  1. As a PW these are mine: 1) Combat Trance not staying on after gating/docking in most sectors (works fine in Jot sector though) 2) Weapons not fully activating or de-activating (only 2 or 3 will turn on or off and the others wont) using the fire-all hotkey ("F") 3) HU mission (believe it was lv100) has some issues to iron out still with spawns 4) Lack of enough explore XP to hit 25-30 range (not PW specific) 5) Weapons going offline (uninstalling themselves) for no reason. sucks when it happens mid-fight though it isnt REAL common
  2. The only fix I can think of that wouldn't effect the PS or TS is to tack another stat onto the JE only mining device that gives +% explore xp or something. If you tack it onto prospect you throw things out of wack for the other two miners, same thing if you just up the xp period. The JE needs some help here for sure. Without jobs they lose one of their best leveling abilities (WH), and they cant really handle themselves in combat to level effectively there as we all know. The PS has solid combat, the TS has solid trade, both in addition to being equal to the JE in mining. All it boils down to is out of the 3 mining classes 2 of them have another "level" they are good at (combat or trade), the JE doesn't have that option and it needs either to be given the option (not a good idea imo) or be given a decent edge in mining since that is what it is limited to.
  3. I recently upgraded to Win7 myself. havent had any issues so far (about 2 weeks now)
  4. Jeezus BFM, never thought I'd see anyone else around here! Most of the early to mid content is around (Red Dragon base, BBW Drone raid, Fishbowl). Everyone is on one server now, I'd guess a few hundred players at any given time. Btw, we played on Orion server Im spending more time on Star Trek Online atm than EnB, trying to see if STO is worth my investment heh, but shoot me a PM if nothing else. Ibeatingu/Whitelighter
  5. I've been playing the STO OpenBeta as well. If you join any MMO at release (or in Beta, which most people forget STO is still in BETA) you have to realize there will be problems. Since I'm in a hurry atm I'll just quick list the good and bad of STO: Good- Space PvE AND PvP actually requires some tactical thought, so far I've been able to solo every mission in an Escort (high dps, but near-no defense!) the skills are plentiful enough that you have choices, and you level up your NPC Officers of your crew as well ground PvE/PvP has the potential to be nice, but atm it is kind of bland graphics are nice, I'd say overall somewhere above EVE graphics and below AION graphics Bad- its open BETA, still some annoying bugs missions do get kind of repetative after a while no true crafting system most (if not all) skill/item desrciptions are very vague and hard to know what does what without trail and error Overall its a nice, fun game. Its not something I'd scream and yell as the best game I've ever played, but its solid.
  6. Well, I'll bite to start it off since it seems no one else will lol. Communication could stand some improving. When it comes to some issues (like the past few days with characters going poof, etc) you could post and tell us what happened, but honestly if we could understand the problem to that degree we'd most likely offer to help with the code, so that isn't what Im reffering to. What I am reffering to is just letting us know whats going on behind the scenes. Maybe a post every 2/3/4 weeks saying "Ok guys, right now JimBob is working on coding job terminals, So-and-so is working on class skills, I'm trying to clean up the overall code to make the game more stable". It'd be nice to see the progress as it gets worked on rather than logging in one day and BAM! something new is there. My next thing could fall under the above, but I'm going to seperate it anyways. Tell us what you'd like us to focus on testing for you. Throw out an in-game message upon log-in "We've reworked ores and hulks, so focus on prospecting lv6+ and tell us if anything is missing. Also mob resists are beginning, you combat types load your ammo and test it out!" I'd say 1/2 or maybe even 2/3 of the players would be willing to focus test stuff extensively for you guys. The forums are pretty good, only thing I can think of is maybe add 1-2 Mods with some (above basic) problem knowledge? The SUGGUESTION forum addition was a great touch, be nice if we had a thread where we could DISCUSS (not bitch and moan why X isn't in-game yet lol) with you guys what we'd like to see in-game next/most. Be nice if a Dev can either work on Job Terminals, or adding a new combat area he can get a feel for what people would like to have more. Plus a thread like that would give a little more insight as to what is possible and what isn't, which would avoid posts asing for 10 new classes and things that aren't feasible (sp?). That's all I can think of that I'd personally like to see. It more or less boils down to a little more interaction/communication with the Devs about the project.
  7. Just tried completely removing Net7 and reinstalling it, on the very last update I got an error message so here it is: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: InvalidArgument=Value of '5' is not valid for 'index'. 8. Posting this here, I hope it is the right forum. I recently downloaded VMWare Player3.0, and upgraded from Vista to Windows7 (anything has to be better than Vista imo). I got everything set-up without a problem, my original system works perfectly, and my VM system does everything it should...except play EnB. On my VM system I can browse the web, use other applications fine. I can even launch EnB but here is what it does: Launch Net7 (fresh install this morning of both Net7 and the EnB client via links on these boards) Net7 updated through the various versions without a problem I can hit play and it will connect, then launch EnB At this point I can watch the intro movie fine, but skipping it or sitting through it doesnt matter, when the log-in screen attempts to come up I get CTD No error or lost connection messages in the command window, so I have no idea whats up. I can play just fine on my regular computer. Anyone have any idea whats causing this? A few things I've tried: Running in Admin Checking the Net7 launch has the right path to the client Logging in one account then the other, and one at a time.
  9. The issue most people have is they are unable to set aside their personal feelings and look at the situation from a gameplay/balance standpoint. Botting gives the "player" an unfair advantage by being able to level faster than a normal player could, by increasing the chance for better loot drops (not so much a factor right now but in the future it will be). It really messes with the game balance and most times it will cripple the economy with-in a game. As for multi-boxing, the advantages aren't much different. You will level faster, have more credits (through loot drops, or crafting-mules, etc) and be ahead of a regular "player" of the game. The only major difference is multi-boxing doesn't hurt the economy as bad as botting does. So from a gameplay/balance standpoint both botting and multi-boxing should be removed since it provides a player with an unfair advantage over a regular player. But because (typically) multi-boxing is easy for everyone to do and doesn't cost much/anything it is deemed acceptable. I'm not trying to say if you allow one you have to allow the other. What I am saying is most people claim bots destroy the game, when infact it isn't THAT different than multi-boxing. The best all around solution would be, and this is if the Emu was fully functional mind you, up the xp from trade/explore missions in the trouble areas slightly so that botting didn't feel 'required'. Limit multi-boxing to 2 accounts at most and allow (if its possible, not savvy enough to know the limitations here) running 2 clients on 1 computer. As it stands not only do the regular by-the-book players have to contend with botting, they also have to contend with multi-box players. Having more than 1 computer shouldn't instantly give you an advantage in a game.
  10. I think these weapons were put in during the Vrix chapter weren't they?
  11. Running a fairly new comp (C2Quad, 2xNvivida 260(1mb) in Sli, 4 gig ddr3, and such) but I also found (a few days ago actually) my old laptop that I used to play E&B on business trips, sadly it seems to have died sometime over the last ~4 yrs.
  12. Since this seems to be discussed here anyways I want to ask something: What is preventing dual-logging clients? I know its something about how the client/game connect but I don't know much about it past that. I'd love to be able to dual-log (if nothing else it makes using a storage char so much easier) since I don't have 2 computers anymore. Someone care to take a few minutes and give me a rundown on this? EDIT: I'm reffering to logging in 2 clients on 1 computer incase it wasn't really clear.
