From my visit to Eglin AFB and the F-35C Lightning II .
Impressive, but I would like my fighter to have 2 engines.
I got up close and personal with the jet, the maintenance officer gave me a tour of the base and plane that very few have the privilege of seeing.

I had a beer in the Officers bar and currently waiting for my beer mug from the RAGMO (Replacement Air Group Maintenance Officer.

Can only dream about such things -- we've McGill nearby so our lads are your flying fuel trucks.  New plane is coming soon ... which we hope will be in service for decades to come.

Live right down the road from Eglin.

Then you've been to McGuire's then, if you live in Pensacola, FL.

We were at one of the McGuires St Patricks Day 5K Run, we watched with a beer in hand. :)

I'm glad I got to see the Eglin base and plane, I'm also glad I got my beer steins from the officers bar, the other stein has my name on it as does this post.
I'll always remember them.

Be ready for the heat when you get here the summers are brutal.  (I.e. egg frying on the side was all hot type of brutal).

Summer has started in Florida already.  It's the steamy humidity at 95 degrees and everyday that gets ya ... any outdoor work at all, or even stilling still without shade, and your sweat makes your clothes stick to you.  [Leather car seats just aren't helpful in Florida -- you want the cloth ones; lots cooler.]

Tampa area [McDill] expected to have mid 90s every day for at least the next week.  Rain?  none expected.

Here it is the Middle of July and its a Cool 92 Degrees here   we are a bit below our normal July temps,  how ever the weather reports is calling for Triple digits here for the next week or so  due to a retro grade Hi pressure zone over Arizona and Nevada that is projected to move back west over California, So now we will be Shaking (earthquake After & Fore shocks) and Baking from the extra heat, but hey that's the summer in central california, you get used to it,  just Don't drink the water here if you ever visit,  very High mineral and sulfur content .

Woodstock, It was nice to see another EBer in person.

If and when my brutal hours change at work I hope to be back playing and working on the game, if the DEVs will still have me.

They say will be on a 3 shift routine by the end of July, I'm not going to hold my breath.

Have fun with your JD, they are a fun class to play.

I may try to get on this Tuesday.

Feel free to post your pictures from the other day if you would like.
