I totally agree with you, Yusagi. I always pronounced it Zee-pay Toh-tek by using the Portuguese pronunciation.

I'd always pronounced it SHY pe TO tek.   Agree with Pakkrat's other pronunciations, though I can't quite remember how Merjan Kathrada pronounced her name in the original audio file, to new JEs.  I do remember the end of it where she says "You are Aspirant, and I welcome you to the path of the Sha'ha'dem."

I have heard it pronounced "zipe", one syllable, rhymes with "gripe".

Back on ffxi there was always an amusing debate as to the pronunciation of various in-game proper nouns. I'm glad to see EnB carried that similar omniglot approach. I guess that was made easier due to pre-existing star systems' names but I'm not sure where I was going with this anyway...
