1. Well, suppose we could just go back to the DPS race days.  He (or she) with the biggest guns wins.   I think the point that we should consider that keeps getting brought up then passed over in favor of new flames is that there are good people in all of these guilds that are more than happy to play nice.  There are those that are not and those should face a ban for actions that are not acceptable to the community as a whole.   The incident with GOBB the other day when VGE was staging and a short handed and under prepared group of Static tagged the trigger mob commencing the event even though they clearly were not in a position to complete the raid shows how petty it can be.  It also shows the flaw in the concept of my tag, my event thinking.  There is nothing then from stopping a rotation of players to simply camp the trigger spawn and kill it.... then assemble a group.  Regardless of preparedness, I could theoretically tag the Controller mob, then ask for people to come join me.  Effectively, I would "own" the spawn.  I could then decide who was going to get the invite to kill it and be sure I'd get what ever loot I wanted as a stipulation for the invite.  Is that really how everyone wants to play this?   My suggestion is to play nice, be kind, and be thankful these pixels are available to us.
2.     Ask for permission to play a game?  Like who?  The devs have already made this very clear, they are not going to get involved in the middle of this issue and they are the ONLY impartial people in this.  And what if those the you say have a decision in this say no?  Then what? Are those that are apparently ready, able, and willing suppose to just sit out and let others experience content or gain content because they are one of the "Big Three?"   And what if there is more than one group of small guilds that want to do raids?  Say there are 2 or three groups?  Then what?  Are the members of the "Big Three" going to be content doing GOBB or Controller once a week or less?  Will VGE or BI go all Static and just try and take what they want?  Then where are we as a community?    There was an idea for a Peggy style auction oriented public raid that can be hosted by a rotation of the "Big Three" or whatever core group wants to lead the raid and guide the masses, including setting up the groups, requiring TS or vent, or whatever else.  But the system was to essentially let credits purchase what ever gear you want.  Thus, smaller guilds can get in on the fun, people can actually get some gear, and there would be a boon to the economy by actually placing a value on credits.  There raids would have to be scheduled and hosted with a weekly sign up somewhere here on the boards and the loot only subject to he with most credits wins.    Just my .02 worth, but if you start telling people they cannot raid or place the decision in the hands of those that have a vested interest that lies somewhere else. then people will stop playing (and paying via contributions).
3. People don't seem to understand that this game, like many others, is successful based on the community.  As a collective whole, the community will decide what is fair and reasonable regardless of what the "major" guilds choose to do.  If the community feels like they are getting screwed in this whole thing, guess what, brainiacs, they will stop playing and there will be no-one but the "major"guilds and their phat loots fighting over spawns.   That being said, because this is community based, its about relationships as the foundation of this game.  No matter what guild you're in or not in, if you have a good relationship with players within this game you can have every opportunity to experience every event that this game has to offer.  Sure you may take a back seat to a guild member of the hosting guild of the event for loots, but most likely not.  As long as you're not the whiny, complaining, bit#$% jerk that you should be given EVERYTHING and just make some friends, you'll get your shot.   I know the guild leaders and officers in many of the guilds, have played with them for years, and they really aren't bad people bent on domination (well maybe VGE) of all things phat and loot.  What they hate are people that play by the "me first" mentality that seems to be so pervasive.  My guess is that if you play nice, guess what?  They will play nice too!   Example of this.  BI got an assist on GOBB the other day from VGE with no demands for sharing of loots.  Just good guys helping out other good guys.  (Bell you can see me in game for the credit delivery).  Even though I don't have a toon to yet reach 130, I have no doubt that when I get there, and when I ask properly, invitation to do whatever I want to do will be made.  Its not because I am someone special, but because I know the value of good relationships within this small community.   I suggest some of you reflect on the value of broadening your relationship base.  You'll find it beneficial.  I promise!
4. If Static thinks they were getting the shaft before.......   don't give bon bon and his merry minions a reason to organize.  you won't like the outcome.  Builders, by sheer numbers will put a stress on the raid timers, but the evil empire will rise strong!     Hahahaha...   Seriously, pulling out of the rotation will only lower the opportunities everyone has for loot and adventure.    /sigh pixels fighting over pixels...... again
5. Some of you may know me, some of you may not.  I've been playing and doing what I can since the mid-way point of ST2.    I have posted frequently on the Agrippa series of missions, worked with Byah extensively on the clarity of those missions during beta.  I've written a starters guide for the PP.  And, I've been very supportive of the efforts of the development team all the way through this process.  I've done what I've could through this process from helping players, to helping staff (I was one of the first few to test Moto back in the day), and have never asked, begged, or whined unless something was unclear, broken, or unbalanced.    Most of the "old timers" know how often I had helped, built, given locations of spawns, or many other things I've done for them through the years.  I say this not to tout my own horn, but to give some idea from where my comments are coming on this topic.   The development team, for reasons that are not known to many any more, tend to be a secretive bunch.  They have always been tight-lipped about things relating to content.  This issue has been a major source of player frustration for years.  Hell, they recognize this and have reached out to give the "player" a spot via the Advocate position.  The role of the advocate should be to be the intermediary between staff and the common player.  In a perfect world the "whining" threads wouldn't be needed because the advocate would be just that.... an extension of the greater player base expressing concerns and outcomes to the staff of the general player population.  Unfortunately, with the advocate position becoming a mere popularity contest, egos have gotten in the way in the past.   Gropos (with full disclosure in mind) and I played live together.  We have been friends since I first stepped foot in the EnB galaxy so many years ago.  He brings up some very valid points about the risk of alienating the casual player.  To dismiss complaints as "whining" or other wise denigrate people that are voicing their own concerns is as insulting as it can be.  Conversely, the development staff should not be roundly assailed at every turn in game, on the boards, and in pm's.  All the way around, it isn't conducive to the process of solving the problems at hand.  The staff find it equally insulting some of the comments without thought or tact that are written.  Thus, you get this circle formed like this thread has tried to devolve into becoming.   That all being said, just because something was not in "retail" or has now changed from that vision that in too many of our minds is fuzzy, why not try and constructively address your concerns.  Trust me, if I can get through Byahkee that there were "issues" with Agrippa, these other issues are simple in comparison.  It may take a little while, so show some patience and understand that at the absolutely earliest changes will take a couple of weeks.  It is not as simple as deleting a line of code or adding one.    The boards always get so little attention from the vast majority of the players in a game, I would suggest that the next Advocate host a once or twice weekly "session" live in the game and it NOT require TS.  Perhaps the creation of an "advocate chat" channel would be available for players to use.  That way the chat would be outside the standard chat lines within the game.  Something as simple as better communication would go a LONG ways in solving a lot of the issues that exist.   /end wall o'text
6. EDITED AND REPOSTED:   A while back, I was asked to write up a guide for the PP.  I don't know what happened to it or the other guides that were written by other players.  They would be handy, I suspect, in helping you and others in the early stages.   Here is  the one I wrote.   https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Bz2tQ3SpiXycQlVyYWpLaDZGVEE/edit?usp=sharing
7. Thanks Byakhee and Hobbs.  I thought it was still strictly limited to hull classifications.   That changes things a bit.   It would be nice for there to be things specifically in game to generate collegia rep........   I'll ponder it some and see what evil i can devise!
8.     hobbs.... HAHAHAHAHA!!!!   seriously..... not trying to be rude, but where I can mine, there has not been a SINGLE suit.  Also, being low level, I don't have 3 million between three toons let alone 10 million I can blow on stacks of suits.   I cannot take another level on the PS for fear of hitting the magical OL 75 thus being unable to do stage I.   You suggestions may have merit if this toon was an alt generated for the inner-masochist in me, but he's not.  I have approached leveling this time around as if I were a completely n00b player without any contacts or information.  I have taken only the minimal assistance thus far.  As far as I can tell, it would be virtually impossible to get the necessary faction by simply following the story content as presented in the time requirements needed.   There is not a SINGLE NPC that mentions faction or faction faction requirements for this mission line.  Had I not been so involved in the vetting of the Agrippa missions thru the various testing stages, I would be unaware that they existed.  That in and of itself is problematic for the mission line as well.
9.     B.... starting to work my way thru these again.  I am having issues with my PS and his rep.  He has hunted almost exclusively RDs for CL, but the 1 point per kill ratio on rep is just flat sickening.  I've kept mostly balanced (for a miner) 23, 28, 23 in terms of levels, but he is rapidly approaching lvl 75 and has no where near the rep needed for stage one of shields and devices.  NO ONE will talk with him at Nor Vor.    Larry is currently sitting at +430 Collegia rep.  He started out at -1000 rep. His RD faction is -9187 while starting at  -7000.   I guess I am at a loss as to how to get the rep in line at such low levels fast enough to not get out paced by the level requirements?   I have done everything to date on the PP and PW (both are OL in the low 70's) that they can do without any issue (other than a major TIME sink).  But, I just can't seem to get the PS's rep under control.   Any suggestions?  I am going to shelve him for the time being, until i can figure out how to get the rep moving faster.
10. The PP is a very capable solo fighter as you are leveling.  I personally have not used or intended to use the pp as a solo fighter at higher levels because they frankly don't have the reactor capacity to go toe to toe with lvl 50+ mobs.  He is able to solo most lower level content without issue, but a good tip to reactor management is to always stop firing ALL of your weapons with 1/4 reactor cap left.  This will prevent you from discovering too late you can't recharge your shield, warp away or anything but sit there and die like the guy that didn't think ahead.  Often, I will just fire one weapon as my reactor recharges between shield charges.  The single weapon prevents your mob from regenerating its own shield and really doesn't take that much energy to keep it on.   That being said, I always have a guardian device installed (until you get shields that will buff recharge skill) to help alleviate some of the slow charging at lower levels.  Blood devices are nice, but I don't use them on the PP because the device slot is better used for other things.  I run a nav comp for speed and scan buff, basilisk to debuff for chem (if fighting ships) or the guardian, and usually a harpy for speed on looting or stick the guardian in here.  You can pretty much run non-stop until you empty your hold of ammo with a little reactor management.   As you level up, keep up your recharge skills, devices, reactors, shields, PLs, and build weapons.  NOTHING is more annoying than having to use someone else's ammo when you're shooting PLs.  Engines aren't a big deal unless you just want to go faster.  During ST2, 3, Beta, and now live, I've stopped at level 3 until I have an excess of SPs.  Then, you stop at lvl5 until you max out your core skills and back fill with the ancillary skills like engines.  Critical targeting is important in solo combat, but not at the detriment of the core skills.  If you're not running solo, but multi-boxing it with the PP as a healer, then pass on CT until you have other skills completed.    As for negotiate.... its entirely up to your style, but I try and keep nego as a core skill that is kept up to my level; its just the last core skill that I worry about pumping SPs into.  Menace and SI are irrelevant in my opinion until you start rep farming.  SI is nice for rep but thats about it.   Just my opinion on this.....  hope it helps.
11. I did it the other day on Larry and it moved along just fine.  I don't recall any specifics, but I didn't have any hang ups either.  But, since the patch on Saturday, things have been a little wonky too.  I was doing the lvl 50 HU mission and it took forever for the satellites to spawn.  Lots and LOTS of drones, but very few sats.  It was funny because the night before I had done the same mission on the PS and there were lots and lots of sats and just a few drones.  Pre patch and post patch.  Don't know if the patch tweaked things a bit, but it may be worth a check.
12. I am planning a suggestion post for improving the agrippa technology line of items. It will not have ANYTHING to do with the missions, but rather the items and possibly and expansion into other gear for the "lesser" races.
13. https://forum.enb-emulator.com/index.php?/topic/7360-agrippa-technology-tips-and-observations/ This is the thread where I give out some tips and observations as all three stages were completed on Joeboo.
14. The only hang up that currently exists is that of the Stage I weapons and ammunition. Bug report here : https://forum.enb-emulator.com/index.php?/tracker/issue-422-agrippa-weapons-build-stage-i/ Byakhee, Darkk, and Freak are aware of the hang up here and are working to resolve it in an appropriate manner. Magoo is involved at this stage at the moment as well.
15. A few observations and some thoughts after completing the Agrippa lines of shield, reactor, components, and weapons on Joeboo. Joe was created for the sole purpose of testing the Agrippa content as was instituted within the game. I know that there are some changes forthcoming to the text and such, so I won’t necessarily speak to the specifics of missions or the challenges posed by the former style of content delivery. I’ll let subsequent Progens address the changes as they come across issues or problems or want to sing the praises of the challenge. Joe was able to progress through Stage I, II, and III with only minimal difficulties in terms of broken or bugged missions. The areas in which he encountered trouble have been documented and discussed with The Powers That Be and they are aware of them. So, it is doable without a ton of problems that have plagued Agrippa in the past. Just be patient, it is NOT a fast process. If you are into quick fixes, rapid rewards, and instant gratification, then perhaps you should choose a different race or avail yourself of the bonus content missions and skip the Agrippa Technology. General comments as to how to level and do Agrippa content:

Content is extremely specific as to when you do what. At overall level 50, you can do Stage I. You have until you reach OL 75 to complete it. At OL 75, there is not any Agrippa Technology to be had. OL100 opens Stage II, and Stage III is obtainable once you have maxed out your build skills.
Be careful to only take Agrippa missions with your Progen Mission Tokens. You will have the opportunity to choose between bonus content and Agrippa, but be sure you are taking the correct missions.
Call Forward by a PS will be your friend, unless you have an abundance of skill points. If you call a build skill you retain any prints you may have garnered, but lack the necessary skill to build an item that is beyond your current build level.
There are a number of items that will require you to engage with other classes within the Progen race. This is most easily done within the guild structure or a bit slower you will find items via market channel.
Keeping in line with having items built, it is important to remember that anything you need built it is far easier to have all the components before you look to have an item made. Net-7.org and the database there are your friends.
You will need to have a series of raw and refined ores as well; so, make a friend of a miner or two.
A side note here, other than the lower level “loot” only comps that you will be required to provide the NPC, the refined and raw ores can be ripped from the level 1-4 component vendors in the station and the components you need built including the ores for certain building recipes (assuming you have them printed).
The level 6-9 ores will have to be gathered, as will a fair amount of a particular level 5 ore.
A really good idea is to either utilize existing or establish new “team vault” characters and have them strategically placed at stations that can provide you the items that you will need. By utilizing the vaults you can easily transfer large amounts of items from station to station and character to character.
If the components are not listed for a specific build in your mission log, talking again to the NPC can tell you what item they want. Doing it this way is a bit slow and laborious, but possible and manageable if you have vault characters that can acquire the item and transfer it to you so you can obtain the next item on the list.
If you can ascertain the specific item (not always clear) that you will be building, the database at net-7.org can provide you with the item list to build a specific item. Then, all you have to do is turn them into the NPC.
The NPC’s will take one item at a time or take all the required items. I didn’t take the chance of having them take extras and offered them just one of each item.
In almost all cases, you will need more than one of each item required. It is a good idea to keep on hand a supply of the hull mesh laminates(self-created) as well as the lvl 4 device that the PS make, and as you progress, the level 7 Stage II encryptions(self- obtained), and eventually the level 9 Stage III Encryptions (PS are required for these items).
Testing items you make will be required. In some instances, you can not test your own items, and you must find a willing Progen of the appropriate level and skill set that is defined in your mission criteria.
When you can test your own builds, Stage II, you must equip the shield and the reactor, but have in your cargo the Flachette and its ammunition.
Another interesting discovery, you can complete the “destroy x, y, z mob” legs of missions in a group. It will go far faster than soloing, but it is all able to be completed by a single character player.
So, good luck, fellow Progens as you embark on the odyssey that is Agrippa Technology. As you are cursing under your breath at the developer who is responsible, understand that his is a labor of love and be grateful we have such detailed and race specific content.
16. 9:00 pm UK time, what's that for the civilized world? I read that about 3:00 Eastern US standard time, about right? And thanks for the heads up, Rolo, that was awesome of you.
17. Welp, DOWN GOES FRAIZER! errrr I mean the server.
18. Unable to log in "Connection to the Global Server Failed" at Ms. Megan.
19. Ok managed to complete the mission. The absolute key is not crashing/disconnecting during the whole thing. Joeboo is on his way now to move along on the Agrippa line.
20. Getting the mission now to progress. I forfieted the mission and retook it from Trask in Arx Forgus. Checking, the mission read as the SS above shows, 2/9. I then logged out, and when I came back the mission was 1/9. I suspect that this mission is bugged a bit related to crashing/logging/going off line. I will attempt this and try and complete it, but if it resets each time there is a crash or off line instance, and give the frequency of gate crashes, it may be difficult.... Will keep advised.
21. I was havinig a discussion, Zack, with Black, in game. There was some confusion about what was being done here, thats why I posted this thread. Hopefully it helps clear up the confusion.
22. My character, Joeboo, is being leveled to specifically do the agrippa missions for a Privateer. He is currently doing this mission: This mission requires a PW to be OL30, HU1, and CL 9 to participate. Enter Obsolete. He gets the mission here: This mission requires him to kill 7 mist runners in Od Belt 3, 4 RDs in Tarsis, and 1 Dzuri in Carp. After yet another crash during gating, the mission looks like this: And killing the mist runners at nav 3 in od belt does not advance the mission. HELP please. EDIT: After posting this, I went to Nav 3 in od belt and killed a whole bunch of mist runners and mist lords. Nothing tho, no indication that the mission has progressed.
23. Then why not simply say that in your response email you sent me? "Sorry, once its gone, its gone" gives the impression that there is no recourse for any item, not just a particular item. It would have kept me from posting a suggestion here.
