I mentioned this a few months ago.....basically I was told "you do not own the field, so anyone can mine them."

I would like to add to Magoo's statement; i did not play in live, but my husband (strettch) did, he loved the game, he would play on his days off, which were 4 in a row & he spent most of his time off playing a game that he truly loved & enjoyed playing, he was also involved with the team to get the EMU going, played through all of the stress tests & into live; now he does not play; why? because he does not enjoy the game, it frustrates him to see a game that was enjoyable, "easy" to play, not Easy as in no challanges, there were, but now you have made it impossible to level by doing what you are suppose to do.  a miner cannot mine, because of the "guardians" in the ore fields, a trader cannot build, because you made building into "crafting" & warriors cannot fight because you have made the mobs "intelligent".   I have been playing since October of 2010, my favorite race/class is JE, I enjoyed the mining, I could go out to any ore field & mine to my heart's content without worrying about having to fight.  But since this game has gone to "live" I do not enjoy mining; I have gotten my JE up to OL 150, but this was done doing jobs, mostily explore jobs, why, because I could not do the combat, and trade jobs are quite frankly boring as hell.  this was not enjoyable to me at all, at least in the stress tests, I could do combat with my JE if I felt like it.  in ST4 I had one of each class/race up to 150 & they were all done by doing what they were suppose to do, i hardlly did any jobs at all, why? because i could combat grind with my warriors, mine with my miners, & build with my traders.    another thing that irratates me is the multiboxing outlook that you have; most times I do not multibox my own characters, but once in a while strettch & I would "group" to do some combat, now it is almost impossible to do because you have limited this function somehow; you say it is on my end, my router or some such; but the truth is nothing has changed on our end;  in fact when i first started playing this game i was on a wireless connection & was using XP operating system on a $150.00 computer with no extra graphics card & had absolutly NO problems with multifboxing.   in my opinion, you are turning this much loved & enjoyed game into one of those that i tried playing & quit because they were so frustrating, where everytime i logged on to play something was changed so much so that it was like starting a new game.   wanting us to go out & find the new content is all well & fine, but most of the time it is content that is hard to do if you are a solo player & sometimes it is so confusing/frustrating i end up forfeiting missions because they are impossible to figure out.  also alot of the drops are changed, & harder to get.  people have "lost " their comraderie & have turned into credit hungry tyrants. the arguments that go on in all of the chat channels is enough to give me a headache.    ANYWAY, that is my two cents; read into it what you will.

thanks for the response, Blacklung     ok, here's the deal, i took my PW to SE, talked to Silva, got the mission: BEAM LENS RESEARCH, he sends you to the Nishido Weapons Factory.  the Help the Informant WAS the mission in ST-4, must have been changed for live   i apparently did the mission with my PP & just failed the analysis of the beams.

i tried to get the nova flash mission from silva on my PP (silverrose) OL 60, build weapon level 4. he would not give it to me; why?

I am having a major problem while duel boxing.  I am TRYING to get my level 50 HU on my PP (silverrose) & using my JE (rosedragon) to make it easier.  every time I gate, my PP freezes, all sectors have been mapped by BOTH toons.  I have to force terminate the client for my PP.  It is nothing less than total aggrevation.  I don't dual box that often, but when I do, it would be nice if I could do it without having to relog, regroup, rebuff one of my toons every time I try to gate.

I had put this in the bug tracker, but got no response to , so i am reposting here, and trying to esplain a little better; in hopes to get something in return.   I & many others were mining the gas fields in Glenn,  I mine by tab "next", & if needed warping to the target, apparently another player was doing the same thing,  when we both arrived at target, we apparently both opened the mining prompt at the same time; now usually I get a message "already being mined by (player's name), I did get this message, so I moved on to the next target, but when i tried to mine, i got a message, "prospect beam already in use".  Tried several other gas clouds, still got same message, so I returned to the station, docked, undocked & returned to mining, and all was fine, My question is:  should this happen?   I mine ALOT, and have never seen this happen before.  I' m sure to test this you will have to have another player with you, to open the mining prompt at the same time.  OH, this happened a couple of times, it was not a one time thing, & it was 2 different times of the day; other wise i would have just considered it a "fluke".   some feedback would be appreciated.     would you at least acknowledge that you are looking into this?  I KNOW it is NOT an EXPLOIT, but it does interfere with game play.

well, that really sucks, my husband & I "group" almost all the time, & because we are on the same IP, it isn't going to work for us????????????????   may as well put it back to the way it was before, less of  a hassle for everyone.

SIGH....... again everyone misunderstood/misinterpreted what I said. All I was trying to point out was 1) we need more level 9 ore fields; 2) it would be nice if others would show some courtesy; because I do when I get to an ore field & someone else is there mining, I move on; but I guess that is too much to ask, since everyone is out for themselves. I guess , I'll just play the game & not try to make any suggestions.

ok, Gonzo: the same could be said about killing mobs, say, if you are working on killing a mob & a higher level player comes up & kills it, is that just ok, because, after all, you don't "own" that mob, after all the high level player worked hard to have the ability to kill that mob, so he should get the reward????? even though you were there first, working on killing that mob for a particular drop. admit it, you would be outraged. i was only trying to state that it is "rude" to come up & start mining a field when someone else is already there doing so; & clearing a field gives bonus xp, & that would be taken away if some one else mined the last roid, same as "killstealing" more or less. that's the end of my post on this; hopefully you will understand now what i was trying to say.

not sure if this is the right place to put this or not: I have a mission on my JE (Rosedragon): title: Resource supply to the terran, from La Mott on Inverness Down: 1/3 deliver 10 stacks of rainbow silican to Quatermaster Kaden on the ECS Burmen in 61 Cygni (Motto). I got the raw ore & refined it to 10 stacks of rainbow silicon; when I go to deliver it to Kaden he says "hey Rosedragon, where are those rainbow silicons we talked about? I need 500 of them." my question is, which is the correct amount? thanks OMG; never mind, what was i thinking, I don't have 10 stacks; i only have 10 units; I feel like an idiot for wasting your time.

I think we need more level 9 ore fields....period.  the few level 9 roids/hydro, etc. now available in the fields is not  enough to support everyones needs.  AND they are being camped for just the level 9s, leaving the lower level ores/ roids.  Also some of the fields are  used for the "field clear" jobs, and usually the level 9 ones are already missing,& mined even though they are "ear-marked" as a job.   people have become very inconciderate & cranky lately about almost everything: and I have been mining, even in lower level fields & people will come up & just start mining in the same area.... very rude.  the comradery & "friendliness" of people have left this game & it has become very frustrating to play lately.

the server is probly buried under a foot of snow :) j/k.  I have to go out & shovel then go pick up Strettch from work, so you have a couple of hours to get it back up & running, Zack,  I will need to go out to kill something after the drive to relax my nerves :)

the more attention you bring to this; the more people are going to do it.  besides not much you can do about it anyway, same thing is done with level 9 ores, nothing you can do about it, just take what you can get, when you can get & move on.

I did not say i wanted superior/free gear.  you guys are all great at reading things into what people say.  and as always you missed the real reason for my post. therefore I withdraw my statement . don't plan on posting ever again.  will play the game without helping anyone (and I do know alot about the game).  then i won't have to put up with you guys misinterpreting things i say.

i just want to add to this: not only is "casual" building not possible: neither is "casual" playing, as we cannot even get good low level equipment built.  the people who can build decent equipment charge such a ridiculous price, low level players cannot get them because they cannot afford them.  the whole game has become a "chore" to play, and is NO fun anymore

i think madline may be referring to just "normal" grinding, not necessarily "new" content. it is actually rather difficult to "normal" grind, that is why so many people are doing jobs. New content is great, but as a player who takes her time leveling up, & only doing one toon or maybe 2 at a time, it will take a while to get to some of the new content. Not criticizing, just making a statement, I am in no hurry to get to level 150 on any of my toons, i want to enjoy the game, explore, find new things, in my own time the one thing i really am annoyed with is mining; especially low level, where there are new mobs, where there weren't any before, it is rather difficult for a CL 1 JE to mine, even level 1-4 ores now. and please, don't tell me to group with a warrior, that should not be necessary, i like to mine alone, as it relaxes me, i don't want to "have" to have someone with me. thank you for listening.
