  Have noticed a DllHost.exe that props up and runs under 3K. When launching the game there's one that starts, then goes away. After loading a character the 3K one shows up. On all map hangs that dern thing was running too. Am thinking it was some Microsoft update that had put it in there, and cannot trace to what program is running it. Going to services nothing appears to be highlighted.   At first I thought it was this multi-boxer program that someone in the forum created. Had noticed that file appearing ever since using it and it never worked for dual-boxing anyhow. Think it was to suppress the game from noticing two instances of EnB running. Have deleted the file but that ~3K dllhost.exe file keeps running - viewed by Windows Task Manager (right click taskbar, Start Task Manager).

  Did not realize that people actually camp fields and their spawn times. This is a game – right? Gosh, hope there aren't bots in EnB too.     If ever I was able to understand code I could probably write my own overlay program for personal use. Will resort to making copies of maps, entering coordinates & rough locations, and save hard copies. For now a spreadsheet would be easier to record coordinates of node fields.     Was supposed to of been a helpful idea..., though did not realize there would be that many implications. Thanks for the input. Change is probably not welcome here. :ph34r: PS: Thanks yet again, Alurra. You roxxors! PPS: Had found another ores list that I was trying to use. Was more miss than hit when it came to the Chili-Popper mission. Swear every mineral I was after only existed in maybe 1 to 3 an hour. Then someone suggested some other areas that I had thought were much higher in levels from the original EnB days.   Was weird to find Black Tazeron in the Asteroid Belts... ABB if I recall.

Providing the Node Finder was approved and it did not violate any rules, am guess it could be like a separate program that runs within the game. Not sure if there is a node tracker program that can show previous mined areas onto the current map or not. Other games have had node & quest overlays that could be used - with an ability to add custom points of interest entered on the current map. Those were save on the client's machine. Everquest 2 had a node tracker, though I ended up using EQ2Maps. Nodes for crafting in EQ2 coincided with the current map level, so there was not much of an issue in finding crafting nodes. Here in Earth and Beyond nodes are all over the place, making a newly returned player or new player's task in finding certain node fields a daunting task. Veteran players know where the hidden fields are, though not many are quick to share them.

Please create a Node Finder for us Explorer types that are fairly new to the game or having a time trying to find nodes. Node Lists are not always helpful, more hit & miss. A Node Finder would help keep the aggravation down and minimize calls in General/New Players chat when an Explorer class has searched and not getting any or minimal results. The idea is like this: Explorer types in what type of material they are looking for, or level of materials. Node Finder searches and brings back a random sector, or sectors Node Finder also displayed the closest known have and/or coordinates to find such fields. Seems simple enough, and would assist in teaching Explorers where the common or hidden fields are located.

  Persistence pays off... got a pop-rock node with lots of Nova Dust from it.  

  These new pop-rocks are fun up to a point. Some go away after a few tries, as one can get the items from inside. Bad part if they also spawn mobs for each try. Was probably having too much fun here but I did get about 150 mobs spawned around me so much that I'd die almost instantly after JSing myself.   Wanted to see how far I could go with this since am not finding any Nova Dust for a mission I have for a Lucky Coin.     Almost did get all 16 tiberium crystals harvested before massive missiles hit me again.

Is the mission Compulsory Contemplation even doable? Have been looking for Councillor Adriel for some time and not once seen the anywhere near the Observation Tower on Dahin Planet yet. She's not even inside the station.

Blacklung & Alurra got back to me today with some very helpful information on changing the Guild Leader (Founder). What worked was: /gc makeleader <Name>

  And logged on today, checked friends list and again it's been wiped. What is weird is that I was out in Antares last night with Widdlewabbit & company, and now I'm docked at Net-7 in Saturn, What's going on??

  Every WH dicovery was wiped. Many zones that I frequented were either half-wiped and totally got. Venus, Mercury, Kailassa all gone, yet VG, AP were intact, VT was wiped. 90% of Fenris was still mapped.   Is the friends and discovery file on my computer someplace so I can start backing these up & have them archived in case something like this occurs again?

  Had played last night up until midnight MST. Powergel & I ran around, while I was leveling TT on trades till she got her L100 hull upgrade; both on same computer. Logged out normally.     Logged in this afternoon and Xelkos' friends list was wiped. Logged out completely, flushed/released/renewed IP address, logged back in. Again, all friends were wiped clean. Had more that 13M on the character, came back with 8M. (Not a big deal on the credits, it's just an observation.)     All wormholes and numerous nav points were wiped out too. The L7 engines that I got last night are still there and usable. Am really at a loss on how this occurred.       Ran TT from same computer and haven't noticed any issues that the JE is having today. Using he TT to regain a few of those lost Nav points.

  Congrats on the ADVocate position!     I don't know who is who yet. Woody tried. Not sure who Blacklung is yet, but am guessing he's the BL that gets blamed for leaving PR gates open? ;) Powergel will just have to be patient a while longer as I don't dare try to rebuild the guild after it took so long to get the emblem in place. :o

Had asked Woody last night if he could change the Founder status to Tease (alt, same account) or Coldasice (alt, different account). Woody was unable to locate the commands to transfer the Founder status and suggested I talk to a Kenu or Karu. Powergel had asked me to join his guild.

  I've run 6 accounts on wireless to create my own guild, though one kept popping out. Took LOTS of determination to create my own personal guild.     At times I can run 3 accounts at once, but that's not often or for very long. Lately have been running two, either on same computer or PC + Laptop. I have a very high end (as of 5 years ago) PCI Express external wireless NIC that I can lock onto even a weak signal and utilize it. Card was made in Japan.

I have done better with Karu's version of a proxy fix. Still get client lockups, not responding, and alts randomly/systematically logging off - but most say it's cause I'm on wireless.

When I returned to EnB was playing alone. As such created my own guild. After a month I seem to be generating friends who've taken me under their wings and as such i thought I would make one of my alts the guild leader - so I could try out a real guild. From what I gathered online, one would use /gc promote (Playername) This is supposedly to promote the select player/alt to, and once at Admiral they would be appointed guild leader and the current leader (myself) would be demoted. When I do this I receive 'Your rank is not high enough to promote (Playername)  - yet I'm the Founder. The alt I wanted to promote is on a different account and is already an Admiral.   When I try to leave I get: You may not leave the guild, you must promote another officer to leader first! Yet when I try to do that I get: Your guild rank is not high enough to promote (Playername)! So I'm kind of wondering what's going on here...     Then I promoted another alt on my account to Admiral, yet am unable to make them leader via the /gc promote command or button.   What gives?

Feel free to delete this topic since it's no longer an issue. If I had the available resources would buy y'all pizzas -  delivered!

Server came back online, so logged on to try the /decal add all ... and ...     You need to submit a guild decal to the devs to get added to the game.  /deep sigh        Rather have the game than a custom guild logo. Will have to accept that I'll not get that logo. :unsure:

There is the EnB Notifier (in the downloads page) that has either a happy green or a red frown symbol, runs in the system tray. Supposed to have sound, though am still waiting to hear it.

Server Failed to respond to Login attempt. Guess this means it's down? What I get for taking a nap... :unsure:

Karu stated that if a game DEV can do a /rdecal that the guild decals would be reloaded. Have a guild logo approved for Time Lords yet am unable to apply it. Karu said that a crash, restart, or a /rdecal would reset the decals. Obviously I would never want the server to be restarted, would a DEV please try the /rdecal command?
