There would be no good business reason to support a MMO with a player base of maybe a couple thousand users. That's not worth any company's time, let alone one the size of EA. This wasn't shut down to spite people, it would have been a business case decision. Plugging it back in 10 years later would make zero sense at all as it wouldn't even be noticed on the market (not that it was the first time either). If a MMO can't pull people from WoW, it's a waste of resources, and I think companies are going to clue into that at some point unless they can create a profitable game based on microtransactions. The amount of failed MMO's recently is amazing.

Getting this balanced is hard. In ST3, my spillover was from combat, as my TW was Cl 50 around OL125 or so. In ST4, my TT is spilling over trade, but at a MUCH faster rate than the TW was able to achieve. I can't speak to mining as that has zero appeal to me. Bringing explore and combat spillover in line with trade would be nice. A warrior shoudl never be running trade jobs to cap combat xp, that's just so wrong =/

Shrines similar to GO would be a nice touch, except not in GO because that sector is useless. A graveyard near F7 would be fitting.

Mining is basically useless as it is due to the excessive amount of creds making it simpler for a builder to just rip components for ores. If I want ores, I'll just rip soemthing to get them (2 minutes) vs hunting for a supplier. All end game ammo that I'm aware of is vendor/looted components (zet/archos are dead). As a TT I've had no use for an explorer to supply me, that the last thing I would suggest is making them even more useless.

I think an off-topic forum section would be good for stuff like this topic, as well as the following relevant picture. Nothing wrong with messing around but should be in a different place.

I heard one of the possible rewards for the 100 or 135 is a CFB. Only reason I'm doing them after 30, because I agree, they are not worth the reward outside of the lvl 30 one (great shield).

I would say "D'oh they got it first, better luck next time". Raging over e-content is no good. Again, people can be weenies about stuff. Boss content is different... FFXI was a good example of that (already discussed by someone else). I don't think we can blame any mechanic for people that are just genuine jerks that enjoy making other people upset. Or nerd rage. Nerd rage makes me smile though.

If people get over this perceived concept of ownership, they won't get upset about "Kill stealing", and so much nerd rage and accompanying threats of smiting their house IRL could dissapear. I'm not advocating shooting people's stuff, but if somoene gets "my kill", such is life, let's move on to the next mob.

Stealing implies you have ownership over something, you don't in this game at all. What you described is someone being an idiot, but there is no "stealing". Chasing someone around is griefing/harrassment.

You likely have to install the framework seperately. It did not come bundled in my install of 7.
