I am having the exact same problem with my PS for devices stage 2. I tried tanking my Infiniti faction from +910 to -204 with no effect. I thought that since there is another post about a TT having the same problem that Infiniti faction might be the issue. Stage two was no problem for my PP for weps, reactor, shield and comps. Also no problem on my PS for shield stage two. My PS faction for RD is worse than my PP (-1141). Can't restart the mission since it is cleared at this stage off of my log. I have tried logging off and on and have installed the device in every device slot on my ship. I am out of ideas. I have seen several posts that these missions should be working fine, but also see several people posting with the same problem. Any help will be appreciated.

I am stil having the same problem on my PS for stage 2 devices with the tactical advantage alpha. When it is in my hold, Intuneric asks me to install it. When I install it, she defaults to her "Are you here to learn? Come back later." chat. She does not mention anything about faction and I completed shields stage 2 on this same character. My current faction is: Collegia +10,474 RD -1,141 Infiniti +910 So is this a bug or missing chat about faction?

In another thread, Byakee's comments were that you only need build level two to obtain the device from the shield. I cannot see how you can break down the player made shield as a PP to get the device so I assume it is a trigger for an NPC to help to do that. I have been to all of the Agrippa NPCs with it and have not gotten a response. I am concerned about leveling past the opportunity to do this as I have with two other chars.

That's the trick though. Its a player made shield by another player.

Can anybody tell me how to get the security optimal device out of the amplector shield as a privateer? I installed it, ran around with it installed (it really is a crappy shield even for level two), and talked to all of the npc's. I let mobs shoot at it. Its like a bad Easter egg that just won't crack!

I did that repeatedly. I noticed the alpha holding nav would have a chat icon when you had the ore in your hold. I never saw that for the beta holding. I put a ticket in and I assume a GM advanced it because the refined ore dissapeared from my hold and the mission was advanced. I had the same problem with the refined gold. No chat icon and would not take it. I put in a ticket again and saw the mission was removed from my list. I went back to beta holding and now there is a chat icon which is for the next mission. I have not tried that yet. I repeatedly tried the mission with the repeatable alpha holding nav mission on and off thinking that might have interfered. I also forfeited and used a second token to restart it and that did not help. I'll report if I have any more problems in case this is a mission issue and not a "just me" issue. I cannot get the crossdock beta holding nav to aknowledge me and take the 60 refined manganese. I initially ripped it from comps, but when that did not work I mined and refined it. Am I missing something?

I had the problem too. I had a Malware issue prior to that so I thought it might have been "Just me as well" Good to see everything is back. I am starting to have E&B withdrawl symptoms.
