From my visit to Eglin AFB and the F-35C Lightning II .
Impressive, but I would like my fighter to have 2 engines.
I got up close and personal with the jet, the maintenance officer gave me a tour of the base and plane that very few have the privilege of seeing.

I had a beer in the Officers bar and currently waiting for my beer mug from the RAGMO (Replacement Air Group Maintenance Officer.

ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 14, 2016) An F-35C Lightning II carrier variant, assigned to the Grim Reapers of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 101, launches from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). I am out here in California not far from my last station in the Navy NAS Lemoore, the west coast base for the F/A-18's and he F-35's.  the base has a Airshow scheduled in September 21st and 22nd,  i am planning on taking vacation to go.

Can only dream about such things -- we've McGill nearby so our lads are your flying fuel trucks.  New plane is coming soon ... which we hope will be in service for decades to come.
