue has always been known about, I have a feeling it may have been talked about before too. Try to remember that some players will always want to be first to OL150 and that other players with uber equipped 150s still play new characters too and have experienced this issue and knew about it. Not everyone is out there trying to reach OL150 and get uber equipment inside a week, or even a month, they settle for getting there eventually. The exceptions are never the rule. I am afraid you developers are getting biased and may be there is a little bit of this "mob altrusim" affecting your own collective judgment. If you asked me how long I expect it will take me to reach OL150 for the first time, to get all my characters back to OL150, get back most of the uber items that I used to have, get back most of the recipes the answer is: A VERY LONG TIME INDEED! Several months up to a year. in the meantime, there is still this issue with mobs ganging up on me! Especially those Chavez. Organics do it too!
13. Stanig the amount of signature does not matter high or low, players in live used to use their signature to attract mobs then back away and fight just those mobs that they could manage. All we request is that the agro communication gets switched off to allow players to play like that again. Players right now have to avoid the mob spawns that communicate agro as the player just becomes unfairly overwhelmed. Why have you got it in your head that players are looking for easy mode? All they want it a fair fight. Stop telling us we to group up too, that is not the answer.
14. I was not having much luck trying to obtain a cortex for my PPs HU30 mission on Dahin planet. And then wonders! One dropped! Then the server crashed omg. Scrabbled to the portal to check cargo and nooooooooo. <shakes fist then goes gaga and gets strapped into a white coat>
15. This issue does not get the complaints and attention it deserves. Why? Well that can be explained by players not really wishing to voice complaints and never posting about issues. And in game they often just go find the easy alternative instead. Mobs unresaonably ganging up? Ok, I am outta here -- I will go find mobs that are easier instead as I don't need the aggravation and bother of trying to defeat mobs that gang up on me. Players get their combat action elsewhere on mobs that are worthwhile to engage in combat with and the issue is not reported. But this is actually a huge problem in the game. There are so many spawns where if you go to attack a single mob using signature it still ends up in the sitatuation where every mob in the spawn eventually aggros on you. It is worse with the densely packed spawns multiple mobs. I think this altruism either needs turning off or toning it down perhaps making it a low random chance that altruism kicks in. Another bad side effect of the altruism are mobs that do not agress changing course towards mobs that are in combat with a player. These mobs close to point blank range of the mob that is in combat with their nose pointed at the mob. You can almost hear them saying to the mob thats fighting "are you in trouble do you need my help?". They do not agress on the player but look stupid all following around the mob that is fighting.
16. Its "logical" that a player engages a single mob in a fair fight and half a dozen other mobs get involved and interfere in the fight? It's "logical" that a solo player has overwhelming odds against them always? As Matsu points out, signature is meaningless in the current situation as high or low every mob in a spawn comes and attacks anyway. Only signature should affect how many mobs are drawn to a player.
17. I am not a fan of the communicated agro on mobs in the emulator. Should be able to use signature and approach a mob, attract its attention and pull back bringing just the single mob. Instead the mob communicates with every other mob within shouting range and they all proceed to attack. There were groups of two mobs sometimes that you couldn't help pull both at the same time but they were linked together e.g. the 40-51 and 46-48 RD pairs at Hasters End in Inverness. Being mobbed by many mobs at the same time = not much fun. One on one fights agression controlled by player skill = much more fun. Wish it could be this way again.
18. Well cant believe everything you read in random search results on the internet. Dunno what that 22A was all about! Your research looks good. The PSU you've got should be able to handle your GPU card even perhaps allowing for Nvidia being optimistic about the power usage and may be it goes higher under load than 106W say 120-130W your PSU has margin enough. It explains why its worked until now but doesnt explain your recent problems. May be the PSU power output has fallen down for some reason and its safety features are kicking in? May be you could look at the PSU internally see if there any signs of damage but ofc be careful they are dangerous. At the end of the day only way to confirm if the PSU is a problem or not is to switch it with another.
19. Did not find a CM True Power but may be Real Power is the same PSU? Google came up with 16A peak output 60s on the +12V2 rail. The GTS 450 needs 22A? HDDs do not really use much power compared with a GPU card like the GTS 450. May be your PSU has been at the limit and is now breaking down if you have temporary access to a larger PSU you could test that see if that makes a difference before making any decisions.
20.
I'M at the lvl 10 hull upgrade mission and after reading this i don't even want to bother with it. At lvl 10 you should be able to do this solo. I'M so sick and tired of dev's making newbie mission near impossible to do alone. Whats the point of playing if you can't get past a newbie mission solo.
Having L2 shields, reactors and projectiles helps so does managing to single out the RD freighter on its own without any of its wingmen. You can get to the location of the freighter without going through the gravity field by warping to the right side of the map and then free warping to the location. But it is still easy to get into a bad situation having to tow and it may need 2-3 attempts to down the freighter. But once its done, its done. A much more difficult mission to solo is the PW build weapon mission or the Terran HU30 bonus mission.
21. Does that Antec PSU have enough amps on the +12v rail for the GTS 450? If it is an Antec 450 the current supply on either of the +12v rails may be less than what the GTS 450 may be drawing looking at a quick google search. May be worth checking into.
22. Drivers is one possibility, or may be component temperatures getting too high. May be hardware is failing? What was the stop code? Was it driver related?
23. Well, ok remember you did ask! Could Main -> Maps -> Avatar also get sorted A-Z too if the master account setting for A-Z is on? I am liking the A-Z on account vault transfer - the transfer utility is a great feature too that I am using more now than ever.
24.
There aren't max level or hull requirements on Agrippa Content any longer, as of Live.
Do my eyes and/or mind deceive me have I really read that? It might actually be happy days right now!
